Eek had been here some weeks now, with barely a wolf to meet she found herself rather underwhelmed by this family. The children were all but grown and none were on the way (a sure sign of imminent death for a pack unless something changed and soon), and the wolf directly above her had slipped away like the distant shadow she seemed. It was a disjointed pack, each wolf keeping to themselves and isolated from the next, it left Eek in a rather advantageous position, but first she had to recover from the rigmaroles of her lonely existence. So she had wasted no time, catching small prey to fill the caches to replenish what she had taken (and then some), and when the snows finally finished melting she had begun to gather the tools of her trade.
Aconite and Arnica were double edged swords, likewise Ergot could have just as many ill-effects as helpful and still be passed off as a simple miscalculation. Hellebore was good for a scare and readily available - she would have much preferred some rattle grass but she would need to go somewhere much more open to gather such. The nightshade would be fruiting soon, easy enough to slip in with chokecherries for some extra chokieness, but both would require going over the mountain and she wasn't quite ready for that yet. It would be hard to pass off cowsbane for anything but what it was and so she left the plant be, mercurial eyes scanning the scant vegetation in search of something more.
