For @Piety Inspired by this picture Back dating it a couple of days. <3

Lenae had never been the sort to come up with cunning schemes-after all she was anything but conniving-but even she had to admit that this plan was the cleverest thing she'd ever thought of. It wasn't as though she was being mischievous, or that she was doing this because she expected something in return. She was simply being nice for the sake of it, because there could never be too many smiles in this world.

And if Piety happened to smile at her because of something she had done... well honestly she got a little giddy just thinking about it. She, try as she might, could barely contain her excitement as she bounded up the goats track, gently holding the gift for Piety between her jaws.

Once she had reached the stone peak, Lenae ever so gently laid her gift down on the ground before her and let out a soft woof.

Oh she hoped Piety was about. She was a busy woman, had borders to tend to, caches to fill and a son to look after so it wasn't her fault if she wasn't about. But Lenae couldn't stand to hide her gift away and wait for her return, if she as in fact busy. What if they witted? She could hardly given them to Piety then, it would be an affront! What sort of wolf gave another wilted, dead flowers? A scoundrel, or fiend who was just playing a cruel trick.

That wasn't Leane, or at least that wasn't who she wanted to be. This was supposed to be a good thing, something to make both of them smile, but the more she thought about it the scarier the situation became. What if @Wraith didn't like appreciate the fact that she was giving his mate such an obvious token of affection? What if he thought she was stepping on his toes?

Again, she would never even dream of that, she adored Wraith almost as much as Piety. He'd been the one to first offer her a place here, he'd given her a chance when another man would have shrugged her off as a lost cause. He cared when he didn't have to. He was a good man, she could see that now. So surely he would be okay with this, right?

Piety Santoro

Piety was not prepared for the short summons for her from an all too familiar voice. Her tail waved behind her with ease as she turned around and moved towards the call. If someone had told her what she was walking into she likely would have chuckled, told them that Everly was still too timid to be making such bold displays but maybe she was wrong. Perhaps the precious flower girl had made more progress than Piety had fully seen. So when she walked onto the scene she merely moved forward to brush her nose against Everly and make sure the girl was alright. Once the little greeting was over the mother took a few steps back and spotted the flowers.

"Everly," She smiled softly as her tail kept an easy beat behind her. "Those are beautiful. Where did you find them?" The pale leader asked as her gaze settled on the tawny female's face. Perhaps around the bottom of the Monadnock or out in the lowlands. It was hard for Piety to simply stop and appreciate things when she had a son to chase after (who was likely out sticking his nose somewhere it shouldn't be but heavens above if she hadn't been that way at his age), a husband to love and lead with, and subordinates to make sure were all well and taken care of. For what good were wolves if they weren't well?

She wondered if the timid girl had a general knowledge of plants. Healer-y things. So far Cyril had not received any injuries but with @Odin back she figured there would soon be tussling if there wasn't already. Which had a fair chance to result in some kind of injury given both of the boys' natures and one of their sizes.

If it had been anyone else, Lenae would have no doubt flinched away from the touch. But this was Piety and  so there was nothing but kindness and a motherly affection to it. There were likely many wolves in this world who would hurt her if they got the chance, but the wolves of the Monadnock were not amongst them. Nor was the Queen of Stone.

Ever since they had first met, the Monadnock alphas had gone out of their way to show her that the world was not as dark as she feared, they supported her, gave her courage when all hope seemed lost. It felt a little one sided really, that no matter what she did she would never be able to repay them.

Ah well, it didn't matter now. Not when she was graced with such pleasant company.

Leane's tail swished from side to side as she nodded along eagerly. They were beautiful, weren't they! Their petals so soft but their yellow centre so vibrant and bright like the midday sun. That's why they reminded Leane of her, not just because they were both white but because these flowers were not only pretty but hardy too!

Surviving in the tundra had to be tough, the soil was littered with stones and lacked the right nutrients for most plants to grow. That's why there were so few trees out in the Lowlands. But despite all that, these daisies soldiered on, thrived even. She'd found so many out there, like bright beacons, and because she wanted them to survive she had only taken a few, inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

Piety and these flowers were one of the same, cut from the same cloth. Beautiful but strong.

"Not so far from here, maybe half a day by foot? And that's only if you walk. Amble, really."Leane on the other hand had run like her life depended on it. She'd gotten back here in a flash.

Nudging them closer with her nose, she offered Piety a shy-if not adorable- smile.

"Soon as I saw them I thought of you...And thought you'd like them. Maybe"
