Kajika Tallis
Kajika and Moonshadow have reached the borders of Fallen Tree Cove and are waiting just outside them. @Namid and @Vespertio are free to join at this time to complete Moonshadows joining of Fallen Tree Cove

Once it seemed that Moonshadow had said her goodbyes it was time for them to be off on their journey to Fallen Tree Cove. Kajika knew their journey would take some time but he felt they would reach their destination just before dark which would hopefully give enough time for her to meet Namid and Vespertio as well as to get settled in for the night. After their journey and the excitement of the day he was sure that she would be ready for sleep when it was finally time to turn in. for as long time during their journey they didn’t speak but instead traveled a pace that was easy for the young female to keep up with him and by the time they had reached the forest that surrounded Lost Lake and Fallen Tree Cove it had started to snow a little.

It was at that time that Moonshadow asked him a question that he should have been expecting, “I joined because this pack seemed to be what I was looking for in a pack when I first came to these lands,” he explained, “The Alpha’s are fair and willing to help their subordinates and all of the members are nice and willing to help out as well. Also we all pull our weight and do what we can to help the pack.” He had left out Des’s part in his joining Fallen Tree Cove because he felt it wasn’t the time to tell her and he wasn’t really sure he was ready to talk about it just yet.

Finally they reached the borders of Fallen Tree Cove and Kajika stopped just short of them not wanting to bring Moonshadow into the territory before she had been given permission by either Namid or Vespertio. “Now remember to be respectful and you should be okay,” he told her hoping that would be enough to get her through the meeting. It was all he could do for her because the rest had to be done on her own. Then he raised his muzzle into the sky and called for Namid and Vespertio before letting his gaze fall back to Moonshadow, “It shouldn’t be long now,” he said with a reassuring smile.

Moonshadow Eastfall
It wasn’t long before they reached the pack borders. Moonshadow took a deep breath, breathing in the mixture of nightshade, pine needles and white fir. It was a pleasant earthy scent, which the girl instantly identified as the pack’s scent. The surrounding forest was calm and lightly powdered by the snow, allowing her to relax a bit.

Kajika’s answer to her question was helpful and reassuring. It made her feel like this was going to be a good place for her to call home. He offered one last piece of advice before calling for the alphas, “Now remember to be respectful and you should be okay”. She looked at him and nodded with a slight half smile. She hoped that being on her own for long hadn’t caused her to forget too much about her upbringing. Her parents had always taught their pups have the utmost respect for not only their superiors but also their elders. Moonshadow was raised to always say no sir, yes sir, no ma’am, yes ma’am and believed that it would leave a good impression on the alphas.

“It wouldn’t be long now” he said, his words echoing through the youngsters thoughts. Moonshadow tried to take deep breaths in order to try to calm her ever quickening heart rate and nerves. “It’ll be ok. You can do this. Just be yourself” she told herself over and over until the arrivals of hopefully her future alphas.

Namid Vuesain

It was cold, so very, very cold. It had begun to seep into her bones it felt, even with her thick pelt she still wasn’t able to keep out the intense winter winds that buffeted them at the top of the mountain. She would have loved to spend time with Vespertio, perhaps even ask him to take a day to stay in with her and their children so that they could spend quality time together. But…as of the past month or two her mate had seemed off to say the least. The news of Anthem had come as a shock to all of them, hitting the Vuesain patriarch harder than almost all of them save for Nathaniel. Though…the dark male still seemed to be doing better than the Lake King. And if that weren’t it, there seemed to be something else as well that Namid couldn’t quite seem to pinpoint. He was so completely back and forth with her, giving her whiplash and spinning her in circles. Days would go by where she would hardly see anything of her husband, then suddenly he would be stuck in her fur like a burr. She liked the days he was with her the best, but those days that went by where he wasn’t left her frazzled, worried, and utterly confused.

She was jostled from her thoughts by a loud cry in the air, a summons from the borders from Kajika addressed for the leading pair. Namid pushed herself to her paws tiredly, giving herself a good shake to loosen any debris that clung there. Then, she set off at a lope toward where the call had come from. The bitter air clung to the insides of her lungs painfully, causing her to wince but she pushed forward. Her muscles were still well maintained, but it was seen now that that was really all the Queen was, just muscle. The winter months had stripped away any excess fat from her, a result of the meals she had skipped to provide for the pack’s mouths and running herself ragged trying to make up for the members they were so lacking. Fallen Tree Cove was large, and it was almost an impossible task for six grown wolves to maintain on their own. It was quite curious, really, for the numbers to suddenly drop in the winter months then spring to life in the summer. If anything, she thought it would be the opposite.

