Now that the pups were older and his fatherhood wasn't so shiny new, Gent began to relax a little bit more in the role. He felt comfortable now to leave the territory, so long as @Raela was able to stay behind (both of them being an exceptional distance from the children was still too much for his nerves), and so he was beginning to do so at relative frequency. The pack needed to add to its numbers and skillset, and so he was on the prowl for loners that were in need of a more lucrative arrangement.
This was what brought him down into the Wildcherry Orchard, with its sickening smells and blinding colors. The last time he'd been here, he'd run into @Hecate, and he'd be lying to himself if he tried to say he wasn't hoping he might cross paths with her again. Each time they'd met before, she'd proven to provide quite the interesting conversation. As the man walked amongst the fruit trees, he idly wondered what she'd been up to recently.
A particularly tall tree stood watch over the rest, pulling his gaze with its prominence. The blossoms' perfume was choking his nose, and he so he decided to pursue the vantage point to see if he could spy anyone else twisting amongst the orchard. If no one was to be found, he would gladly move on.
