ooc: @Naberius - totally forgot who I was tagging sssh. *FIXED IT I AM A WEIRDO*

Careful paws seemed to go trickling over the grounds with the useful sigh that seemed to be beckoning on the edge of the tongue. Why she seemed to be so intent to keep her paws moving was anyone's guess, but the curiosity was beckoning her. She had been honest in her intent, traveling toward the mountain (as if she could suddenly hit some realization if she got off the flatter grounds), but mostly the reasoning was that the Liers yearling was becoming frustrated. Surely there was someone out looking for her... But there was a silent admission that it seemed to be not so.

It was why there was no missing the slightly, well blunter now, morose look when sh was confident when she was alone. Now that her mother was gone, there was no one for the youth to confide in. There was no secrets to share, there was no playful tongue to be given. What she should have been on the better stand, taking herself forward with the passionate push on her tongue, knowing that she was in the right step toward making a life for herself.

In part she knew she should have been able to find a pack, settle down and curl up in a ball somewhere where someone would have told her what to do and how to act. As it stood, there was no easy way to make sense of the things that were going on in her mind. As if she was a hopeless individual, she huffed as she found the sticks jamming into her air - and the tongue lolled out of the mouth from the paws that had been dragging over the ecosystem that was all around her, tormenting her.

Perhaps if she had not been such a woman, she had been so quick to absquatulate when her father's mood had turned sour. Without her mother to keep him sane, well, it seemed there was a torment. It seemed someone was being pounded with a harsh reality, and Taslima was not accustomed to feeling like she was on a losing end. Raised so well, it was not easy for her to erased the images in her mid, the brutal words. Let's leave, there's nothing for us here, Lima... But it had been unjust. Her father had ripped her from the very place she had known all her life had been all she had.

Now she was alone, and where her father had wanted to go. Thus far, the Liers had not found a reason to be so... impressed.

It would seem that Isde had some power today. As luck would have it the wanderer's hunt had gone quite smoothly. While the prey was meager as it had to be when one hunted all alone, it was a blessing all the same to have food. The scents of deer and moose had drifted past him; taunting the hungry creature who had foregone the strength of others. They knew he could not take them single-handedly. No, instead it was a foolish female grouse that was stuffed into his salivating jaws. He would have eaten the creature on the spot if it hadn't been for the yowls of a pack of hungry coyotes. They knew he was alone, and despite the threat Naberius posed to them he was thoroughly outnumbered. Determined to evade their pursuit he fled deeper into the ghostly forest. Strangely the animals had chosen not to follow him quite this far.

The eerie atmosphere seemed to explain that though. His fur practically bristled as he moved through the ankle-high fog. At least few other creatures would be here to bother him. A rare break in the canopy above offered the Zamora man a glimpse of his intended destination; the majesty of the mountain that had dragged him here from days away. He was so close. And yet, he was still very, very far. His steps halted as he gazed upon its cold slopes. It was still miles away from him even when he was so near its base. Doubt nibbled at his mind. Was it even worth it in his condition? He was alright but he was hardly in his top shape. Tossing his head to better secure the fowl, Naberius turned his attention back to the woods. He could probably settle down and eat now...

A distant noise caught the brunt of the man's attention. So far there had been nothing in this place, and here he was listening to footsteps. Simultaneously fearing that his catch would be stolen and wondering if this was another lost soul he could impress or practice altruism toward to gain Isde's favor made the wolf turn around. The wind had chosen to drive both their scents away in a cross-breeze, offering neither the opportunity to scent one another ahead of time. Cautiously he moved toward it; teeth sinking protectively into his catch. He would just go close enough to see... She was off behind some trees; her form just visible through the thick air. The young one couldn't have been much more than a yearling at best, and he felt his tension easing. She seemed to be as solitary as he, and so Naberius brought himself forward.

He had to drop the bird for a second to get any words past his lips. “Excuse me miss,” he began, lifting his well-articulated voice through the fog. His next move was more than clear. Isde had provided him a bounty, and he was to share it. “I am currently in possession of some food if you happen to be hungry.” The man's head listed to the side a bit as he stared. Isde would be proud of him for such charity, he just knew it; even more commendable was that he was feeding a lone yearling. Surely she wouldn't turn him down.

Paranoia was not a trait of her lineage that would have made sense of things, and thus there was no missing her paws taking her confidently. She was almost a bit arrogant thinking that the world would take mercy on her, although there was not always truth in that. The reality seemed to be plodding on the features of someone who would not be able to make sense of what was going on in her mind, and it seemed like she needed to take her steps and make them more deliberate.

As she was stumbled upon though, there was no missing the fact that the confidence she had when she thought she was unseen would otherwise vanish. It seemed to sweep her up with a ease of a paw, and there was no missing the brutal features of what she thought might have been a vibrant and capable murderer. For a few moments, the oceanic gaze was hungrily planned on the features and the soft curves and features of the other, taking in the living and breathing figure that was poised in front of her. But it was not the living that found her stomach twisting almost violently, threatening her reality.

The atmosphere promised that she should have been wary, but there was no missing the reality in her eyes. The fearful gaze seemed to settle, and she found herself swallowing as she eyed the bird that he had caught. The generosity caught her off guard though, and her voice was soft; "N-No mister, I couldn't take somethin' from you like that..." Shaking her head, she was attempting to be appropriate on the features that were bashful, head bowing.

