About the 25th-ish of Feb. For @Ravenna
Hunting dem 1/3

He knew that he was a patient, that he should be resting, but the boy was damned if he wasn't going to make himself useful while he was here. Adjusting to a single eye had been a painful process, both physically and mentally but he finally felt himself compensating for the loss of depth perception. He wasn't running into nearly so many trees, nor was he missing nearly so many meals. He would survive this. He knew he could.

His other reason for being out and about was to avoid the Rye girl and her companion (whom he could only assume was the one that interupted him in the thunder bowl. Neither of them seemed to have cottoned onto it in the short time he had been there, but he didn't want to court disaster by giving them a chance to connect the dots. He couldn't know she had no memory of that night, or that he had been clear enough that her companion only knew him by a thunderous growl and a silhouette in the dark.

If only there wasn't so much snow about he could busy himself with gathering herbs for his aunt rather than trying to run down rabbits. He had eyes on their warren now, bold fat bunnies sitting out in the open just waiting to be pounced on, but he wouldn't move yet. He still wasn't close enough.

Ravenna Archer-Lyall
Hunting dem 1/3

Ravenna's return into the Southern Eden after her trip to the north had been rather eventful. Already she had ran into a pair of wolves around the Draw, one of which was a large, feverish man which had caught her attention and time while on a hunt for the newly spouting herbs coming back to the Lore. The next day she had been out with a purpose, looking for something that might aid the little girl from the north which had come to her doorstep along with a man named @Bojack. Ravenna, along with the help of @Kerberos had found a fungus in order to help the little girl with her headaches and memory problems. It did not go to say she was not aware that her youngest nephew had come to the lands, injured as well and send down here by his mother. Ravenna had not expected the youth to go so far without a member of his pack, though had been far too happy for his visit despite the ill circumstances to question it.

Now at the moment, Ravenna had not one, but two patients within the pack lands she was tending to, as well as she would soon be starting offering lessons to Kerberos and in return would gain some kind of trade. She had not spoke yet to @Enoki or @Renier, though with how much the Draw wolves and themselves had been interacting, wondered if offering to become allied packs would be something to think about. Despite the fact that Ravenna had ran into so many of their members, had not exactly met the leaders themselves. Oh, and breeding season was too headed their way, which would certainly stir up the air within all of Relic Lore.

At the moment, Ravenna's focus was placed on her sister's child. She had been following his trail, having tended to the little girl, had been determined to focus her attention on him. He was family, after all, and she had spent so little time with him. She had not seen him since he was a puppy and had been playing in the ferns with her mother. Coming in slowly and low to the ground, the scent of prey brings her into hunting mode. She slinks into the scene opposite side of Odin, awaiting his move. If he struck forward and was successful, the remaining would scatter into her direction. If he did not catch one, she would still do her best to make the attempt a success.

He had been slowly inching closer, trying to appear disinterested in the rabbits. If they froze, he would turn away, seemingly focusing his attention on something further away. The warmth of the sun must have been extra appealing today, or maybe he was just looking terribly non-threatening. It was when he spotted the silver fur of his aunt that he decided he was close enough. He wouldn't have to catch one himself with her situated where she was, but he wanted to. Aiming for the nearest rabbit his sudden movement was enough to send the rest of them darting towards Ravenna. His own target had other things in mind.

It swerved, away from the safety of the warren and into the trees. It had to have a bolt hole nearby the way it moved with such confidence. The boy propelled himself after the little beasty, using his tail as a rudder whenever the critter tried to shake him off with a sudden change of direction. The distance was closing between them whenever they managed a straight, then the rabbit would pull away with a turn. Odin was going to have to push himself harder if he wanted to clamp his jaws across the bunnies still snowy spine, and he saw his chance.

That auto hunting opportunity is spot on. Hunting dem 2/3

When Odin caught sight of his sister he found the best moment to strike, sending the group of rabbits into both Ravenna's direction and the direction of their burrow which lie in-between. One of the rabbits veered off, sending Odin off back into the spare forestry of the Drooping Willows. Ravenna remained here, her focus on the other rabbits which were set off in a panic the moment they realized another wolf was here. Ravenna lunged forward, jaws reaching out towards the collection of bunnies to snap at one before it had the chance to reach the den. Two jumped into the burrow, just barely making it and the third's ankle got sliced by Ravenna's teeth, sending it in a panic as its path towards safety was now blocked. It too darted towards the forest now into the same direction as the one that Odin was after. Already injured, Ravenna began moving in on her prey quickly. She could hear Odin's pounding paws as they ran through the forest, as both his rabbit and her own seemed to be fighting to reach the same bolt hole as their escape route.

