Balthazar Asurn
Balthazar inwardly groaned. Somewhere he had taken a wrong turn, and he couldn't even guess at where the hell he was now. Maybe in a different season there would be more to look at, but with everything coated in a deep blanket of snow it was a white wasteland, sparkling coldly in the winter sun. There was nothing around for miles but a few scrubby bushes and rocks half buried. Everything that lived up here was either much too big for him to catch alone, or much too small to be worth the effort. Though they were easy pickings, he absolutely hated the taste of the boney, hairy lemmings.

Finally after trudging who knew how long over this great expanse of nothing in particular, he could see some sort of mount jutting up from the horizon. It was around this time he noticed scents of other wolves criss-crossing the territory, deep furrows worked into the snow from the routes the local wolves like to walk. It made it easier for him, it was much less effort than breaking new trail. So he followed along in one of these paths, trailing in the pawsteps of an unknown wolf. The scent in them was fresh, and his his dark ears pricked upwards. A slow smile worked across the brute's broad face as he broke into a lope to catch up with them.

Zahira Asurn

hope it's okay that I drop Zahira in here

The red woman had perhaps strayed further from Whitestone territory then she should but it seemed that with every growing day more and more of the packs prey vanished into thin air. Honestly, she was starting to think that joining a pack this far into the lowlands had been a fools choice and as an Asurn she did not like to make Foolish choices. Perhaps the only thing that kept her to the pack was stubbornness or the fact that she still had yet to obtain the little piece of information that the dark woman current held.  She needed to talk with @Morganna about it, she needed to learn if there was a better option out there. Or rather if there was a more fitting option for an Asurn our there.

Zahira walked in her own thoughts mind far away from the present, not a trait often observed in the red woman. But with winter closing its tight Iron grip around the lowlands, she was starting to think that perhaps she would make a better choice abandoning the pack, if no change in the current circumstances was made. This storm of thoughts and planning was what keep the woman from realizing she was beeing followed, that some other wolf was catching up with her. So as the dark shape followed in her footsteps she continued down the already cleared path.

Balthazar Asurn
The dark beast paused at the crest of a hill, finally catching sight of a little ruddy form in stark contrast against the pale snowy fields. He lifted his nose, lips parted slightly as he deeply inhaled. A female, then. His tail swished, this would be interesting. Starting off again he loped down the hill, letting momentum carry him a bit faster as he trotted behind her. He had a pretty good view of her backside, and he took a moment to appreciate her assets. She wasn't too bad looking herself. Russet fur, the soft, supple curves of a pack fed wolf, but with enough substance to her form to not be entirely useless. A timberwolf, too, not one of those bulked up overgrown valley wolves that seemed to prowl around here like so many termites under a log.

"Why hello there, gorgeous!" He sang with a grin. Balthazar proudly lifted his head and puffed out his chest out in a need to impress the pretty dame. He came to a stop with his tail swishing. Until she turned around. Then he was stock still, his beady yellow eyes widened with shock. Oh that wasn't... This wasn't what he'd meant to do at all. "Zahira?" He choked, his face twisting as if he had just tasted something foul. "What- What are you doing here?" he sputtered, trying to quickly move on and hope that she hadn't heard him earlier.

Zahira i doing great at first impressions as usually :X also trigger warning for language

Gorgeous? who is the bloody hell did this bloody bastard think he was? Zahira turned around stone cold eyes researching for the owner of set voice only to land on a little familiar agouti face. Her name dropped from his lips surprise and disgust filing his face. But also she looked at the man with similar emotions crossing her face. A man she knew but had not expected to see, and what the living hell where he thinking trying to play mister flirt with her?! She turned to him fully lips pulling back in a faint snarl. And now the damned fool was trying to run? oh what a bloody, cowardly, bastard of a weakling that she even knew him was a disgrace.

With a huff she spoke "what do yeah think you bloody bastard and spare me your bad intentions." she growled marching towards him, no way in hell was she letting him get away. "Now how about you tell me what you are doing out her in the middle of nothing?" she glared at him red eyes stone cold as she tried to figure out what the man was called. sure she seen him before and his name were just on her tongue but what was it.

Name, name, name oh bloody hell she wasn't usually this bad at names so how come this bloody bastard was lost to her? She felt irritation swarm in her thoughts, which apparently was all she needed "What in the bloody hell are you doing here Baltazar?" she said voice neutral yet still caring hints of her irritation as she sent the man yet another glare.

Balthazar Asurn
Balthazar sneered. She was as foul tempered as always. A pretty face, but once she opened her mouth it was all downhill from there. He faced her, tail slightly raised and swishing in agitation. "Wouldn't you like to know?" He drawled, his yellow eyes glinting as he let her hang in suspense for a bit. It seemed she was very good at asking questions without answering anything herself in turn.

"Trying to get out of this hellhole. There isn't shit out here, nothing to eat, barely a tree to sleep under." He spat.

His nose twitched and he leaned in, now close enough to her that he could smell the multitude of scents mingled on her pelt. Other wolves, tundra moss and stone. It was obvious she had found a pack up here and settled down. For what reason, he couldn't understand why. The lowlands looked about as exciting as dried mud.

His upper lip peeled back, an expression somewhere between amusement and disdain. "This, ah, 'middle of nothing' as you so nicely put it, this the best you could do?" He scoffed with his chin lifted. "Hope they're feeding you well at least." He laughed, meaning it as a jab.

Zahira Asurn

She laughed and not in a good wa y"Getting out you say, can't handle the cold Dear Balthazar?" her voice was teasing before she sighed nodding "your right at that, this isn't really that worth much" She watched him for a moment, a pure timber with all that was need. truly Balthazar was a marvels example of what whitestone currently lacked.

"and no my of curse it's not!" she spat tail rising above her back for a minute before sh managed to calm herself down. She could not afford to lose strength now, she had another opponent in mind. "It is but a temporary solution, need some were to wait out winter but apparently my belief that the tundra wouls care of the weak was wrong" she snorted "damn thing seems to attract them like bees to honey, and seems that the leaders are as useless as one would expect from such bloody bastards" she said, perhaps pushing it a bit as the dark leader, Morganna seemed like a respectable wolf despite her bloodline. She felt a smile creep onto her lips as she looked at his eyes turning cold with a deadly excitement "hardly, won't be staying long either just need to take care of a single thing before I leave" she said, "someone needs to learn their place, and I don't intend to play it nicely" she spoke eyes resting on the man.
