Well, that was easy. At least all he had to do was get her back to the makeshift den he and Askan had picked out, and they would wait out the storm. Didn’t have to worry about an angry mama coming to find them later. Figuring out of he needed to bring her back (or not) could wait until the rain and the deafening thunder had ended. He wasn’t in an arid region anymore, but the storms still brought deep concern to the loner. Didn’t help him think some.
