Lachesis "XIX" Stark
AW, tag for @Jynx because this is long overdue <3

Aside from the minor scaring that had formed on both his cheek and leg there was no evidence that the challenge had occurred. He was still troubled by what had happened and wasn’t quite sure what to do about the dragon. XIX knew he would not stop at one challenge — there would be more. Or, he would leave the pack and form his own. While the latter appealed to the ghost, he worried about where Kjors would set up camp, and how he would feel about the river wolves. It was evident that Lachesis was not fond of the reptilian. He had tried, for both Kisla’s and Karina’s sake, to like the one-eyed male, but he couldn’t. He did not trust the grizzly wolf; nothing would change that.

After a brief visit with the twins in the cool air of the morning Lachesis ventured west, his curiosity getting the best of him. He knew that the alliance between them had dissolved some time ago, but he was still curious as to how the pack was doing. XIX had not heard much from the west since Naia and Kisla returned from their scouting mission, announcing that their alliance had ended. Was their still life in the pack or had it, too, dissolved?

He maneuvered quickly through the fjord, following a trail that dipped toward the water. His pace was quick, persistent, for he did not want to be away from Hearthwood for too long. There were borders to patrol, children to tend to, and a rank to hold onto. However, he did not want to put off visiting the Notch any longer. The sun had begun to fall into its midday position as XIX neared the edge of the water, his nose dipping to touch the cool surface. Once he drank his fill he paused to catch his breath and study his surroundings. The ghost had not been out this way in quite some time — not since snow had covered most of the landscape. A sigh rolled off his tongue at the thought. Soon the snow would return… which meant both he and his children were growing older. And he did not like that.
