Arcturus Nox
OOC: set 14/9

Autumn was moving swiftly forward and the days were starting to get cooler. Arcturus didn't mind Autumn. It was a riot of colours, brisk mornings and bright days. This season did mean the end of easy(er) days though. Winter was tough, and he would probably have to stop his exploring in the next month or so.

There was something freeing about this wandering malarkey though. Sure, he still had grief in his heart and ghosts that walked along side him, but the inhabitants of this place had been through some terrible things and fought to move forward, so he would too.

As Arty had wandered on his travels, he had seen some pretty stunning scenery. This place was no exception. Mountains rose up to the west, light wisps of cloud clinging to the upper reaches. To the east thundered running water of a nearby waterfall. Before him stood a few colossal red cedar trees, already some of their leaves turning a riotous shade of red. Many lay fallen to the ground though, and Arty wondered what natural disaster could have felled so many. Between the fallen trees grew shorter trees taking advantage of the sunlight, and little streams bubbled haphazardly along. The sun, though not overly strong, still managed to warm up his dark fur as he wandered along.

With a little hop, Arty got on top of one of the smaller trees that lay fallen and began to wander along it. Some of the trees lay atop one another with roots reaching up to the sky. His yellow eyes were bright as he scanned the vicinity, but he did not really look directly underfoot, and that there was Arty's downfall.

As he was picking his was across a gap between two trees, he completely misjudged the distance. His right paw reached out, found nothing for purchase and Arty found himself scrambling to get back onto the original tree. But it was too late. Momentum had taken him past the point of no return, and off he tumbled.

Splash- well, kinda, plus a little bit of a splat.

While he hadn't landed on anything particularly worrisome, he had just landed in some rather muddy water. As he gingerly got to his feet, he realised a good portion on the right side of his body was covered in mud.

"Ah... fuck."
