Lila Aquila
Note:12 weeks old in this post. Anyone is welcome. <3

The den had use to seem huge, but now it was nothing compared to the outside world. There was a lot to see. There was a lot more to do. Why the young lady would have liked some company, at the moment she was happy, wondering down a trail, her dark nose wiggling along the stalks of verdant grass. Since her nose could tell her so much, she liked to put it to use. Perfecting her technique.
Right now she knew Serach had gone this way not too loong ago. She was sure Spieden too. The rest, she kept taking in, not quite finding a face to match the scent that stuck out from the oak, and creek.

Ink colored brows were pushed together in both frustration, and her predicament. Why she didn't know everybody apparently, she had not thought that was the case. Hmm, she lifted her head. Blue eyes, hardly changed, looking back she really wanted to know. But Lil wasn't positive if she should wake Momma to ask.

On second thought she wanted to do this herself, so she began to follow it. The answer couldn't be too far could it?

Hopping on this because I'm greedy <3 Hope it's okay for me to pp her following the momma bear to the cub @Naira found

Aponi had been dreaming. The vivid kind that made you feel like you were really part of what was happening where you would wake up confused unsure if it was a dream or a memory. Silver face twitched occasionally to reveal fangs beneath pink gums before smacking a few times and returning to neutral. She'd been chasing off a bear from the territory, something that wasn't welcome given how many young ones they had to take care of this season. It was going quite well too given she was alone, something that should have tipped her off to her dream state but didn't.

The mother had just been leaping for the bear's throat to make the kill when blue eyes flew open in panic.

The attacks she had been facing had been a dream but the scent was very, very real. Instinctively she looked to her side where Lila had fallen asleep when they had laid down together and to her horror she found the spot empty. The silver woman was out of the den and into the open air in less than a moment and her eyes scanned the area to no avail. Her paws were moving before her nose had the time to properly take her daughter's scent so she had to adjust her course a few times before getting to correctly.

Heart pounding in her chest Aponi let out a sigh of relief as the small black pudge came into her view but the calm was short lived. Half a second after spotting her daughter the woman also saw the lumbering form of an adult bear just a few metres beyond the foliage where her daughter tottled. Dropping to her belly she whined lowly as she crept along, hoping this would be enough to catch Lila's attention. Anything louder might cause the grizzly to turn around and make quick work of the child. Her best bet was to try and get them both away as quickly and quietly as possible before calling the others.

Spieden Coho
Spieden had just come across the musky scent laced with a perfume of berries and old fish. The massive paw-prints she found peppered across the territory left no doubts as to the identity of the heavy beast that left them behind. She heaved a sigh, her silvered brow furrowed over fiery amber eyes in consternation. The Coho woman wasn't unfamiliar with bears, occasionally finding them vying for the same fishing spots as herself. Despite their imposing size and overwhelming strength, she found that left to their own devices they seldom gave her much trouble. The wolves kept to their own, and the bears the same. At least, that was the case most of the time. So it was shocking for her to discover a bear had been brazenly wandering through the domain of her pack. Spieden couldn't imagine what would drive a bear to make such a gamble, but could only assume the animal was mad, perhaps sick or starving. There were pups about! She hated to think what could happen if they came across the wayward ursine.

Wasting no time, Spieden ran after the meandering pawprints, a few false starts before she was truly on the trail. The bear's tracks followed no set route, even leading Spieden past full caches and bushes ripe with berries entirely untouched. This was no starving bear, but if it wasn't hungry, what was it doing here?

Spieden's heart dropped as she caught sight of the hulking brown wall of fur through the trees, Lila standing down the trail behind the bear sow. Her nose twitched, finding Aponi's scent nearby but unable to find the silvery woman upon a quick scan. The bear hadn't yet noticed her arrival, it's massive head swinging two and fro as if searching for something. Spieden didn't care to wait and find out what, lest the bear notice the pup close by.

Spieden stepped forward, her heart racing but a wash of adrenaline pushing her past hesitation. She losed a deep bark at the bear to draw the attention towards herself. The shaggy head turned in her direction, beady eyes fixed on her. Spieden couldn't help but notice the giant paw lifted in mid step, and the five arched claws that sprouted from it like sabres.

Little by little she inched forward, taking in the scent as she went. It was quite strong, nothing like she had ever encountered. It smelled sorta like Mako and Marina did at times. Fish? But, she was pretty sure they were never this smelly. Beyond that the familiarity ended, and she was more puzzled. What was this creature, so close to their den? If only she could see it. Despite raising on her tip toes, she could not. A frown carved her dark muzzle. With every intention to go forward, it was a high tone that stopped her.

