Asha Maren

Wandering was becoming Ash's favorite thing to do. Of course, that would be supposing that she actually had a favorite thing, which would be, in turn, assuming that she had emotions. Of course, she did not. That had been trained out of her long ago, when she was taught by her mother that emotions were weakness, and then more naturally by watching the life drain out of the eyes of the wolves that she killed.

She had no right to feel emotions. Even if they weren't weakness.

Especially if they weren't weaknesses.

The young woman walked through the barren dogwoods, shards of ice hanging from the empty branches and reaching toward the ground. It was still muggy out, still absolutely frigid, but Ash didn't really mind that very much. The night air hung lightly around her, and the sounds of the river nearby were muffled by the winter. It was altogether too peaceful for her liking. She needed some type of noise; some type of distraction to keep her from being lost in her memories.

Her needs were met by the soft fluttering of wings, and a gentle hoo, hoo, of an owl that landed in one of the tree branches above her head. The silver being lifted her muzzle to look at the feathered creature, outlined in moonlight. Her frosted eyes narrowed and the end of her tail twitched in what might have been a wag. "Hello," she greeted in her usual quiet, monotonous tone. "Come to keep me company?"

hope its okay for me to drop Zahira in here

How long had it been since Zahira had seen another wolf? She had been on her won ever since getting out of the highlands that laid in front the lowlands and had been avoiding pack territories, trying to figure out what the hell she were doing. She proved to be weak to be unable to defeat a single, bloody bastard of a mutt. But even if time would fade the memories of the fight the wounds and scars he left would be a constant reminder of her weakness.  She was an Asurn, sporting scars from won battles were one thing but these reminders of her failure plagued her. She was a full bread pure blooded timber wolf, an Asurn of the finest lines, and yet both her older brother and herself had managed to place shame on their name.

Sighing she looked around, the dogwood trees stood tall and barren around her the frigid weather had caused ice to grow from the branches like snake fangs. The darkness engulfed the peaceful forest and it seemed that the chilly night had shooed all life away. Hardly would she complain.

An Owls hooting not too far from her and the sound of a voice. Making her way though the snow and around a large snow covered bush she found a silvery wolf standing talking to the feathered creature "Perhaps it has, Perhaps not. You newer know with birds one season their here the next they are gone" she sad keeping her distance from the other female. A small smile forming on her lips, could she possibly be? yes perhaps she was, she certainly looked the part did she not? "Forgive my intrusion but you did ask for company did you not?" She asked with a smile, yes she have to be she just have to be a full timber wolf
