Yvly Doramor
Yvly and Veho have called for all members of Grizzly Hollow to attend a pack meeting to talk over wolves that have left in the past couple months, welcome any new members to the pack and ask if anyone wishes to pursue a role within the pack. First round is introductions and will end on December 12.
There will be no posting order. @Veho, @Deacon, @Tomen, @Felix, @Amaryllis, @Pip, @Nineva, @Joan, @Ophelia

She and Veho had discussed having a pack meeting before to make sure every pack member knew what had happened, and what was going to happen. The disappearances of the Bella Coola wolves was not surprising, but that did not lessen the sting of their sudden absence. She was glad Pip was still with them, but at the same time wondered how she had reacted to find them gone and if she was worried about them. Yvly would not blame her for it, but at the very least she hoped the smaller female knew that she had a family with the Hollow wolves. Then there was Deacon, the nice fellow whom she had met a couple days prior. Maybe a little rough around the edges, but with a good heart. He would do well.

Taking in a deep breath to calm her nerves, the Tawny Leader lifted her head back and sent out a call to the rest of the pack. The meeting was far overdue in her mind, and there was much to say, so she hoped that everyone would arrive - and quickly. While she waited for them to arrive, Yvly thought about what roles the members may aim towards. She already knew Deacon wished to become a guardian, and Pip was getting much better at hunting than when she had first arrived, though she had almost no clue as to what Veho's children would like to do once they reached yearling age and became official members of the pack. She supposed she would find out during the meeting, and so stood proudly as the Hollow wolves began to arrive, greeting each of them with a nod and a smile.

Deacon
The young male had only been halfway to the borders for a patrol when the howl had ringed out. Turning around, Deacon quickly ran to his leaders. The call had been made by a newly acquainted voice, one that belonged to Yvly.  It wouldn't take too long to come across the sight.

A gentle nod of his head was given in the direction of the slowly familiarizing face. "Pleasure to see you again." He took a seat towards the front but off to the side a little. Deacon knew he was new so attention may be drawn to him no matter where he picked to sit. No need to solidify that by being front and center. Waiting for other members to fill in the dark man stayed silent. A head full of thoughts but his face would remain blank. He wondered just what was going to be discussed, who he would meet, and how the personalities of the Hollow wolves would mingle.

Pulled away from his thoughts for just a second his head had swung around to see if Nineva had arrived. Like an excited school kid, Deacon was desperately hoping she would pick a spot next to him. It wasn't like he needed her at all times but it was nice to have her around when possible. He also knew better than to raise possible suspicions about their relationship. They were just friends after all.

Amaryllis Azalea
Having just checked the medicine cahce, Amaryllis pricked her ears at the call. Her heart swelled slightly as she recgonised the voice behind the howl. It seemd Yvly was doing well in her role as leader and settling in without much trouble. Swivleing towards the call, she began loping between the trees and swiftly arrived just after a dark coloured young wolf. After casting a curious glance towards him, Amaryllis simply gave him a small nod of greeting and figured he would either be introduced in this meeting or they'd be introduced to each other in time. A new comer at best and hopefully not for long.

Stepping up toward Yvly, she greeted her friend warmly with a lick to her chin before moving away and settling off a few feet to Yvly's left, curling het tail around her feet as she wondered what this meeting was for exactly. This was the first one she remembered the pack having an official meeting since her joining and hoped nothing too bad had happened. She also wondered just how many wolves would show up, as many scents had faded over time while others stayed as strong as ever. Her eyes were drawn back to the newcomer, still curious as to who he was. He looked not much older then Tomen, Pip and Ninvea so it was nice to see another young wolf in their midst. .

Pip Mizuno-Sørenson

Had she woken that morning and anyone been able to explain what had happened, she still would not have believed them. Even after hours of searching, running the territory back and forth, up and down, backwards and sideways, under logs and rocks, in grottos and at the riversides, she still had found no trace of her siblings. They hadn't even said goodbye.

They hadn't even said goodbye!

And it was that betrayal which hurt the most.

Pip knew they had wanted to move on. They had made it abundantly clear; especially @Blitz with their last argument. Well, as much of an argument as a mute wolf could have with another, but her brother had known she was upset with him. With him and @Niq'x, there had never been a misunderstanding in communication. But even knowing could not have prepared her for waking up to simply find them gone. Why had they not spoken with her? No final 'I love yous' or 'Take care' or even just a 'See you later.' There was just...nothing.