However strange it seemed to her, she pushed forward until she came upon the scene of Kajika and an unknown yearling. She slowed her pace, tail turning upwards in a slight arch and chin rising regally to show her dominance, but her mismatched gaze remained kind as ever. They swept across the form of the young girl, not yet even into her adult years. She was scrawny, although still taller than the pale Queen who sat on the smaller end of the medium spectrum. She was a striking black to the snow covered earth around them, and her eyes were cast and eerie grey. “Hello, Kajika. I see you have brought a friend along,” she said, the corners of her maw turning up into a gentle grin. “My name is Namid Vuesain, matriarch of these currently frigid lands,” she introduced herself, making a slight show of puffing the breath from her lungs to create a cloud of mist to accentuate how cold it was. Certainly the poor girl was scared out of her wits, though from her subordinate’s posture she thought it wouldn’t be for a bad reason. Hopefully she could show her that she had nothing to be afraid of.

Kajika Tallis

After calling for his alpha’s and giving Moonshadow one last piece of advice before Namid or Vespertio arrived he fell into his own thoughts of the day when he had been accepted into Fallen Tree Cove. He remembered how big of a decision it was for him and now he was the one bringing a new member to the borders. It was then that he realized that this was as important of a day for him as it was for his recruit. Kajika became aware that he had such faith in his alpha’s and believed in his pack to bring another wolf to them who would have the opportunity to grow just as he had within their borders. He wondered if she was just as anxious as he was the day that he had come to the borders to ask permission to join. He didn’t think that she would have too much trouble and felt that both alpha’s would like Moonshadow once they met her. The wait seemed to be a long one though he was sure that it wasn’t but he had to admit that he was a little anxious as well since he was bringing his first recruit to Fallen Tree Cove.

Finally the wait was over as Namid appeared through the trees in much the same way she had appeared the day she had accepted him. Kajika offered her a respectful bow as she approached them and then a smile, “I have, this is Moonshadow and she would like to join Fallen Tree Cove,” he told Namid before letting his gaze fall on the ebony youngster.

Vespertio Vuesain

OOC here!

Disorderly thoughts, confused emotions and unpredictable behavior. Chaos had latched itself onto the Great Plains brute like an unwelcome parasite, burrowing deeper and deeper into the downy fur over the course of only a few short months until it felt like it nearly consumed him whole. Each breath gradually became harder and harder to inhale without some form of anxiety, depression or insecurity trickling into his already overhauled brain. One minute Vespertio found comfort in the darkest recesses of the communal den away from others. Another urging the patriarch to glue himself to his mate's side while accepting no excuse the pale coated woman could conjure in allowing a moments time to slip away from his watchful eyes. He was hot then cold, engaged then disconnected. It was all so exhausting attempting to keep up with his own self, the repercussions of such bipolar onsets visible within the depths of weary eyes.

Today chaos had opted for a reign check within the warmth of the den than to wreck havoc for the Vuesain when Kajika's howl broke across the frigid air. Russet ears angling themselves skyward through the light curtain of cascading snowfall to catch the message encrypted around each note sung. The basics were such; both Namid and himself were requested at the borders, but pertaining what for, the swarthy man spoke not. Ebony tinted lips pressed into a thin line, a moments hesitation present before creamy limbs trudged across the icy stretch of territory separating him from them. Silently the man materialized from behind a set of sturdy mountain pines. A pair of molten gold irises assessed the unfolding scene. Matriarch and mother to his children had unsurprisingly arrived first; his newly adapted lifestyle causing once admirable speed to become sluggish and lethargic at best, Kajika and another dark hued wolf younger in age by a quick glance standing adjacent on the opposing side of the invisible line. Ah, so this was why they were needed.

The words murmured by his mate resonated against erected audits as he approached closer, a charcoal dusted banner curling over equally tinted spine to serve as visual clue as to whom he was upon these lands. A coal black nose pressed tentatively upon her cheek in greeting before sweeping weary gold eyes onto the unknown female. Twitching a single ear toward Kajika it would come to pass that this young female was to be called Moonshadow. An interesting choice of name, but the agouti king was not one to pass judgement on something so benign. "It's a pleasure to meet you Moonshadow. I'm known as Vespertio Vuesain in these parts, patriarch of Fallen Tree Cove. Please, what has influenced your desire to seek allegiance among us?" It was a simple question, but one that would ultimately weigh crucially on her fate.

Moonshadow Eastfall
With a final deep breath the girl cleared her mind and prepared to, hopefully, make a good first impression to the lead couple. Before she knew it a silvery white she-wolf appeared from the trees. She was regal in appearance with her tail and chin raised. There was no doubt in the youngsters mind that she is the queen of these lands. She had mismatched eyes which was something the ebony girl had never seen before. She thought they were beautiful and held a kind gaze. Kajika bowed upon her arrival and Moonshadow decided to follow suit, bowing slightly, making sure her tail was down and that she had a non-threatening stance. The woman before them introduced herself as Namid Vuesain, “a name befitting a queen" the girl thought. Kajika introduced the yearling to the queen and informed her that she wished to join their pack. Moonshadow lowered her head and offered a polite smile “It’s nice to meet you ma’am”.

