- when i look at the stars i feel like myself
He sat along the river, several yards outside of Swift River borders just wanting to clear his head. He was by himself as far as he knew, and if it were not for the moonlight it would be pitch black, and he would be nothing but a shadow of the night. But the moon was high, the skies were clear, and by the low temperature it was clear fall would be coming.
Fall. The male did not mind the coming of it. He had had his fill of summer's heat. It felt perfect out in the night , like this, and he was starting to become more of a nocturnal creature than that of day. He didn't think it'd matter, or anyone would notice. It was just easier to escape the sun, and often times others. He still felt out of place, even though he was home, and everyone else was. Or almost to say the least.
His breaths rose, and fell like wisps of disappearing fog. He watched them, always amused by the patterns until his topaz eyes wandered to the bright stars. He missed dear Ozera, and wished she could be here. He had so many questions she could help answer. She was gone, like his parents; who he most of all he missed. He wrapped his tail tighter around his haunches. He thought he could have talked to them, he did not feel like Indru should have any more burdens; he had his own children to worry about now. And Triell was no longer a child, e ven if he felt like one.
