Lachesis "XIX" Stark
@Gent sorry for the delay on getting this up! <3

After Kjors was banished from Kingsfall it did not take long for Karina and Bennet to follow. At first the ghost had worried that the twins would follow their milk-mother as well, due to their close relationship with her and her daughter. Lachesis did not know what he would have done if they had followed the dragon and company. They were still too young to understand that what Kjors had done proved his disloyalty to the pack. He was only looking out for himself (and Karina); he did not care about family values. Ever since the one-eyed wolf joined the river wolves Lachesis had worried about his security in the pack. And as Maksim’s health declined, his worrying only increased. It did not take long for Kjors to show his true colours; he would explain the situation to the twins once the initial shock wore off. To them, Kjors had always been there — like the weird, grizzly uncle — but that didn’t mean he was there for Hearthwood.

He had hopes the trio vacated the lands neighbouring Kingsfall. Despite Hearthwood being small in size, they were mighty. They would not allow Kjors to get close — even if Karina and Bennet were at his heels.

As the morning sun began to stretch across the Lore XIX headed west, his long legs carrying him quickly over the terrain. Perhaps he was hoping to run into a wolf of the Notch, or maybe he was looking for loners to persuade into joining the river wolves before the arrival of winter. Or, perhaps, the white wolf was looking for some sort of adventure to bite him right on the tip of his nose… Whatever it was, his pace did not slow. He weaved effortlessly through the trees, skirting the water as he continued forward, searching for nothing in particular.

Gent Lieris
gent isn't willing to toss the first stone haha. let me know if you need more to work with, sorry.

he comes, he comes; judge so severe

Gent had not expected to come across a wolf smelling of Kisla and Hearthwood River here in the fjord. As he walked, the scent had snuck up on him slowly, wafted over on a gentle breeze. The kind of wind that would soon be missed as winter unleashed itself upon them. Initially, he thought simply to ignore it, and go about his business regardless of the presence. When it became stronger, the alpha even considered turning back to avoid contact. This, however, was too close to his home to allow such a thing, and so Gent continued on, intent only on what he had set out that morning to do.

As luck would have it, however, this stubborn path did indeed lead him to Lachesis. Gent knew nothing of him; not of his new status among the cut-off pack, the sorrow he held within him not only from Maksim's death but Naia's, not even his relationship to Gent's own friend Karpos. Indeed, there was plenty of River-related news that the blue-eyed beast would desire to know, but could not even think to ask. As far as he assumed, it was all business as usual over in the forest of Kingsfall.

Not necessarily wanting this encounter to occur, Gent thought to merely pass by the other man. A neutral nod of acknowledgement was all that was given as his determined steps brought him near.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
i am worst w/ wait sorry <3 <3 <3 @Gent

The raven wolf was a rare find—it was perhaps the first wolf Lachesis had encountered who had no desire for conversation. It was peculiar, yes, but it was a welcome change. The healer wasn’t even sure if he wanted to engage in conversation, for it was not often he got time by himself. Being a father made it impossible to be in complete solitude—and paired with being in charge, that sought after solitude became almost nonexistent. Some days he was not bothered by the constant responsibilities, but other days he wanted to run from everything and disappear for a day—or several. Determination and loyalty tied him to Hearthwood and encouraged him to fight for it. Despite the wanderlust that tugged on his heart, Lachesis could not allow the pack to crumble while under his reign.

For a moment he was grateful for the inky stranger’s dismissive behaviour and returned the nod of acknowledgement as he passed by. However, the scent that clung to the stranger caught Lachesis’ attention. He wanted to keep going, observing the fjord and searching for medicinal plants, but was he could do that after. Unfortunately, the male’s scent was far more intriguing. “Are you of White Fir Notch?” He asked, curiosity getting the best of him as he paused, his toes curling into the cold dirt.
