Aegir Sørenson
RE:Spring showers have come early, resulting in heavy downpours throughout parts of Relic Lore. A soggy Aegir has stumbled into CAD looking for shelter! All draw wolves welcome!
Trust your heart if the seas catch fire
Aegir Sørenson

Aegir didn't mind the rain. He wasn't a baby anymore, he could deal with and in fact enjoyed a little bit of water. He liked swimming and catching fish with his Ma, that was a lot of fun. Especially when- if he was a good boy and did as he was told- he got a yummy fish at the end as a reward.  But this? He didn't like this at all.

A little bit of rain was one thing, he could handle some drizzle or an afternoon shower with ease. Hell, he might even have a some fun prancing around in the puddles once it was over. But when it was hurtling from the sky, like tiny bullets, just calling it rain didn't seem accurate. Within mere seconds of being out in the open, Aegir had gotten drenched to the bone. And rather than stand about like a numpty,  Aegir did the only thing that he could. He looked for shelter.

Stumbling through the downpour, Aegir paid little attention to where he was going. He couldn't see all that much with the rain pelting at his eyes, nor could he smell anything other than mud and the damp of his coat. His ears were plastered to his forehead and his tail curled between his legs as he hurried along, oh how he wished he hadn't ventured from his Ma's side. He loved to explore, to continue his adventure . But as of there and then there was nothing he wanted more than to be warm and dry, curled up between his Ma and Da as they waited for the bad weather to pass.

You would think the Little Dragon would have learnt not to venture from his parents by now. But of course he hadn't, every event up till that moment had merely been a hurdle in his path. One he had overcome because he was a dragon! A very wet and cold dragon, but one nonetheless.

If he had been paying attention-or had been able to see- he would have noticed the strange black trunks of the trees in these woods. He would have noticed the lingering scent of a well marked and maintained border. But he didn't, nor could he, so he hurried on, unknowingly entering the domain of the Draw wolves.

Suka Tainn
Maybe it's just yourself that you're fighting
Suka Tainn

Suka liked the rain, he liked the rain a lot. He loved the way it washed away scent trails and covered his tracks in the mud until his siblings couldn't possibly find him and harass him in the ways that siblings would. So when he woke to a rumbling sky, a wide smile had made it's way to his face as he stretched, offering @Lana little more than a smirk before taking his leave from the warm, sheltered den. Treyah was already out there somewhere, so there was no reason for him to be mindful of the direction he took. Either @Kerberos and @Maera were already busy doing what leaders did, or they were still tucked in tightly with @Lacey. Either boded well for him.

It was a perfect day for scheming without having to worry about @Cannon bumbling it up.

He had also noticed, that rain bought all manner of creepy and slimy things up in the mud. Worms squelched in the mud between his toes, and it was while he was distracted by the sight of their tails (or were they heads? It was so hard to tell when they didn't have eyes) wriggling freely in the air that a dark shape seemed to move off to his side. For a moment he thought his brother had been brave enough to follow for once, but then, that stranger didn't smell like his brother at all. His brows drew down, lips pulled in a frown as he tried to muster an imposing growl. "Oi! Who'reyou an' what are you doing here?" The worms were still wriggling between his toes, trapped under the weight he was putting on the mud with his stiffened stance.

He was sure he hadn't crossed the borders yet.

Aegir Sørenson
some swearing, potty-mouth pup
Trust your heart if the seas catch fire
Aegir Sørenson

"Shit shit shit shit!"

Aegir didn't exactly know what that meant, as he'd only ever heard his Da say it when he was mad, or something went wrong. But considering how wet and miserable he was, it seemed like a pretty apt word to use. It was rather unfortunate that the Little Dragon had taken to mimicking his Father's potty mouth, but it wasn't exactly surprising either. He had a mute as a Mother, and for the first few months of his life the only wolf he'd ever heard speak was his Da. So it made sense he spoke like him, swears and all.

Aegir was so muddled by the rain he didn't even notice that he had company until they called out to him, their voice just as mean and demanding as that stupid splodgy wolf he'd met just a few weeks ago. What was it with wolves his age? Why were they all so angry?

Aegir didn't want to stop, to stand out in the open so that the rain could continue to hammer down on him, so he didn't. He hurried along, shoulders hunched as he called out to them. His tone just as sharp and snappy as theirs had been.

"Lookin' for shelta, duh! M'cold and wet...n'I don't like it."He'd meant to sound more fierce, stern like his Da, but he really was in a poor state. The sooner he found somewhere warm and dry, the better.

He paused in his steps,as an occurred to him. He could play nice, if that resulted in getting what he wanted. It wasn't usually his thing, for sure, he tended to stomp his paws and demand to be satisfied. But in this instance a softer approach seemed smarter. And if that didn't work, then maybe he'd cry. No one could resist him and his dragon tears.

"You know a place?"

Triell Tainn

The Tainn did not usually mind the rain. At this time he did not care for the damp, and the cold. It made his shoulder stiff, and now and again it would make an awful cracking sound. Oddly enough when it did that it didn't hurt. It did grate his nerves as he hobbled along. He really wanted to find a warm spot in the den and have a decent nap. Damn it, he was old.

When the father came across the scent of Suka he knew better than to leave the boy to his own devices. He'd already shirked too much responsibility. It was with a shake of his head, and tired grin he followed. For now keeping his distance.