She was at the edge of the territory, lamenting and cursing the fact that she had no voice to howl for them. To scream and snarl at them for abandoning her without a word.

Instead, another howl sounded off. @Yvly, Pip recognized. At a crossroads, she hesitated. Race off to find the family that had been there since the moment she took her first breath or stay with the one she'd become part of?

Though the decision was a painful one, Pip found it an easy one to make. Her paws headed back towards the center of Grizzly Hollow territory.

As she came upon the gathering wolves, the mute female gave no friendly wag of her tail in greeting, nor happy licks upon the chins of her packmates as per usual. Instead, she lay at the edge of the gathering, chin resting solemnly between her paws and watched them interact. She was too heart sick to pretend all was well, and while later she would chide herself for not greeting their newest member, she didn't have it in her in this moment.

Tomen Attaya-Lyall
The absence of the sea wolves had been noticed by more than just their abandoned sister. It had hardly been a secret that this was no permanent residence for them, for the family had clearly belonged by the water rather than in the depths of a forest. Pip was the only one who appeared to adjust with any enthusiasm, and indeed it was the loss of her that he would have lamented the most. He had liked all of them, to a degree, but Pip was... well, she was the best. It wasn't bad to admit that inside his own head, was it? With how close-knit the group had been, he'd just assumed that when they left Grizzly Hollow, they'd all leave.

Seems he'd been wrong. Like so many wolves before, they left silently and without warning... and left Pip behind.

It hadn't been hard to deduce. He'd seen her rush around in search of something, and it didn't take much to put two and two together. Having nothing better to do with his day, and feeling bad for her, Tomen had spent the entire time also with his nose to the ground looking for clues. Yvly's abrupt summon distracted from his search and for a moment he scowled, resentful of the interruption. But then reason kicked in; they didn't know he was looking for Pip's family, and maybe it was important. It was good to get everybody together, anyway. Putting aside his childish reaction, Tomen straightened out his shoulders and turned his paws towards the heart of the territory, feeling a dull, sad ache in his chest for Pip's loss, and that he had failed to help her.

He spotted the mute girl ahead of him, and even from behind her body language said it all. A soft whine escaped his throat in sympathy as he trotted forward to catch up, barely acknowledging Yvly, Amaryllis and that newcomer, Deacon, in his need to comfort Pip. Lowering his nose to graze along the top of her head, he whispered just for her: "I'm sorry. I couldn't find them either."

Then the boy sat next to his friend, knowing almost exactly how alone she felt, and turned his attention to Yvly, dipping his head in the required display of respect, for she was the new lead female of the month. Because apparently there was a curse upon the female ranks which compelled them to leave once they gained authority. His mother, Jynx, Oula. Shame. He kinda liked Yvly.

Nineva Hervok

so lying underneath these stormy skies

Nineva followed suit with the rest of the group, abandoning whatever current task she had been undertaking to meet with the rest at the heart of the territory. The shift in leadership had not at all affected her. Oula had been admired, but Nineva was learning that in this pack, only Veho and Tomen were constants that could be relied upon to remain. While she would miss the company of those who left, she would not lament their departure. Especially those who left without so much as a goodbye.

This included the Bella Coola siblings. That they left Pip in the dark made their desertion even more unforgivable. Had it been one of them gone, Nineva would've extended the benefit of the doubt, concerned that perhaps something--an injury, a wrong turn, anything--was keeping them away from the Hollow. In that case, she would've join whatever searching had been done. As it was, with the whole of them vanished at once, the choice they had made was clear, and Nineva would not take from the pack to give them a second chance they didn't deserve.

Arriving, her mismatched eyes swept over those already gathered. The abandoned mute looked miserable still, with Tomen at her side and seemingly attempting to comfort her. Time would heal the wound, Nineva knew. She remembered the months she had spent searching after Kenelm, how badly it had hurt that he was gone. Things were so much different now. Catching Deacon's eye, she chuffed at him, trotting to his side and settling in.

He was late!

(Late, late, for a very important date!)

If he were a wolf prone to curse words, he would have cussed a blue streak as he hustled – Yvly had even told him she had intended such a meeting, he’d heard her summons and thought to himself ‘I have a moment to finish putting these herbs in place’.  Except that ‘moment’ clearly became several, and had Felix not happened by his father’s rump sticking out of the medical den on his way to the center of the pack lands, he might still be trying to put things in their place.

