Desideria Barreda
Hurried, but not frenzied, the muddied pair quickly worked their way back out of the Silent Moon territory as silently as they’d come. So far, they’d followed all the rules – a wash, a disguise, and no greed. Noble took what she needed, and the rogue took the replacement for Namid’s personal cache. They were almost home free when the yearling stumbling and Desideria came to a sudden halt, head snapping in the direction of the puppy. A puppy had discovered them? It had to be chance, the rogue realized – pups of that age had neither the heightened senses nor the understanding to hunt down a pair of thieves. She still for a moment, glancing at her partner in crime with a full mouth. It made it a bit hard to speak…

Fortunately, it seemed Noble had no intention to harm the child. With a growl, she charged, neatly swerving around the chubby pup, glancing behind to make sure the rogue was following. Rocking back on her heels, the small adult broke into a gallop, neatly springing over @Wren as she bounded around him neatly, loping after the swarthy yearling with ease. This was no problem – even if the boy sounded the alarm, they’d be long over the border with no scent trail for the adults to follow. Even descriptions would be useless!

Des smiled around her prize, breaking into a full run as she trailed the other wolf. Hopefully this was all the approval the woman needed, a bright face and a following – the rogue wouldn’t have done any different if she were on her own. Bolting for the pack’s borders, they were almost free.

The child was quite confused by the situation, but he remembered stories that he had been told, particularly the one that Tannis had told him, and how all of them had been very brave wolves who never shrunk away from fear or danger. The two wolves started to run away from the territory and Wren felt a certain measure of success, feeling proud that he had scared away the intruders, since he remained oblivious as to why exactly they were running away from a small pup they could easily over power. He didn’t yet know how packs ran and how little threat he had posed… all he knew was they were leaving at fast-paced speeds and that was good enough for the Destine Caravello child.

The puppy had a grin to him, smiling victoriously as he started to bound away, back towards the den that his family had called home since shortly before the birth of himself and his sister. His tail was wagging furiously, eager to tell his sister about the encounter though he intended to keep it a secret from his parents, because they would scold him for sure. He wasn’t supposed to go far from the den, though his father was too busy to notice and his mother did her best to balance pack duties and raising a family, she too didn’t notice most of the stuff him and his sister did. He ran back to the den, calling out his sister in a sing-songy tone. “Maeve, guess what!”
