Kaala Shadowmoon
Kala was happy to have finally found a pack. She had just looked around the pack camp. Now she headed back to the river bank. She wanted some time to think about everything that had happened to her. She walked to the water's edge and layed on her belly. She stared into the rushing water before her. Kala thought about all the wolves she had already meant. They all seemed pretty nice so far. Kala thought about Corinna, one of the pack leaders. There was something intimidating about the she-wolf. Kala made a mental note that she would need to be cautious around Corinna.

Kala remembered entering the wildwood for the first time two days earlier. It had been such a strange and unfamiliar place. She had smelled wolf scents everywhere, and had almost been overwhelmed. Kala liked the wildwood. She thought it had a peaceful feeling about it. She decided she would go back to the wildwood later.

Kala thought about her mother. She looked up at the azure sky and gazed at it for a few long moments. Her mother would be proud of her. She would be proud that Kala had grown up and found a home for herself. A wave of sadness came over Kala as she thought about how much she missed her mother. She wished her mother was still alive. She wanted to show off her new family. She felt tears start to well up in her amber eyes and quickly blinked them away. She couldn't let herself cry now. She didn't want to show any weakness to any wolf that may be nearby.

Why do they think I never change, they're the ones that stay the same.

With great caution his thick, black limbs pulled him through the fast running water. He was in hope of catching something, and was mindful not to get in the deep parts of the river. He was partially wait, he didn't want to get any further already the cold numbing his toes. He continued, coming to just where he wanted to be. Thin, young willows drooped against the banks giving a temporary hiding spot to his prey. A smirk shifting along his dark muzzle he tried to take his time getting there, but this movement still made gulping splashes. Ignoring it his bright eyes focused on the thin slivers of sparkling fish scales. His pink tongue licked his snout in anticipation, and once he was under the branches he stopped. The fish already already swirled along his legs, dashing this way and that. He stood in long wait knowing they would come back.

Eventually they did, drawn back to the shadows. He was patient waiting for the right moment, and quick as lighting his jaws angled lashing into the cold depths his teeth snagging flesh. Snorting water from his nose he was just as fast to pull his snout upward, a medium fish wiggling for it's life. He dug his fangs deeper, walking away from the trees, and back into the more open water. Eventually the flips of the tail, and head of his prey were faint until he only felt the flutter of his gills. The father he walked up river, it's heart beat no more.

His meal in his jaws he was in a fairly good mood with intentions to return to his own burrow. Something caught his attention, better someone he had not met. A young female newly added to the ranks of Swift River. His brows creased his yellow-orange eyes drifted along the banks wondering how close she was, or if it was merely the breeze rushing her scent to him. Once he started looking, continuing his walk he spotted her resting along the banks. He took a moment to stare, evaluate who she was. He did not know, and he let out a snort of his bemusement. She was obviously apart of this place now, but there was a part of him it bothered to see her lounging about.

Be nice. It was a thought, and he steadily pulled himself from the river. He did not look at her when he did so, he let his eyes fall to the grove giving a rough shake of his coat. He was younger he would have been thrilled at the prospect of meeting a new friend, and so he wasn't sure why this bothered him. They needed more wolves in Swift River. A clearing of his throat, he took a deep breath padding her way. He did not lose grip on his fish, until he was but a wolf length from her. He took a moment to drop it between his limbs making it clear it was his. "Hey, you must be new." He said, giving a feeble wag of his tail while stating the obvious. Well he was trying to be nice. Try being the key word.

Yela Whitetree
Yela walked through the trees. Never being here before the feeling was great. She felt like she could run forever or more. She wasn't wasting time looking around and took the chance here to look for food. Sniffing around trees and other spots she finally food a scent she could track. being a rather good runner and tracker she hoped what ever she found was big. Yela continued at a walk geting the feeling of the new area. "Powerful like father," she thought.

Yela stopped to groom a knotted piece of her fur. Pulling at it she thought, "I really need to clean my self up." Sitting down she attacked her fur unknottiing it and laying it flat. This lasted for about 30 minutes, and when she was done she was extremely sore. Getting back up she continued her hunt for food. Gathering her thoughts she stalked a rabbit, and thought about how to approach it. "Should I run at it, ambush it?" she asked herself continuing the list. Finally, making sure she was down wind, she started her approach. She had decided to run at it. Then there was bushes moving and the rabbit went sprinting away. Yela grumbled and got up, to sit, from her hunter's crouch, and looked around.

Yela glanced around hoping to see where the rabbit had fled. Standing up she padded away disappointed that she couldn't find it. Yela left the safety of the trees to walk a long a river bank. Crouching she took a drink from the river careful not to stray to far, she didn't know how deep it was. Staring across it she wondered what was over there. Yela shrugged and padded down the bank. She came around a slight bend and was not paying attention to where she was going.

Yela looked up to see two wolves standing not far from where she was. She panicked and looked for some where to hide. When she couldn't find one she took in a deep breath. What made it worse was that they where from a pack. Lowering her head and tail she waited for them to notice her. Looking at them she noticed one seemed very close to the river. She watched and listened to the male which she guessed that he had not noticed her approach. "They must be from the same pack," she quoted to herself, using info from what the male had said. She stood silently behind him waiting to see if he noticed or not.
