Elettra Archer
@Angier

Thunder shook the night, sending loud cracks that could stir anyone from slumber. Elettra had been up for hours, a still statue frozen in her placement at the mouth of Willow Ridge den site. She watched the storm rage on, twisting the trees of her home, the wind tossing debris over the clearing, pure darkness engulfing everything until a flash of lightning left you blinded. Elettra batted her pale eyes, her ears folding down to her skull in readying of the loud crack of thunder to come. It boomed, shaking the trees, sending the fur along her spine on end. Her head tosses over her shoulder, sure that by any moment Angier would be coming slowly to her side, woken by the storm as likely the rest of them within.

Worry overwhelmed the mother, who's daughter was out in this - somewhere, anywhere. Morganna had left them so suddenly that Elettra had not fully to this day comprehended it. Giving away her position was not easy and not without trial. In truth, had Elettra not injured herself she would have not given her position so freely. Being injured had been a cop-out, an easier way of giving reason for her not being Leader. Though in that time Morganna had gained a number of allies, some of which had joined the ranks. Most of the pack was on her side and just when Elettra was sure she had solidified her placement and would be everything she had ever hoped for, Morganna left. Disappointment was the least of her emotions, though she did not lie by saying the feeling did not fester in her. Now at eight years old, she was thrown back into the position she had long now accepted retirement from. She wore the position more or less now as a burden. She was the Leader because she was the best, she always had been, without a doubt. Though a need to spend whatever moments she had left with Angier far out-weighed that of tending to the rest of her members needs. If Nicolo had wished to hold onto Leadership so badly then Elettra left the floor open to him, waiting for him to take the reigns while she was other wise occupied. So far there was but silence.

Summer thunderstorms were on the rise now that Spring had finally thawed all the snow. Once afraid of the sudden flashes of lightning, Angier could only be slightly startled by the thunder; in the dead of night, however, he was oblivious to it in the grasp of slumber. It was only when the chill of the storm came to caress his side, accompanied by a sky-borne crash that sounded just above the pack den that he awoke with eyes wide and fur bristled. For several moments he seemed to search in the dark, forepaws inching forward as he crawling as on his stomach until he slowly got up and half-limped to the presence that was at the mouth of the lair. If she had been anyone else, Angier would not have leaned so affectionately into her side, half of his face buried in the graying silver fur across the back of her neck.

He couldn't be sure if she was tense from the storm or if she had been bracing herself for something or otherwise, but he remained there in hopes that he would feel her relax. Surely Morganna's departure had figuratively brought the crown down upon her mother's head once more, but the Archer matriarch should have learnt by now that the stress was just not worth it, not even after all these years. Additionally, they (or most of the pack, anyway) had just finished grieving for Isolde and whatever trouble had seemed to come in Morganna's wake when she had confronted Skoll and other other males in the underground cavern had already possibly gone away. Skoll, it seemed, was not so much of a threat anymore, given their recent, more tender interactions, but even with Nicolo's distance, his and Elettra's little family (which now merely consisted of their younger children Niles and Ravenna) were well taken care of.

"I thought you were gone," he murmured, letting out a sigh. Even though he hadn't been sitting there long, he could definitely feel the storm out here, as if the sheets of rain were mere degrees from muddying the inside of the den. Perhaps if he stuck out his head, his nose and head and ears would get soaked, but he was much too preoccupied to figure out for himself just how bad the storm outside really was. "What're ya doin' up? What's wrong?"

Elettra Archer
It took a few moments longer then it should as she scrambled up, finding his footing and then making his way to her side. There was a silent breath of relief as he came resting at her side, pressing against her and brushing his muzzle through the graying hairs on the back on her neck. The tension in her bones eased, if only for a moment before another shock of thunder shook the lands. "I'd never leave you." She said simply and matter-of-factly. Often or not she would wonder out of the lands for herbs or to speak with the neighbors. Though there was no allied neighbors now and Ravenna had taken up the mantle of collecting herbs. Even if Angier had not been blind and his bones had not ached, Elettra Archer had no reason to leave her mate's side.

When he questioned what she was doing up and what was wrong with her, her head finally turns away from the horrible storm and onto her mate. A very hard, "obviously" look formed over her face, silver eyes boring deep into him. Was what was wrong with her not written across her face? After a moment, she sighs, her frown ever deepened. It was hard for her to accept the fact that Angier could not see her any more, even though it was painful obvious over the white glaze of his eyes. "I'm worried over Morganna in this weather. ....Its a bad one, Angier." As she finishes her sentence, she turns back out to the land beyond the safety and comfort of their pack den. When @Morganna had left, she was already quite pregnant. How far could she have possibly wondered in her condition? How far could she have possibly made it in this weather? Unfortunately for Elettra, her daughter had ran so hard and so fast from her home and her family that she had reached as far north as Relic Lore went. Elettra would never see her again, nor the beautiful children she would have.
