Atiris Heavenstar
"Guess you had busy parents," Atiris blurted, unable to help herself. She grinned deviously, knowing that the last thing most wolves wanted to talk about was the sex life of their parents. For Atiris, there were no boundaries, no lines to be crossed that could make her uncomfortable, and for this reason she tended to push it with others. Indru, however, seemed at least open to her type of humour and if he did squirm she would take full advantage of the situation. She was a terrible tease, even though she meant no harm. She shrugged. "Or they were particularly fertile. You know that large litters are kind of a genetic thing, eh?" She asked, hinting that if his parents had had large litters that he would likely have them too.

While he seemed fit enough to keep up with her wit, she could see that she'd caught him by surprise on the 'amuse me' forefront. She smiled, glad to see that he would follow her orders. She had no idea that she was dealing with the current leader of the other pack, otherwise she might have been a bit less demanding. But she was blithely unaware of this and so their conversation was compromised by absolutely nothing. Her ears flicked forward at the mention of ghost stories, and one of them flicked back at the mention of going out in the snow...Both turned back when he called her crazy, though this also encouraged a smirk to buss her features. "Jerk," She commented, clicking her teeth together. "How about a sentence-at-a-time story?" She asked. "I say a sentence, then you say one to build on the story, and so on and so forth etc. etc. etc." She said. "You start," She prompted abruptly, lifting her ears to take in the scenario he set up.

Indru Tainn

A bark of laughter escaped Indru at Atiris's comment, and he shrugged, grinning, I guess so. They did have a lot of us. In Indru's eyes though it was not a thing to shy away from, it was a fact of life and one that made him proud of his family, they were strong and they were bound to spread the Tainn gene's. Without his parents Indru was very aware that it fell on his shoulders, as well as Ruiko, as the patriarchs of their family to continue the line. You're just jealous you can't touch this, Indru teased, winking at her before laughing again as his tail waved behind him showing his enjoyment. Though he had never thought about it Atiris's comment made sense as his father and mother both had been part of large litters and had them themselves, and he nodded in agreement with her, curious now as to whether it would mean a big litter for him too.

Her harmless insult almost caused Indru to stick out his tongue like a young pup but he resisted, just, amused by how easily she seemed to bring out his childish side. So far it had only been the pups themselves able to do this and now that they were much older they abhorred being a child above all else. Okay, he agreed, not entirely sure what he was doing but willing to give it a try anyway if it kept her amused. Once upon a time a handsome, brave and fearless wolf named... Indri set out from his pack to go and find his fortune. A wicked grin was on his face at the play on names making it easy to tell he was joking at his cocky sentence. Overconfidence had always been something Rihael had been sure to knock out of his children. Then, with an expectant look on his face, Indru nodded in Atiris's direction to encourage her to continue.

Atiris Heavenstar
Atiris was glad that Indru was not so uptight as to think that her snippy remarks and prodding nosiness were annoying. If he did, he hid it well and even if he was just humouring her, she was pleased that he did. It meant that he wasn't a stick in the mud, and those were wolves that Atiris naturally did not get along with. They were like sandpaper across bare skin; she always felt quite uncomfortable whenever she had to monitor each and everything she said, and especially the tone she used and facial expressions. Atiris could be read like a book, though sometimes, very much unlike a book, her facial features pretty much shouted out what she was thinking or feeling.

He began the story and Atiris exclaimed an incredulous "Pah!" at the mention of their protagonist's name and description. Two could play this game, though. "Unfortunately, though, Indri had no sense of direction whatsoever (he was pretty, see, but none too bright) and wandered right into a maze belonging to a fire-breathing dragon." She said and arched her eyebrows.

Indru Tainn

His story had gotten the reaction he wanted too and he tried to keep his face deadpan when he finished, ignoring her small exclamation of indignation at his story and just simply inspired name choice. Atiris was not one to bested though and she soon took the story on a twist, turning Indru's brave and wonderful hero that was based of someone he knew rather well into a bit of a buffoon. At the mention of the particularly aesthetically pleasing description of the hero Indru titled his head and winked obnoxiously, tail waving behind him as he grinned to show his good intentions. It was a different meeting to say the least with this game she had created but it was passing the time and was amusing at the same time so Indru was no one to moan.

Soon, however, it was his turn again to continue the story. It was lucky for him though, Indru began, trying (and failing) to hide the Cheshire cat-like grin that was curving his muzzle, that not only was this wolf brave and fearless he was — without a doubt — the best fighter the world had yet to see. Unable to stop himself he laughed quickly in between, a deep boom, before he shook his head and continued, further inspired. So it only took one deep, throaty snarl from Indri to have the dragon cowering down at his feet and pleading for mercy. Then, satisfied, he gestured towards her his nose eager for her to continue and see how she butchered his masterpiece further.
