Greer Archer-Lyall

Uncomfortable was an understatement. Greer was completely out of his element in attempting to comfort the former princess of the Silent Moon wolves. He was trying to remember what he had done when he had comforted other moon princess, but he was not sure if it would work the same. The redhead was much different than the pale wolf before him; he did not know if what worked for his friend would also work for the pale girl. While they were quite different from each other, the friendship that had blossomed between Kyna and Greer had been both unexpected and marvellous. She was light and he the shadows — where one was present, so was the other. The russet girl was a welcome change from the somber and sullen wolves of Willow Ridge.

At first she seemed a little taken aback, which did not surprise the slender shadow. He had expected her to recoil from the gesture in a blur of white teeth, but instead she — she welcomed it? Surely it had been a figment of his imagination. The frigid snow princess had actually accepted and returned the embrace? He blinked, dumbfounded for a moment. More so, he was surprised by his own actions. Greer was not the type to show sympathy — for anyone. He did not like letting his guard down and showing sympathy for the wolves he encountered. But, for whatever reason, he was frequently finding himself in these undesirable situations. His brows furrowed at the thought.

Once he decided that enough comfort had been given to the pale girl, the shadow stepped back, his gaze soft as he studied her frail figure. “Where go?” He asked as he took his lower lip between his teeth as his large, coyote-like ears folded back against his skull. Greer was not sure whether or not he cared where the girl was planning on going. She had just received a pawful of not-so good news: was there anywhere left for her to go?

Celandine Argyris

Celandine felt his heat pulling away, and took a step of her own backwards. It was all that she could do to stare at him like an idiot, scrambling for words that did not exist. The former princess thought to threaten him, to strike fear into his very being, but really what could she threaten him with? The soot-colored man had a whole pack, and she was all alone now. Maybe she'd ask him nicely not to tell anyone, but what was the point? He probably couldn't tell anyone if he wanted to, and he had been the one to initiate the thing that happened anyway. She had been in shock, and he took advantage of it. It wasn't her fault.

His voice washed away her paranoia for a moment, as he asked where she planned on going. Well, she hadn't quite had the time to figure that out. There was no Plateau waiting for her, no family expecting her return. The former heiress had no home. "I.." Maeve. She still had to find the monochrome girl. Pale ears, which had previously rested atop her crown perked forward, alongside the ebbing numbness in her paws. "I'm going to find Maeve." Celandine wasn't really sure if she was answering his question, or simple stating a thought aloud. Regardless, it got the job done.

Greer Archer-Lyall

It was apparent that the pale girl was just as uncomfortable with the situation as he was. She looked just as relieved as he felt once he had pulled away, which put the shadow at ease. The former moon princess was not the type to be comforted and he was not the type to give comfort; they were a perfectly imperfect pair.

Where was there for the girl to go? Without the plateau intact and knowledge of where her former packmates had gone, Greer realized that he had been foolish to ask the girl of where she planned on going next. She had just discovered that the white king had fallen, surely she had not thought much further ahead. The corner’s of his lips fell, his forehead creased as he watched the pale girl struggle to come up with a response.

Maeve. His ears perked at the name, mercury eyes widening in recognition. While the shadow was usually not good with names, the grayscale girl had made left an impact on the quiet Archer. She possessed a sharp tongue and was not concerned with being liked. In fact, she had been quite rude to Greer during the time they spent together, even after he agreed to help her find Kyna. “Greer know Maeve,” he stated with a flick of his tail, pale gaze fixated on the girl. “Help Maeve. Go East.” The silver girl had been in the same situation as the former moon princess; reluctantly, the boy had helped the snarky stranger in hopes of crossing paths with Kyna once more. “Maeve find Ky.”

Celandine Argyris

Celandine couldn't help but notice the way his dark ears seemed to twitch when Maeve's name fell from her lips. A suitor perhaps? Amber eyes searched the man from head to toe, tracing the lines of his form. He wasn't unpleasant to look at, but was he really the yearling's type? Did she even have a type? Of course Maeve would pick a 'silent and brooding' one. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, the former princess simply nodded. There would be time to speak of such things once they found each other.

"Maeve find Ky" Celandine made no motion that would have given her feelings towards Kyna away, but her mind was going haywire. Maeve wouldn't have followed the little mistake, and her mother. Or would she have? No. The silver girl know what Aponi was capable of.. unless. East. She would follow the only lead she had, and pray to the Gods that it wasn't too late. "Thank you."

Oh, and there was one more thing. "I think.. that both of us should forget that this happened." The Argyris woman was sure that he would know exactly 'what' was meant to be kept a forgotten. Greer didn't seem like he was much for conversation, but Celandine was certain he wasn't daft. Spinning, the alabaster female made her escape. She'd leave the dark boy to his lonesome, and find Maeve. Oak Tree Bend, and then East.

Greer Archer-Lyall
@Celandine archived <3 we'll need an updated wth them @ whitestone now :3

A shrug rolled off his shoulders as she thanked him for sharing what he knew with her. The only reason he had shared the information with her was in hopes that she would take it and leave him alone. However, the yellow-eyed dove hesitated. Her voice filled the space between them once more, causing his forehead to crease. He was perplexed as to why she would want him to forget about their encounter but he did not push further. Truthfully, he there was a good chance we was going to forget about what had occurred without the help of her request. Greer wanted to dismiss it just as much as she did, for it had been a lapse of character on his part. Being void of emotions was a much better look on him.

Offering nothing more but a short nod and a hard stare the shadow collected himself, his nose wrinkling as he stepped back away from the dove. Without any further delay the girl spun around and made her exit. As her pale form disappeared into the landscape Greer let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. The quiet was warmly received, a smile unfolding across his dark maw. He had half a mind to follow her to ensure she left the willows behind her but, for now, he remained where he was. The border still needed patrolling and once he decided enough time had passed he would follow her scent to ensure she was not lurking nearby. With another sigh rolling off his tongue the boy broke into a light trot, his slender body weaving effortlessly through the trees as he allowed thoughts of the dove to disappear from his mind.
