Would they ever stop loosing members? Moraxia's departure had been days ago, but it left the Queen of the Notch very unsettled. She had been given permission, yes, but not blessing. She'd picked an awful time to leave; and perhaps there were worse ones, but Raela considered them few and far between. It was a blow; yet another hard blow to the foundation she and Gent had worked so hard to build. There were puppies on the way; the pack needed every one of its handful of members for hunting, protection... and Moraxia had been one of their strongest.

She was thankful that the girl had at least asked to depart, and had not deserted or died. It still felt like desertion though. The mammoth female had been her closest friend; the last of their clan that had even met Minka. There was no plea that would seem to tether her to the pack even a moment longer. What were they to do? At least if she had permission, then maybe, maybe the girl would return? Raela felt it all weigh heavily on her shoulders. Where was the loyalty, the family ties they all needed to become a strong, unified force?

It took time to build, didn't it – but how could that ever come to pass if everyone kept leaving after mere months? She was holding together a pack of strangers. A sigh worked its way past her nose as she moved along; desperate to get this all-consuming dread out of her system. It couldn't be good for the pups, and it couldn't be good for anyone else either. A walk, that's what she needed. A walk to clear her head and loosen her muscles; perhaps it would even settle the wrigglings of the little ones, who seemed to be actively protesting all this doom and gloom around them.

Only recently had they begun to stir in noticeable ways; something miraculous enough to distract the new mother from these pack woes. It would be less wonderful in the coming days, when they'd decide to kick her out of her sleep, but that was later. For now she passed along the lakeside; enjoying the (finally) warm weather and the cool breeze. They would love it here, she knew it.

Zilas
sorry for the delay life’s been crazy, “that” time of the year.
Okay just a quick note, this would be the first time Zilas is calling Raela queen, going out from Gent binge the father of Raelas pups.

The pack had once again lost a member, this time it had shocked even him. Moraxi, a rising guardian and friend of Raela had left the pack. He did not know the reason for her departure only that it had been allowed by the lead-pair. Yet It still puzzled him that she would leave, after all she had been one of the wolves who had been with them the longest she had risked her life in the bear hunt to claim the notch. so why? why had she left them in such a crucial time? spring was at its peak and as far as he could tell from the scents he had caught of Raela there would soon be more mouths to feed. Would she return, or was this yet another member who they would never see again? It still seemed unthinkable that she had been the one, he had expected it to be one of the new-comers.

Razing his face to the sky the white male sighed, feeling the warm sunlight kiss his face. It seemed that Skoll where doing his usual bidding. with the memory of the god his thoughts fell on the white king and his mother. Looking down shadows covering his face he struggled to control emotions witch made no sense. Anger, Fear, Sadness, Hate, remorse and others swirled in his head like a raging sea. He knew that this could not keep on, he had to rid himself of these ghosts. But for now it would have to wait.

As Zilas started walking the light breeze ruffled his fur carrying Raelas scent to him. Changing course he set of in to a steady run following the rushing lake as the rivers song seemed to shoo away the ghosts. And as the river made a bent the lead females now rounded shape came in to view. Taking up the pace he moved letting out a bark to alert her to his presence ”enjoying the weather my queen?” an amused spark in his tone.
