With the directions that Nina had given her, and a bit of trial and error, the woman had made it to what she believed was the pack of Oak Tree Bend. She looked around the strange terrain as she neared the well marked borders. This was nothing like her home in the thickets. In the thickets, she found comfort and security. Here...here there was oddness in the air. Inali tried to shake the feeling. Of course this place would feel odd to her, for it wasn't home. Yet, her gut told her something different. Staying a comfortable distance from the borders, Inali still managed to catch the different scents. Most were unfamiliar...except for one. One tingled at her memory, telling her she vaguely knew this scent. The scent was of a female...a female whose face she could remember but not her name. At least, not now. Wracking her brain, Inali slowly began to remember. She had come to the borders of the Downs. Inali had appeared right after Firefly, then Minka came. Jessie, for that was what she remembered the woman's name to be, brought news from Oak Tree Bend. No wonder the pack had sounded vaguely familiar! They had been seeking a possible alliance, she believed.Jessie had been respectful enough, but she smiled a smile that never reached her eyes. That had disturbed Inali. Well, the past was the past. Inali liked to keep it firmly where it was. Nina had stated that this Triell Tainn was her friend, and Inali believed her.
