Maybe I've been the problem, maybe I'm the one to blame.
But even when I turn it off and blame myself the outcome feels the same.
The night was oddly warm. Whether because his winter coat was thick, and he had some meat on his bones or if it was merely a warm, winter night the dark cloaked fellow could not decide. None the less it was a good time to give into his wanderlust, and stray from the familiar borders of Swift River. A speed to his stride he made good time through the open fields, and ran the rest of the way to Luna Hill. The rush put a wide grin on his face, and his tail waved high behind him in his freedom. The moon was but a sliver, the stars taking the spotlight tonight, but his topaz eyes adjusted to the night setting, and he ran for the simple joy of moving.
The rounded hill loomed, growing large the closer he became. He studied it, his target, looking almost to spot anyone else out and about. It looked lonely in the night, and he climbed up it with his tongue tasting the clear air. When he rose above the fields he took a moment to look out to the indigo sky, and plains almost trying to will someone to show up from the shadows. It was a silly thought, and he chuckled taking a seat upon the untramped snow.
He had only come here twice meeting two females with gray coats, and blue eyes. One he had never seen again, while the second caused something else within him he had never known.Quiet thoughts, and his breaths in rapid, rough beats he stared at the clear skies trying to sort out his problems. What was he to do with his life?