He almost had it, it was barely a nose length away. He could dive and hope for the best, if he didn't it would reach the bolt hole. So he threw himself forward, jaws parted to snap at the rabbit, teeth closing around its mid-section with a satisfying crunch as his body rolled and skidded, coming to rest across the entrance of the hole. His tail gave a happy thump once then twice, pleased with his efforts when he heard it finally, the scampering of prey and the heavy thudding of paws in pursuit. His bright eye spotted his aunt, dropping his own prize and staring down the injured one with paws splayed wide and parted jaws. If he stood up now it would have access to an escape right between his paws and he wasn't about to let that happen.

He would leave the satisfaction of finally capturing the prey to his aunt, unless it continued to run for his gaping jaws, but surely even a brainless rabbit had more sense than that. A low growl was sent forth to urge it back, a fiendish click of his teeth to further emphasise that this was not the way the bunny wanted to run.

Ravenna could hear the sound of the rabbit's beating, frantic heart, smell the fear within her. It probably was sent into more of a panic at the cry of one of it's brethren dying just before its eyes and the realization that its escape route was no longer an option. The moment the rabbit slowed at the sight of the other wolf, and the split second of hesitation it gave before deciding which way to turn, was enough time for Ravenna to catch and kill her prize. As the hare jumped up into the air with a spring in order to dart to the side away from Odin's jaws, Ravenna snatched it into her own. Teeth snapped down hard onto the neck and shoulders of the rabbit, falling it limp to quickly it probably didn't even have a chance to feel the pain. The satisfaction on the woman's face was obvious, her tail waving rapidly behind her. She set down the kill and without so much as offering herself a moment to pant and catch her breath, she was upon Odin, right in his damn face as she sniffed around his eye (or lack there of) for inspection. It was obvious why he was here because of his injured eye, though after looking over his face, Ravenna had to dance around her nephew, poking and prodding and sniffing in order to make sure everything was in place. When finished, she roughly rubbed the length of her body against him. "I've missed you soooo much." She speaks, perhaps a little overly affectionate and emotional due to the approach of the breeding season.

The one-eyed boy watched with satisfaction as Ravenna's jaws closed around the neck of the hare, a resounding crunch clear indication that together they had worked well. He hadn't expected her to be so quickly up in his face and so he leaned back a little, lop-sided smirk gracing his lips as she went to prod the rest of him and run along his side in familiar greeting. "I musta passed you somewhere in those bloody trees," he responded with a short roll of laughter, hoisting himself up from his place across the rabbit hole so that she could see that besides his missing eye and a few bumps and bruises he was in perfect health.

But something had been plaguing him since he first arrived in the Willows, "Hey, I meant to ask, what's the Rye kid doing here?" He couldn't know that she had lost all her memories, that as he sat here reveling in the high that came after a sucessful hunt that wolves both from the Rye pack and his own mother were keeping a watchful eye out for any sign of the girl. Judging by the nasty gash on her head though he supposed it wouldn't be much of a leap to assume that she didn't recognise his scent. "I've sniffed her up on the lowlands before... just assumed she belonged to them." He finished with a shrug. He was just a kid, he still had a lot to learn and he knew it.

"Yeah, this one seemed to be going for the same hole. Others got inside though." Ravenna mentioned on behalf of the rabbits they had hunted. Soon they could bring them both home, surely making a good meal for someone within the ranks if not themselves. At the moment, Ravenna was far too interested in her sister's kid to go about eating.

"A Rye wolf?" Her ears perked up with much interest to her dark nephew's words, rounding about to face him once more. "Wild Rye Fields?" She spoke to confirm the pack name and his meaning. She had heard of them, ether through Morganna or Renier, or both, she did not recall. Although he was not sure if the girl belonged to that pack or not, having her scent being noticed a lot within that area and her being a youth may very well suggest that she was one of their own, as Odin had said. "I will have to speak to Jack and the leaders on this soon when I go to treat her again. She got pretty bad off in the head, can't remember anything." She frowns delicately to the thought, though was happy Odin had been smart enough to speak up this information. If @Bojack was ever going to help the girl find her way back home, heading back up north once she was feeling a bit better would be the first start and perhaps the end to their little mystery. However, Ravenna would be left to wonder then if BoJack had any intention of returning to Willow Ridge or would stay with the girl? She expected the later. Though Jack had been spending some time trailing the borders, she more or less thought of him as a temporary stay, which was fine to Ravenna so long as he pulled his own weight while he was here. Odin already seemed to be going good at that.
