Atropos seemed to calm down quickly, her breaths steadying against her brother's opposite flank. But he still felt cold, little heart racing. It wasn't right for them to be apart. A mother's caress went a long way to soothe the boy, a contend noise leaving him as he buried into silvery fur. Soon he too would begin to drift, the nights shenanigans fading from young, still forming, memory. It would only be yet another in a muddle of childhood incidents bringing the mismatched family together. Into the wee hours though, Kyrios would worm his way back to the black smudge that was his little sister, nuzzling close and instantly feeling more calm.
