Neha had arrived home, walking confidently past her borders with a swirling mixture of emotions boiling in her chest. She was glad to be back where she belonged, of course. The very place in which she had grown up and experienced so many trials and adventures. But now, it seemed somehow different. And it was not just suspicion either. But she had not been able to find much trace of the Cove matriarch and deemed it best to find her another time.
After all, she also had a brother who was surely eagerly awaiting her reappearance, and two younger sisters to meet for the very first time. She would by lying if she didn't admit she wasn't in the least bit excited. In fact, she was thrilled. Her heart fluttered, her nerves buzzed with excitement. Finally she would catch up on much sorely missed quality time and socializing. She wondered how Cernan had grown during her time away. If he had gotten over his insecurities. She yearned to know what her sisters were like, both in looks and personality. Regardless, either way, she would love and protect them like any proper big sister would. It's water clear and still against a backdrop of trees, whose leaves were now fully boasting vibrant shades of reds, oranges and yellows. Her brown eyes lingered on the treeline of the far bank for a moment, before a movement caught her attention. There, mingling and weaving through the trees, quite close to the bank of the lake, were a dozen or so deer. Her brows knitted curiously. They were behaving quite boldly in the midst of pack territory, foraging through the foliage and along the ground for any remaining sources of food. Either they were desperate to stock up, or just plain stupid. Not that Neha cared much. With a stomach full of food from a cache earlier, her hunger would not be stirred today. Instead she was happy enough to sit back and watch with quiet curiosity.