He should have known organization would never come quickly for him.

As Felix took his place near Tomen and Nineva, the alpha quickly scuttled to his co-leader’s side.  It took a great force of will not to flatten his ears and slink with his tail between his legs; none of this was a good show of faith.  Instead, he nudged Yvly’s cheek and jaw, offering a small whine for her ears only before setting next to her and turning to regard the rest of the gathered pack.  “My apologies for holding you all up,” he murmured quietly, bowing his head.  “Please continue, Yvly.”

This was her show, after all.  He was not here to steal the woman’s limelight.

HRK.  I am the slowest.  x __ x;;  I will be more on top of this from now on!  Also, Felix is now HERE -- I will post this round if I can, otherwise, this PP makes him deffo here.

Apologies for the delay :x The second round will end on January 22.

Deacon was the first to arrive and she watched silently as he took a seat off to the side as if not to draw too much attention to himself. Her attention swiftly shifted as Lily appeared and greeted her more warmly than the Tawny Leader had expected - but she was pleased to see her friend nonetheless. A content hum left her maw as she nibbled gently at Lily's muzzle in response before returning her attention to the next member that had situated themselves at the edge of the gathering. Yvly could tell something was up with Pip from her lack of lively greetings to everyone but sat where she was, simply gazing at the younger female with soft eyes. She knew why Pip was acting as such, and as much as it pained her not to be able to comfort her friend at that moment she had more urgent matters to attend to.

Tomen was next to arrive and she was happy to see him try and comfort Pip, though it seemed Nineva did not feel the need to also do that as she headed straight for Deacon and settled beside him. It was not long before Felix arrived - and Veho right behind him. A silent exhale of relief left Yvly at seeing her co-leader appear by her side. She responded in turn with a soft chuff at his apologetic greeting to let him know it was alright before turning to the gathered wolves before them. This would be her first time truly doing her role as leader of a pack and she did not want to disappoint Veho by doing an inadequate job, even though in the back of her mind she knew she would do fine.

"Thank you all for coming so quickly," the Tawny Leader began, sweeping her dark amber gaze over each wolf, noticing that Joan and Ophelia had yet to arrive. "As you may have noticed we have a new member within our ranks - Deacon," she glanced at him with a small smile, "I know that you will all do your best to help him feel at home here." Yvly turned her head to briefly look at Veho to gauge his reaction to her words and maybe get a little assurance from him. So far she had managed to not stumble over her words but anything could happen. "But it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing to those that have not already realized it that the Bella Coola wolves are no longer with us. They disappeared with no mention of leaving or goodbyes, and we can only assume they have returned to their home." Her gaze shifted to Pip as she spoke, knowing that it would be the hardest on her.

"As this pack meeting is long overdue it is high time that some of you work towards getting an official role. If any of you have any ideas about what you would like to do please speak up now." Her gaze drifted to Deacon as she knew he would like to become a guardian, and she glanced momentarily at Lily who was already training to be a medic under Veho. If it had not been such a tragic time for Pip she would have voiced that the smaller female was doing well with her hunting skills and may one day be bestowed with the official role, but she kept quiet about it for the moment.

Ophelia Macieo

She was late. Truthfully, she'd ignored the call as she was often apt. She'd been busy, and her project was more important than answering @Yvly's call in that moment. At least Ophelia had something to show for it. The pale princess was practically giddy with success. Between her jaws hung a snowshoe hare. A dumb one, she thought with satisfaction. It hadn't even seen her coming until the last moment. The squeak it made was so exciting, she crunched on it now just recalling it.

Her paws beat tracks through the dusting of snow on the ground, moving quickly now so that she may show off her prize faster rather than dragging her paws as she usually would. The pup arrived just as Yvly finished her remarks. All Ophelia could hear was 'speak up now.' So of course, she did.

Tossing the carcass at her brother, she laughed as it flopped from on top of his head to the ground at his paws. "Look what I caught!" incredibly pleased with her skills and expecting high accolades for her work. Ophelia made no apologies for being late, instead expecting all to understand without explanation. Obviously, hunting came above boring meetings. Not that she would say that out loud in front of Daddy. Pale green eyes fell to him and she beamed, tail waving and curling proudly over her back, though not high in a way to be considered a challenge of rank. "You should'a seen it, Daddy!"
