Dragonfly Fen someone in the crowd

@Niles @Castel @Larkspur @Kino hi ya'll! this was the thread we had discussed. Dated for 3/4. Please respond in a timely manner. Some background: they will have recently come either over the mountains or through the underground sea. They are assembling here for a meeting.
Evening, south western part of Dragonfly Fen by the lake (-83.55972, 68.20313)

Sahalie could feel the hormones inside of her raging to a crescendo but she had to ignore them. They needed a home. It had been a few days since the girl had last seen most of her group, and now that they had at last crossed the mountains it was about time they all catch up with each other. Sahalie did not enjoy exploring on her own so much, but it felt smarter to spread themselves out as they looked for a home—though inwardly she had to admit this was also borne out of a desire to keep her distance from Larkspur, Alastor, and Niles now that her scent was becoming stronger and she was feeling her infinite patience eroding. They had finally made it to the southern part of the Vale and, as she made her way out of the foothills and into the higher elevation above Dragonfly Fen, she felt herself smiling at the dark, comfortable forests that spread out below her. It had only been a few months since she had last seen them but she missed the blue mists of Spectral Woods so much that it ached.

The temperatures that had spiked a few days ago were descending once more, and the snow had slowly returned and was once more accumulating at her ankles. The icy blanket made it so hard to find a place to settle: it concealed everything in white sameness and feeling any particular attachment to one piece of woods or the next was difficult. But the snows would melt soon, perhaps, and the trees would begin to bud again and they would find their home. Until then, they would keep looking. Sahalie called for them. They would assemble under the clear night sky and discuss the days ahead of them.

If I ever leave I could learn to miss you

They’d finally managed to cross the mountain range. While they were a decently scattered ground they’d typically give check-up howls every hour or so just to make sure everyone was making it okay. He’d been rather unwilling to let Hal travel alone but he’d learned rather quickly to give her plenty of space. Even her, who was kind and patient with them most of the time, had snipped at him and given him a growl a few times when he’d gotten close for longer than she’d like. He’d backed off with a gentle whine, head lowered and ears tucked to show apology. Since then he’d settled for trailing along, every so often picked up his pace to keep her form in view then falling back to allow her to feel more secluded.

Darkness shrouded them when he heard his friend’s call flow into the air. He picked up his pace, her dark pelt sticking out starkly against the pale snow. He gave her a chuff and allowed a grin to slip onto his maw. They were getting closer to their destination and his mood was lifting because of it. He sat next to her with a foot or so between, both for her sake and for his.

For the past few days, Larkspur had been nowhere to be found. He hadn't bothered telling Alastor or Sahalie or Castel that he'd traveled to the other side of the mountain. He had enjoyed his time alone (mostly alone, anyways), but felt the warm fuziness that came when returning home from a long trip. Home didn't have a particular spot just yet, but it would, probably sooner rather than later. He saw Sahalie first, her dark fur making her stand out in the cool blue of the snow. Alastor second, who he brushed against in greeting before sitting down in his favorite spot: between the two lovebirds.

Suddenly hit with the exhaustion of his short excursion, Larkspur plopped himself on the ground and stretched.  "Have we found a place yet?" he looked up at Sahalie, but then glanced towards Kino. "Or is Miss Picky not happy anywhere?" he almost brought up heading north towards Oak Tree Bend, but figured that might be a waste of breath. He settled for chewing on himself instead. Lark paused his chewing for a moment, "We could just settle down right here," he looked back to the dark girl, "In the end where we are doesn't matter so much," he knew that wasn't true, but he was getting anxious to finally have a home. An actual, tangible home.
