Secret Falls In these woods, between these trees

Reyes snorted softly, but there was no edge on his expression.  Once his mate had fallen into line, the older wolf began to move in the direction he’d intended (before his ridiculous partner had gone splashing into a very deep pool) – it didn’t take long to determine where the walls had been hollowed behind falling water and where they hadn’t.  The caves weren’t particularly deep nor interconnected, but they offered plenty of shelter from wind and water (and the coming snows).
 
Once he’d shooed Askan inside and they hunkered down, Reyes curled around the younger wolf and began to groom him vigorously – just like when they first met.  Time had a funny way of working like that.