Whipping her head around, surprise lit her eyes as she spotted her mother. Far as she could remember Aponi and never made that sound. She had expected one of the other cubs. Dark ears cupped forward. Why was she standing like that? Hiding in the grass. Was she gonna play? "Momma, I find sometin," excitedly she explained, taking those steps in the silver's direction. Eager to know what it was, and if she was about to help.

Then a bark in the distance sounded, and Lila paused, turning enough to see the Coho woman across the way. That was strange. She didn't think Mako or Marina were out here. What did that bark mean? Spieden had to have good reason. Then she noticed the bulky, brown bear. It was even bigger than Reiko's dad, and its paws. Eyes widened, fear beginning to creep on the back of her neck. Slowly she tucked herself to her mother. Unable to stop looking at the bear. What did they do? What did it want?

Every sense that the woman possessed was strained, eyes staring straight ahead at Lila unwavering but nose constantly moving and ears perked for signals the bear had seen them. That was why Spieden's scent wasn't unnoticed though the blue eyes lifted in surprise at the sound of her bark. What was she doing? The mother's heart pounded in her chest as she looked back to her daughter, instinct to protect her child winning over the ingrained notion to protect her alpha. Lila's words had called the sow's attention over to them but the Coho had diverted it again.

The pup was already dashing towards her mother in fear when Aponi leapt forward and grabbed her by the scruff of the neck. Hoisting her off the ground the she wolf turned on a dime and sprinted as fast as possible (which considering the Aquila is the fastest wolf in Relic Lore was pretty quick). Lila was almost too big now to be carried such way but this was an emergency and there was nothing else that Aponi could think to do. After a minute or two the mother put her daughter down and looking directly in the eyes and urged, "Lila run, back to the den. Run there and don't stop, if you see anyone tell them there's a bear but do not stop. I'll meet you there." Nodding once to ensure that the pup knew what she meant the mother licked the crown of her head.

It could have only been five minutes at most but when she burst through the foliage all the blue eyes could see was the blood. From where the bear was between the two women Aponi couldn't tell how much there was or where on Spieden it was coming from but it was enough to keep her adrenaline pumping. Snarling so loud it seemed to reverberate from the trees around them, the creature turned so slowly every heartbeat seemed like a lifetime. Eyes locked and once more the claws extended towards a woman of the Bend. Darting forward Aponi did the only thing she could think of, launching herself from the ground her teeth sunk in and locked on the paw. The silver body flailed as the sow stumbled backwards in pain before detaching and landing hard on the ground.

Spieden Coho
It worked, better than she had expected. The bear fixed its attention on her, as of yet oblivious to the other wolves just behind it.  Her eyes flicked past the bear sow, allowing herself a small sigh of relief as she saw Lila retreating of the bushes. The bear started to grow restless, swaying from paw to paw, clearly aware that something was up. Spieden barked again, taking a few short paces out of reach as she kept one eye on the bear, the other on the grassy patch where she had seen Lila disappear into.

She noticed rustling, soft voices, and unfortunately she was not the only one to notice. The great beast started to turn away from her, the sounds of the mother and daughter pair retreating catching it's attention. Spieden's amber eyes bulged, her lips curling in a snarl. Though she knew Aponi to be fleet on her paws, the child would no doubt slow her mother down and the bear would have no trouble catching them, and even less trouble turning them into ribbons.

Spieden lunged forward with a third bark, more savage this time, as she sank her teeth into the bear's thigh. The roar that followed could have shaken the leaves from the trees, and as soon as Spieden sprang away the grizzly was upon her like a tidal wave. Spieden staggered, the air knocked from her ribcage in one swift sideswipe. She knew how to take a thrashing and crumpled down to the ground, barely missing the second paw that flew over her back.

Spieden's neck arched, her pearly teeth snapping at the shaggy hide that loomed over her, managing to push the bear back just enough to get to her paws. She didn't have time to look, but if she did she might have seen the blood trickling down from the scratches across her ribs and dribbling down her foreleg. She landed a few blows, and took a few in turn, earning bruises and a bloodied shoulder in the process as she tried to put distance between her and the bear. The sow was a stubborn thing, a mountain of fur and flesh that refused to back off. Spieden was a hefty wolf herself, but at less than half the size of the grizzly she was merely just an annoyance.

Heavily panting, Spieden was growing fatigued. She couldn't keep this up, and sensed with growing dread that she might become bear food if this went on much longer. Spieden didn't hear Aponi snarl over the sound of her heart thumping in her ears, and at first couldn't guess why the bear turned away from her. But then she saw the silvery coat.

"Aponi!" Spieden barked, grateful the woman had returned. "Gotta... chase this... fucker off..." She said panting, as she backed away on shaky limbs and blinked away the blood that trailed down her forehead and into her eye... When had that happened? Adrenaline had pulled her through thus far, but now she felt like she'd been run over by a truck and keeping on all four limbs was an ordeal.