Before the girl could say anything else a larger male with an agouti coat appeared silently from behind Namid. He was equally as regal as his queen and spoke with a powerful voice that was fluid yet firm. The king stated his name to be Vespertio Vuesain and that it was nice to meet the girl. He also cut right to the chase about her choice to join their pack “Please, what has influenced your desire to seek allegiance among us?".

Moonshadow had thought about her answer during her wait for Kajika to return. She looked towards the pair’s feet for a moment, deciding how to start her answer, before looking back at them. “Kajika has been the most influential factor in my inquiry to join your pack. He has spoke of how fair and kind you both are as leaders. He also spoke of how well everyone works together in the pack and I feel like I would be a useful addition to your pack”. As she explained she tried to speak to both Namid and Vespertio, looking back and forth between them speaking with a gentle but timid tone. “And to be honest…” she trailed for moment looking at the ground “I would like to be a part of a family again for I’ve been on my own for so long.” She looked up with hopefully eyes that almost pleaded for them to accept her. The youngster hadn’t thought about what she would do if they didn’t. She shoved the thought out of her mind as she a waited the crucial answer that would decide her fate.

Kajika Tallis
Sorry if I posted too quickly with the last one.

When Vespertio arrived Kajika offered him a respectful bow too glad that both of his superior had been able to make it and Moonshadow would be able to meet them both. It was made clear soon after the alpha males arrival that he had heard what had been said which Kajika was glad for. He also wasn’t surprised by the question that was asked off Moonshadow, it was an important one when considering the acceptance of a new member, he thought. Though Kajika did wonder what Moonshadow would say in response since it wasn’t something that he had spoken with her about. It was something that he didn’t feel that he should coach her on because it was something that had to come from her heart.

He was proud of the answer that she had given and glad to know that she had truly been listening when he had spoken of his leaders and his pack. However he did not say anything since this was her moment one that he thought she was doing quite well with. Her honesty was something that he felt would go a long way with Namid and Vespertio and he was glad to know that Moonshadow was handling this moment quite well. Kajika felt that if her response to what Vespertio had asked her was any indication of the kind of pack member she would be then he thought she would do well in Fallen Tree Cove of course that was a decision for his alpha’s but he was hopeful for her.

Namid Vuesain

Her mismatched gaze turned to Kajika as he spoke, introducing the dark girl as Moonshadow. It was a surprisingly fitting name, with her eyes ghostly gray and body shadowing them. He confirmed her suspicions that she was there to join, and a smile curled further up the Queen’s maw. Suddenly, Vespertio was next to her pressing a muzzle to her cheek and her eyes widened in brief surprise. Somehow she hadn’t heard his approach, but she recovered quickly and pressed a shoulder to his. He offered his own introduction, ending with a question that she had been wanting to ask as well. Leave it to Vespertio to come in and automatically take charge. Her heart gave a familiar thump in her chest, swelling happily.

Moonshadow expressed that Kajika had been a big part of her decision to want to join, and she gave an approving nod. Both leaders knew of the subordinate’s devotion to them, of how vital and important he was to their pack especially since he had started pursuing the role of teacher. She said that she thought she would do well with the way their family worked as a team, which pleased her. Namid liked to know that her members were willing to work together as packmates. Perhaps the thing that sealed the deal was that she wanted to be a part of a family again, something that the pale woman could relate to completely. “I think that is more than a sufficient answer. If Vespertio agrees, then it would be our pleasure to take you into our family.” she said, her tail beginning to wag.

Vespertio Vuesain
An exit from all of us now and we can wrap this up! Yay! :)

At the mentioning of Kajika a nod of recognition was offered on behalf of the regal patriarch toward the swarthy man, a smile broadening across the expanse of his leathery lips. How truly blessed the pack was to have a subordinate as committed as he to grace their presence. Not only was the Tallis male eager to pursue a role within the pack, but now here he was recruiting fresh able bodies for their cause. A remarkable wolf indeed if Vespertio ever knew one. Soon, though, his attention returned to Moonshadow, russet tinged audits listening intently to her answer. The tawny brute heard no cause for alarm. If anything he was very pleased with her words.

Namid was first to interject her thoughts, approving of the young ebony female. The king of the lake had no qualls with her opinion, his own running parallel to his mate's. Moonshadow would come to be a welcomed addiction to their fold, molten gold irises locking momentarily with the ghostly shade of the newest member. "Welcome home, Moonshadow." He offered with a grin plastered across his maw, creamy limbs striding forward to grip the length of her muzzle between his jaws in a formal display of dominance, applying a fraction of pressure to graze the thinly lined fur with the tips of his teeth. By no means would his actions hurt the girl, only serving to reminder who he was on this turf and to mark her as theirs. The newest addition to Fallen Tree Cove.
