Kingsfall bad case of the zoomies

Despite the equinox, the winter's chill still nipped at Astrid's nose and the cold snow stung her paws. But the equinox brought with it the promise of lengthening days, and springtime to come. That itself was something worth celebrating. After months of cold and dark, Astrid was ready to say goodbye to the winter. And she was particularly ready for spring after the great heaps of snow she woke up to that morning. But the fresh snowfall still it couldn't dampen her spirits. 

Long nimble limbs dancing through the snow drifts, Astrid came to an ancient forest. Her dark eyes cast up at the canopy as she stared in awe at the sequoias. The great timbers were so tall that their tops were obscured by the heavy veil of morning mist. She had never seen anything quite like it before. This was a fine place to spend the equinox indeed.

Astrid skipped and jumped, kicking up snow and spinning as she ran. She dashed blindly around trees, over rocks and streams, under bushes, looking like a little golden blur over the snowy ground. She ran until her lungs ached and her limbs grew tired, the girl losing momentum and finally coming to a stop at the end of her mad dash. Astrid collapsed on the ground, rolling onto her back and laughing as she wriggled in the snow.

She regretted coming out here and she was ready to turn around. All of this snow was god awful. It put her in a miserable mood. She wanted to be back in the den being showered in love from Wraith and curling up for a nap with Morganna. She'd likely even take that awful Mittani's company over being out in this weather. Actually...Piety took that back. She would be in this weather every day if it meant that wretched man would disappear from the Monadnock. It wasn't like he did anything good for them. If anything his presence had been the very moment Whitestone Monadnock had started to face hardship. Him and his band of gypsies that hoarded Craw.

Piety was so lost in thought that she almost missed the rolling wolf a few feet from her. Her brows raised as she eyed the stranger cautiously. "Excuse me?" She called out and almost instantly regretted it. If @Wraith knew that she was out talking to strangers in the middle of nowhere he'd surely had a caribou if not a whole herd. Yet now that she had already said something it seemed a bit rude to just run off like a teenage prankster. "Are you alright miss?" The pale Santoro asked politely with obvious concern for the other's state.
