For @Marianna u sweet bear dog || Night, edge of the Fen and the Copse, Cloudly, 58°F, 14°C

She'd been meaning to head out this way. Abaddon didn't really have much of a clue if the search for her friend (were they friends? She didn't actually know but nonetheless the girl had been ok in Abba's books) would prove fruitful but she'd rather look and know than not look and never know.

The female moved about when she pleased, not constricting herself to travel in the light or solely in the dark. Nights like tonight though she was cloaked in the darkness of the strange territory. The foliage was still thick as summer was slowly weaning itself away into fall. The moon above wasn't bright enough to shine down upon the lands and what light could get through was fickle. With clouds above the forest canopy, it'd be a wonder if someone saw her before they smelt or heard her. Although with how this area seemed too eerie she doubted her chance of running into other wolves was high right now.

Something broke her thoughts in the distance. It didn't sound heavy enough to be the creature she was looking for, though. Maybe it was a rat or rabbit trying to hide from her looming form. Probably smart on their end because she wouldn't say no to a late night snack.

Rabbit. Rat. Hah! If only Marianna Leigh could read thoughts – Abbadon’s just then would have been simply hilarious.

But that she had no such telepathic powers was probably for the best, because the large woman certainly did not possess a poker face, and very likely would not apply her powers for anything even remotely good.

She was, as it were, happy to see the large, black female she’d met several weeks prior, on her way to find her brother and Quaking Vale. Wandering paws had sent her outside the territory now – a dangerous thing for Ari, given her general inability to navigate her way even out of the pack’s own communal sleeping den – but a bored wolf was rarely a well-behaved one. And things in the forest were hardly what she expected, anyways.

So Abbadon was a welcome change, indeed.

“Hiya!” Ari barked, romping over fallen timbers as she loped easily to the other female. “Long time, no see, yo!” But she wasn’t complaining. Have the time she never saw the wolves she met again – and what about Gent, or Finch? Her bushy tail waved eagerly behind her. “Whatcha doin’ all the way out here, huh? Come to settle down in the forest?”

The voice caught her off guard but as the large wolf came into view a smile threatened to break the female's ebony face. Before she could give out a greeting of her own the tawny wolf was asking a few questions. Abaddon let a laugh roll freely into the space between them. "I'm actually settled up on the mountain now. A fancy little place named Aurora Heights." Her tail gave a few small waves before she sniffed at the bear dog. She smelled of others and Abba had to wonder if she had found what she was looking for. That Albatross fella or whatever his name had been. But that wasn't really what she was looking for right now. "Was actually partially hoping you might still be in the area." She admitted as venom yellow eyes rolled over the area. Strange place for two large creatures to be fumbling about.

Her gaze settled back on the silver eyes of Ari. She still couldn't get over that name, really. It seemed so dainty and almost princess like - not at all the words she would use for the gal in front of her. Then again, it wasn't like parents knew what their children would grow up to be. Did her mother and father think she would grow into the female she was today? Maybe they would, given their own personalities but who knew. Certainly not her.

"What're you doing out here though, huh? Little late isn't it?" She verbally prodded back with a sly grin. It was night and this place seemed so cramped, wouldn't Ari have picked somewhere better to be romping about? Not that Abba was really complaining mentioning that she got to see an friend again.
