RE: Flash flooding has caused local landslides.
For @Ryker -- backdated for 5/19, mid-morning.

The visit with Mathuin had been a nice distraction, but Felix still needed to visit Flair before he headed back to the cedar forests of his home. After all, she’d been the only friend he’d made in his entire first year of his life, and what kind of friend would he be if he didn’t try to keep up with her? The yearling could only hope the redhead was still somewhere near the pricker bushes and the back that lived somewhere in that area. Otherwise? He was probably out of luck.

Positive thoughts!

Right, he had to keep thinking positively. Felix hummed softly to himself as he continued to pad along through the fir trees – he could smell a pack nearby here, though it wasn’t anything he’d smelled before. And that was fine. He would simply give them a wide berth; his father hadn’t sent him scouting, and he had no idea what kind of wolves these were. He vastly preferred meeting others one on one than running into an entire, cohesive group.

Only stopping long enough for a drink at the pooling springs, the young wolf moved again, climbing up the wet banks. It was a bit similar to the sands he’d explored with Iyes, threatening to move, but not quite. Similar enough to allow Felix to think he had it handled, anyways, until the loose soil finally gave way to gravity and a large mass of earth went sliding back towards the springs. The yearling only had time for one startled yelp and a flail of limbs before he went sliding backwards with the earth, too.

“Help!”
