Greer Archer-Lyall
fade out w/ greer & archiving so we can have more kyreer threads <3 @Kyna

It was strange being so close to another — both physically and mentally. Greer was thankful he had found friendship in the redhead and that it had stuck, despite the distance. The shadow prince preferred to linger in the shadows; keeping his distance from others and shying away from relationships. Forming friendships led to emotions, and emotions weren’t something Greer was comfortable dealing with. He preferred to shut himself off — an empty shell exploring the lands of Relic Lore, maintaining a distance between himself and those who inhabited the areas he visited. Shutting himself off was how he was able to handle the blooming relationship between the ghostly Hecate and his older brother. It was natural for his pale friend to be drawn to the dark passenger. He was strikingly handsome (like most of the Archer brood) and held a position of power; what wasn’t to like? Greer, on the other paw, was nothing but a shadow, looming in the background and slipping unnoticed through the trees. Just the way he liked it.

Her soft voice disrupted him once more, his mercury eyes glancing down at the russet girl. This… this was comfortable. This he could get used to, even if it was a dreadfully foreign experience and allowed emotions that he suppressed to surface, it was… okay. Maybe.

It was definitely conflicting. Confusing… Odd. Definitely odd.

Only a moment had passed before his friend spoke once more, filling the darkness with her honeysuckle voice. A small smile cracked his stoic expression, his stone-coloured gaze focused on the youth. He was glad that he had come also — Kyna soothed his troubled thoughts and made him forget about what was happening back in Willow Ridge. ‘… will you stay, for a little while?’ The question caused a flame to ignite in the shadow prince, his eyes widening slightly. It had taken him by surprise — he was unsure of how to respond. His instincts were to run for the hills (or, in this case, the willows) but he couldn’t do that. Not to Kyna. Who needed him. Perhaps having a friend wasn’t such a bad thing… “Greer stay,” he responded quietly, his voice paired with a gentle smile as he nestled in closer to the redhead. “Stay as long as Ky want.” And he would. Until Kyna returned to the plateau she called home, or wanted to think by herself, he would remain at her side. He knew she had a lot on her mind with the many changes in her life and the shadow would be there for the little cardinal. Enjoying the silence that engulfed the once more, the boy returned his stone-coloured gaze to the trees in the distance — home. However, home was feeling less and less like home as of late. This, being here with Kyna… this felt like home.

Fade out.
