Pip Mizuno-Sørenson

Pip's ears perked higher on her head at the mention of @Rook. Now that he'd said it, she could indeed pick out the similarity in their scent. That was why it was so familiar then! The little female thought of the esteemed male within the pack. Despite his rank, he struck the mute girl as lonely of late. Maybe he really would enjoy a visit from a sibling! It could give him someone to talk to, at least. Obviously Pip wasn't much for conversation, try as she might to entice him into a game or two whenever he was off on his own for too long.

The Mizuno girl stood only to immediately bow before him in silent request. Her tail remained low, but wagged hopefully. This wolf seemed so kind, surely it wouldn't trouble the pack to have him visit for a while? Of course, now that she was thinking on it, she couldn't exactly call for the pack to come to the boarders and invite him in. They would have to figure that out once they got there, she supposed. If they got there.

Putting on her best wide-eyed impression of a puppy, the small sea wolf hoped she could be as convincing as Oula's and Veho's new litter whenever they wanted something.

The bullet in the blood came from those you trust

The recollection must have hit her, but his lip was suddenly tucked in a frown. Dark shoulders tight, his back rigid. There was reason, there was want to check on Rook after all this time, but the idea felt wrong. It wasn't like Rook had sought him out, or even paid him mind when they had buried their father. He wasn't sure either of them were ready for an intense conversation. Maybe, he was weird but he also wanted to keep the Hollow how he remembered it, not changed.

The gears were turning in her head, and he flinched at her sudden motion. Pale brows furrowed together in harsh lines. He couldn't believe the puppy eyed expression that came from her silver mask, and amber eyes. It could have been irresistible. The way she seemed to think it would be nothing for him to follow her back. Ren didn't feel the same. The air in his lungs felt heavy, and his mouth suddenly dry. He wasn't sure how to break it to her, but he wasn't about to go to the Hollow. He was far from ready, and he didn't want to taint whatever she had going there. Again, there was no reason for him to be welcome. The idea of hurting her spirit lay in the front of his mind. From experience it would be worse to let her believe. "No, I can't. One day, but not now." It occurred to him she couldn't even tell Rook of all this, but it didn't change his mind. Legs lifted, and he leveled his shoulders, ears tipped forward where they belonged. "It was nice meeting you." It was with one final look of warmth before the Lyall trotted away, his only regret not knowing her name.

He wouldn't go. She could see it in his face as soon as he recognized what it was she was asking of him. While she was a little disappointed, it wasn't in a way that would affect how she saw him. The male had been nothing but kind and had in fact been easy to...talk to... He'd filled her silence with appropriate conversation and didn't seem to have any qualms about her lack of speech, though she couldn't tell if he thought her unwilling or incapable of it.

Either way, it hardly mattered. Pip straightened from her bow, tail now laying neutrally between her legs. The small female nodded in understanding and smiled sweetly. It was okay if today wasn't the day. Obviously there was history there she wasn't aware of and she shouldn't have pushed the matter.

That thought in and of itself cheered her. She, in all of her silence, had pushed an issue. As he bid her goodbye and turned to leave, Pip gave a chirp to say goodbye in the only way she could. Her tail resumed its slow wag so that if he may look back, he would see a forgiving, friendly face that wouldn't hold his unwillingness to come along against him. With her business in the field of flowers concluded, the sea wolf began to lope towards home. Even if she couldn't tell @Rook of this visit, perhaps the gray male would scent a familiar face on her pelt. It couldn't hurt to try.
