<3 sliiiight PP of the travel, hope that's okay?

Rihael was now far too large to weave in and out of Marsh's legs as they made their way out of Swift River's territory. Where just months before the pack's second had towered over him, Hael was now nearing adult size, though his mind— and specifically, his attention span— was still in kid mode. So now he strode quickly, his tattered boar hide scrap dangling from his mouth as he tried to keep just a few steps ahead of Marsh. Even the fact that he still needed a chaperone wasn't enough to dampen his spirits on this cloudy afternoon, as today they were actually, legitimately, really going outside of Swift River's borders! Yeah, how often did Fen and Kisla get to do this, huh?

"C'mon, let'sh go fashter before my mom catchesh ush," He whined, though he knew what they were doing was perfectly acceptable. After all, he was a big kid now, wasn't he? He could hunt for himself, right? Well, maybe not boar yet, but he at least could catch bugs and stuff and even a rabbit (with aunt Borlla's help) by himself! So why did he have to stay in the pack boundaries all the time, huh?

Soon they had arrived at what Hael assumed was their destination, or if it wasn't, he didn't want to go anywhere else. Before his very eyes sprawled an expanse of tall, yellowing grass and pale blue water, emerald reeds and moss still flourishing naturally despite the shift in seasons. As the wolves arrived, their presence startled some nearby water birds, ones he'd never even seen before— they took off, flapping their huge wings, their long necks outstretched as they took to the sky. The kid's orange eyes were wide with amazement, his thick tail a blur behind him. "Marsh, what ish this playshe?!"

Trisden Lyall
/super late. Let's finally get this show on the road 8D And yeah, the PP is fine! <3

The step required to cross Grizzly Hollow territory had taken momentous emotional effort. Images flashed through her mind of black wolves with evil messages, of curses on the wind and malicious intent hovering like poisonous miasmas just outside of the safe haven dictated by her mother's scent. Jaysyek Enap-Lyall's protective grace could not save her out there. Evil had sought to trespass on her mother's haven and had been shunned, and it would have been the easy thing to simply hide behind that wall for the rest of her life - but no matter how much evil tried to break her, it would not break her that much.

Trisden was not about to roll over and let fear control her any more.

She had shivered with bodily trepidation as that line had been crossed, but, having half-expected the world's malevolent forces to come crashing down on her the moment she was vulnerable, it was a relieving anti-climax. Nothing happened, and for a moment, the girl stood there, stunned by the lack of disaster.

It gave her much-needed strength, and the second step she took was with a hardened expression and an emboldened heart.

She had no idea where she was going, but that didn't matter; she had told Hocus of her intent (and not to look for her if she was not back by sunset, and simply assume the worst had taken her) and all she needed to know was that she was to face her fears. The advice was infuriatingly vague, but she presumed that was the point; her faith and resolve needed to be tested. How could she prove that she was destined not to fall on an evil path - or for greater things, even - if she did not demonstrate her worthiness? Trisden and Trisden alone could overcome what was haunting her. It was no use hiding behind barriers of purity any more.

She had no idea how long the journey had been by the time the sudden flurry of birds startled her, but she did know it had been rather... lacklustre so far. Was this a part of the test? Or did she just have to keep searching? Ears back, she gazed up at the water birds as they elegantly soared away, and only then did she wonder what had made them take flight. Certainly not her; she had only seen them after they had taken to the air. Curious - and a hint of trepidation easing in, for she had been spoilt with relative boredom so far (the fun of exploring aside) - Trisden eased forwards, only to be presented with a rather beautiful sight of yellows and greens. A forest wolf, Trisden had never seen anything quite like it. Awed, but wary, she took a cautious step towards the nearest body of water, and lowered her head to it. Her reflection was nothing new, though she felt like a gamut of freshness inside. It felt so good to be taking action again! All this fear and moping really wasn't productive at all.

Though thirsty, she did not drink - it could all be a devil's ploy, this prettiness - and instead glanced up at the open space, looking for any indication as to why the birds had flown off in such a hurry. It did not take her long to alight upon two figures, and instantly suspicion brewed beneath her otherwise calm exterior. Were these innocents, or a part of the plan? Well, there was only one way to find out - stepping lightly a little to the right, she hopped clean over the narrow stretch of water in front to the other bank, and then began to stroll along the water's edge as if she had not seen the two strangers. Always she kept alert, however; she was prepared, now, for the devil's messengers' tricks, and would not so easily be caught off guard.

Booo I'm so sorry. I so so want this to continue. ._.

"Check it out!" Hael yelled, shooting a final grin at Marsh before bolting away from him, into this wild land. He had so many questions! What was this place called?! What kinds of things lived here— were there fish in this water? It was definitely sort of a weird color, but there was only one way to find out. And to Rihael, there wasn't any exploring unless it was full-out exploring. With a running leap, Hael went flying, limbs tucked midair into a sort of canine cannonball, and he came splashing down with a huge grin.

When he resurfaced, he basked in the glory of the disturbance he'd created, as even more birds were still fleeing for their lives, their cries echoing in the otherwise silent afternoon. The sun through the clouds in patches, and he stayed put in one, still beaming back at Marsh at the shore. "That was a big one! Right, Marsh?" he yelled, of course referring to the magnitude of his own splash. Not caring whether or not he got an answer, he decided to turn around and swim farther to see if he could encounter any fish, or better yet, a frog. Using his legs to pivot himself, the floating Hael head in the water did a 180, submerging itself momentarily before bursting from the surface again, flipping water in an arc above it. And that was when he saw her.

His smile was frozen on his face, though his eyes gained a wild look of awe. Not so far away was— no way!— another kid! He stared for a moment, wondering how she couldn't have seen him with all the noise he was making, and then craned his neck back at Marsh to see if he could see what she was seeing. It was another kid like him! The last time this had happened, Fen had been there to claim him. But now he was older, and besides, this one was a girl! Like Kisla, except from far away she didn't really look like Kisla... anyway, he wasted no time in paddling furiously over to her, and as soon as the pond bed became shallow enough, his oversize paws took hold and he bounded out of the water with a sloppy grin. "Hey!" he shouted her way, wondering if she'd stop, wondering what her reaction would be. "Hey you, uh, girl! Hi!" Well, he didn't know what else to call her!
