While his acceptance was there, it was still just as cold and detached as everything else had been. It didn't quite feel genuine, and the woman was left thinking that maybe he was just being polite with her. She had wanted a real smile, a “don't worry about it” or an “I understand,” but no, she instead received simple acknowledgment. Perhaps his mind was made up already, just as she'd feared. Raela nodded after a second's hesitation, as if to agree that they were at last done. Then silently she turned, padding away from him and feeling the anxieties nipping at her heels with every step. 

She was confused – surely anyone would want an apology for behavior like that, right? Would she not be a poor leader if she never acknowledged her mistakes, her faults? The Queen had so hated that about her own family; that no one could ever be wrong, and no one ever deserved apologies for anything other than failure. She never wanted to lord over anyone, she wanted to guide them. She wanted to be their friend, their family; to be listened to not because she was the most forceful, or because she was feared, but because she was smart, trusted, and just. Wasn't it stronger to admit your wrongs?  

Maybe he didn't think so, or maybe he didn't care. Even as she left the conversation behind physically, the Queen's mind relived and picked away at it. She could not have one of her own thinking poorly of her, and she despised having to just let this be the way it was. Raela had the feeling that if she sought him out again, or tried to explain herself it would only make things worse. What she was supposed to do though, was a mystery. Her inability to read this man was frustrating to say the least. Would @Gent know? Raela flicked her ears in annoyance and picked up her pace.
