Grizzly Hollow just keep diving down the hole

He had no idea what was happening inside her head, and there was no realistic universe in which Tomen would pry. It was enough that she had calmed down enough to stop screaming. He must have said something right, or maybe he was saying stupid stuff but it was good enough to distract her from her fears. Tomen didn't care if she thought he was foolish if it made her feel better, he could make that sacrifice.

A few long moments passed before he realised that Nineva wasn't going to say anything more. In fact, as he twisted his head to try and see her eyes - but only gently and slowly because he couldn't dare disturb her - it was clear that she had closed them, and with her deeper, more regular breathing, he could deduce why.

Without complaint, Tomen placed his head on her shoulders, not otherwise moving even though her tucked-up-underneath-him position was a little uncomfortable. If she was happier there, then it would do.