Triell Tainn
Triell wanted to be here so bad. I hope having him attending to Marina, Mako,Reiko, and Treyah are okay. Also Aponi's old den being within a reasonable distance of the communal one.

Four sleeping children. If that wasn't an accomplishment he didn't know what was. With all his limbs attached no less. A sigh, he rested his head on his outstretched paws enjoying their quiet slumber. But, he had no mind to nap. Soon as he fell asleep one of them would surely wake.  There was always one, who wanted to try to trick him, sneak out later. He had learned to only sleep when someone else had an eye on them. Hopefully, their mothers would be returning so he could.

Naira's voice suddenly rose in the distance. But, did not pull him from his post. She was beyond his reach, and if there was a bear cub in their mist, its mother had to be about. He had four reasons not to move. Okay, five if he counted his shoulder. It wasn't giving him much grief. Just here or there when he used it too much. He had decided to stay put, and wait. There was Serach,Drift, and Darrah were out there. He couldn't run off and save the world like he use to..

Minutes trickled by, and his body grew tense. But, he continued to convince himself Naira would be all right. She may not be as quick as she once had been, but she was as sly as ever.It was a long wait. Should he do more? Could he? Would they stay here? A harsh bark closer to Aponi's den caught his ear. That didn't sound good. Crawling from the den, he stood upon the rocks, scoping the landscape. Oh shh...!

There was mamma bear, Spieden, and Aponi. At the time he did not know Lila was making her way to her mother. Only, they needed to get her the hell out. Turning back inside the den he nudged @Reiko till he saw his eyes open. "Don't you move from this spot, or let anyone else. There is a bear, and I need to help get it away from here." He waited only a few seconds for his son's understanding, then made his way to the fray.

Rapidly, he loped through the grass, letting a deep snarl build in his throat. Each long, black hair a top his body raised.  Pain began to ignite in his socket, but he kept steadfast. Dropping from the den, he had to carefully choose where he met the party.  Bears were a bit harder to steer than deer, and elk. Eyes, easily found the three figures, and it only took a moment for him to position himself to the bear's side, letting out a growl of protest. She would either take a swipe at him or a step back. Which he couldn't say...

Lila Aquila
If you guys want to skip her a round if need be that's okay.
Lila was not given any answer in the moment. She found her ruff pulled, and the ground beneath her suddenly far. A tiny squeak of surprise was the only sound that left her. If it momma had grabbed her like this any other time she would have wailed! They both knew she was far too big, but right then she didn't care if she carried her like this till they were on the other side of the Bend. Any where away from the beast! But, unfortunately, it was one of the things her mother could not do.

The young Aquila was quickly greeted by the grass again after bobbing about. Blackness hung around the edge of her sight, trying to process all that had happened. The world didn't seem to be what it was. No words popped forth, she was only trying to stand when those icy blue of Aponi's eyes became a guiding light. Her own dark blue hung to them, and she swallowed, swiftly bobbing her head. Hearing her, understanding, even if she felt like she was a million miles away. Without question she held her mother's last kiss tightly to her chest, and ran back to the den as fast as her legs would let her. There she tried to hold back tears, her spindly legs raked with tremors. She wanted to believe her mother would be back any second. More so, she wished she could have helped, or not had found that...that thing.

Let me know if my assumption wasn't correct, Triell on one side, Aponi on the other and Spieden directly in front of it
@Spieden your turn!

Her body hit the ground hard as the bear flung her to the side like a ragdoll, all the air leaving her lungs in a single gust. Gasping to catch her breath Aponi heard Spieden's words but it took a moment before it registered just what she was saying. Realizing she had been on the ground far too long the mother pulled herself upright, teeth barred towards the sow.  How the hell were the pair of them going to get this beast out of the territory when it seemed so determined to just keep going deeper past the borders?

Snarling the Aquila gnashed her teeth, dropping her body weight lower and slinking forward much as they would have done in a hunt. Prey this creature obviously wasn't but the hope was that they could herd it the same way, through fear and intimidation. It moved backwards slowly a step or two before being distracted by a growl on the opposite side. Blue eyes risked a glance between the beefy legs of the bear to see the dark form of Triell poised and ready to push back.

Aponi might not have liked the man but three against one was better odds than two against one and beggars can't be choosers. It stepped backwards to avoid Triell's advance and the silver woman took it as an opportunity to dart forward and sink her teeth into its hind leg. Skirting out of the way just as claws flung in an attempt to make contact the mother noticed with satisfaction that they had managed to move it a yard or so backwards. It was slow work but it was working.
