Somethin' bad about to happen

She was rewarded with a smile, and his name. All about details she logged them all away in case she'd have need of them later. She wasn't sure about sticking around, but might remain here for some time.

Another bite, she tried not to stare as he came closer. Instead she prominently chewed, swallowed, and cocked her head to the side, easily he told her a little more about himself. Seeming a little embarrassed about the fact he hadn't stuck it out alone very long. She didn't feel it was anything to be ashamed for. She wished to do the same, yet she didn't want to be tied down already. "I don't blame you for taking the opportunity. Life alone is a bit rough for anybody." She'd always had a warm place to rest her head, and had hardly gone hungry. Now she had something else, freedom.

Distinct gold eyes couldn't help watch as he grabbed the hare, seeming to leave the rest for her. She felt a moment of conflict. It was swiftly put to end. He could only carry so much, and his pack too far to successfully return with all of it.

As the gentleman he seemed to be he directed her to return to the safety of the trees, warning of mountain lions. She didn't need to get in a tangle with them. Once had been enough. But, she suppressed her memories, and made sure to keep face.

"I'll probably do just that," she offered a warmer smile, and half beat of her tail. Truthfully, she was a little disappointed that his pack probably had no want nor room for the likes of her. So didn't ask, but let him take his leave. "You too," she managed to say before watching him shrink in the distance. Without an audience she ate the rest more quickly before taking off on her own again.