"You need it, don't ya?" Her words were still persistent as she eyed the bird, tail tucking. But she maintained space, attempting to be respectful of the elder. She was going to catch something, somehow. Not sure how she would actually make sense of it all in the end, but she could hope - she still watched though, looking at the handsome male. Gosh, why would he be so kind? For all he knew, she was rabid and abandoned for good reasons... a story would be so much better than the reality.

Too bad, it seemed he'd frightened her. Naberius studied the youngster as she studied him right back, seemingly in shock at both is appearance and his gracious offering. Her eyes lingered for a long time on the proposed gift though; long enough for him to notice and for his suspicions to be confirmed. She looked hungry. Still, her feather-like voice attempted something of a polite, obligatory refusal. His ears fell back for the slightest of moments. Still, she was definitely no threat to him, and the Zamora man was more sure now than ever that he had made the right choice, and that he would need to pursue this line of decisions. A humoring smile crept to the edges of his black lips as he regarded the female. This was a most fortunate encounter indeed.

Hardly needing Isde's encouragement but feeling it all the same, he lowered his nose to the creature's side; giving it a gentle nudge while looking up at the yearling hopefully. “I need food yes, but you do as well,” his tongue flipped away while the man took a slow step back from his present. “And more than I do I would think,” he added, tipping his head again. She was a bit slight after all, and a growing wolf needed more sustenance. Naberius could go for a longer period without eating, and he was likely much more skilled than a youth such as herself. Sensing that the prospect still might be too much for her to handle, and still hungering for a meal of his own, Naberius revised his earlier statement. “How about we divide it in half, hmm?” His face was still as warm as ever as he tried to secure the acceptance of this good deed. His charity was worth much more if he could actually have an effect on another after all. Isde would know he was serious by this.

ooc: Eeek! Sorry about the delay!

Hunger was a source of so many wolves' lives. It was a danger to the senses, and such was why there was no missing the softening of the features as she still tried to keep her eyes riveted upon the male. Such was a dangerous thing to be in a threat, and tail seemed to swing from the notions that were going through her mind, and the she wolf swallowed with the pretty touched paranoia. What if he punished her?

Ears seemed to come pressed against her head as the paranoia came leaking into her features, and she tucked her tail. "Mama always said it was wrong to take from others, just to be thankful for every breath, even if it was a painful one, sir..." In all honesty, Taslima had no clue if she was trying to stop herself from taking it, or justify to him why there was such a heavy look of guilt that filled her eyes. Almost like she had been punished, and that was the last thing she would have wished for.

Bowing her head, she finally crept to him, she bobbed her head lightly. Cut it in half. She could repay him easier then, and she found herself pulling her lips into a tight line with the intent that was playing o n her features. "Please, allow me to be humble in accepting, I am a burden that's not yours to bear." Nodding her head, she licked her lips with a hint of nervousness - the strain was evident across her features, almost wanting to beg; "I am honored by your kindness, I... It's been a while..." Sheepish and strained, her tail wagged tentatively.

OOC: This post should not have taken me this long X| Sorry!

The timid girl was harder to convince than most. Usually a loner such as herself would jump at the chance of a meal; freely given or not. Instead she continued to restrain herself; something that could have frustrated him if he didn't sense just how close the girl was to caving at his feet. Still, the man's face remained soft and interested as she spoke, and he found himself nodding. Naberius drew his eyes away in that moment, contemplating what had been said while at the same time hoping their removal would lessen the pressure. She was right; Isde did not approve of theft. But this was no thievery. This was a gift; this was Naberius doing the God's work for him, as a loyal subject. Her notions of gratitude did resonate with him however; though not as deeply as they might have. If one's breath was painful, it was because Isde had not helped them; or perhaps could not. It was a situation that had to be remedied. Pain was brought on only by the Cainva, and it was certainly nothing to be thankful for.

His own mental ramblings aside, pale green eyes drifted back over her form as the girl moved. Still feeling her anxiety and knowing now that the acceptance and therefore reward for his good deed was at hand, the wolf stepped back to allow her more space. If anything Naberius hoped the gesture would tip her over the edge of indecision. The tawny man shook his head at the yearling's pleading, answering with eloquent words of his own. “We are all each other's responsibility.” He replied. Isde cannot do this alone. Before long she was speaking yet again; and offering him the gratitude he so desired with a delicious side of deference. His own tail moved to mimic her's, and the man couldn't help but raise himself ever so slightly with a smirking smile on his lips. Coming from him; why yes, it was an honor.

Puffed up by the feeding of his ego, the man continued. “If no one was kind enough to share with others, living would be a much more cruel and trying endeavor.”His crystalline eyes fell down toward her, half-lidded with pride in his own accomplishment. The words that left his maw were a tribute to his God as much as his charity was, and the Zamora brother could practically hear the praise through the darkened forest around them. Without further ado, his smile cracked open, deepening, before his maw closed and the gentleman dipped his head toward the quarry; further goading her to take part in his gracious offering. He reclined back; resting weary haunches against the earth to assure this child of his good will; no matter how selfishly based it truly was.