Thankfully, when he heard shouting @Suka was not far ahead. He forced himself to pick up the pace, obviously worried, but whoever owned the other voice sounded rather young. Suddenly, less panicked, he stalled, totally eavesdropping.

The best he could discern there was a little fellow looking to get out of the rain. Where were his parents? Well, it wouldn't be the first time they'd offer shelter to a pup.  They could always figure out where he came from when the weather let up. Hopefully, he had someone wondering where he went.

Why he really wanted to see how Suka would handle this, he didn't want to stand in the cold any longer either. He made a point to let his paws squish in the mud, alerting them they weren't alone.

"One or two, right Suka?" Triell eyed his son, not scornfully, but there was something to it. Despite the ilk he took place beside him as his gaze softened on the loner boy.

Suka Tainn
The things we left unsaid are only taking space up in our heads
Suka Tainn

The stranger still didn't mention who he was but that he was cold and wet, well the boy supposed Lana didn't like it either. Before he could dig back and ask the other pup if he was a girl a dark shadow emerged from the trees and he knew he was busted. His dad took care of his own introductions for him, the boy heaving a sigh in response, "Yeah I was about to get to that," but he forced a sickly sweet smile before continuing, "It's a bit far, and it's cramped and it stinks like my brother and sister. They're so fat they take up so much space, but it's dry."

He expected that would be enough to please his father as he motioned with his head that the younger wolf should follow him. There was no point trying to sneak out now his dad was onto him, he wouldn't make it half way to the borders before he was chased back in again. The boy wasn't much of a conversationalist so he allowed the silence to hang between them until it began to get awkward, even for him, "So-uh, you from round here? Where're your parents?" He hadn't yet figured out that parents could be a sensitive topic for some, even with his own mother missing.

Aegir-at that point anyway-wasn't feeling very fussy. He would have accepted more or less any offer that was handed to him, but when the dark man appeared through the sheets of rain Aegir knew that he was going to be well cared for. That a big like him wouldn't let little Aegir, so small and soggy, stay out in the cold.

And it seemed that he was right, the pup went onto describe the den and oh how did it sound heavenly to his ears. Even if his brother and sister were fatties.

"Um, they're about." Probably, they tended to follow him around when he wandered off on his adventures. No doubt they'd lost his scent in the rain, or sought out shelter. Maybe both."Got separated, was lookin' for em. It's jus' us, we wander."

And that lifestyle suited them just fine, or at least it did until it really started pouring it down like it was that day. Stupid sky and its water, wasn't enough a enough? It was already pooling on the ground like a miniature lake, why did the Mother keep sending more? He'd have to ask his Da later, but for now he maintained his sad little facade. Which wasn't a proper one, now that he thought about it. He was cold and wet after all, he was just...laying it on real thick.

"S'it okay to stay, just a little while?"

The father was both amused, and slightly exasperated by his youngest son.  Though even if his description was obviously uninviting, it was better than none. "Oh Suka, and what would they say of you?" He murmured with a teasing tone, but held back grabbing at his son's ear in the company of another.

With his mind at ease, he kept pace with the boys, ready to return to the warmth of the den.  Where he hoped @Lana, @Cannon and Lacey had remained. As they moved his look quickly darted to their new company, thoroughly surprised Suka decided to speak again. Though forlorn the boy didn't seem worried about his parents. It seemed they all had each other and went where they pleased. Right now he merely wanted shelter. He couldn't blame him for that. In fact he would have extended it to his mother and father. Even if it wasn't like they'd get anything in turn.

He gave a light -hearted chuckle, nodding his head."Of course you can. We don't mind sharing now and again.  " It wasn't like he was taking anything away from them. As the mouth of their rock shelter came in sight, he let out a deep woof alerting the rest of the Draw wolves they had company. They would probably be far more inviting.

Hmm, sounded like Treyah when his parents left the Bend and Suka supposed he could be ok with that, not that he'd tell this guy, so he offered a shrug instead. "Do I look like a leader? But I got no problems with it." Besides, his dad was right there, he was sure that he could deal with any complaints and the other grown ups would be fine. His father followed up confirming all that he had silently thought and his tail waved to betray that he was maybe just a little glad that it was ok. But now, ugh they were here. "Don't say I didn't warn ya."

Aegir never wanted to settle down. Pack like was not for him, nor his fellow dragons but...He supposed it had it's perks, a warm and dry den being one of them. But that's why Aegir was so clever, you see. Why have one of his own when he could borrow one instead? These wolves didn't seem to mind at all, if anything they were more than willing to welcome him into the fold. Even if only for a while.

"Got it. I'll breathe in if I gotta. Maybe nudge em away with my legs."

Speaking of legs, his were getting mighty tired. He'd ran so much today, through the rain and mud it was no surprise they were all tired and wobbly. He was still a growing boy, it was important that he had a bit of rest every now and then. It felt more than a little odd following two strangers through the grey, but with their playful banter it almost reminded him of Da and Kyri. How they talked when they walked side by side. Da was far more wise and regal than this guy but... they almost resembled one another. Almost, sorta, if he squinted? And the kid? He was kinda goldy like Kyri? Again, Aeigr had to squint to see it.

"Thanks fer this, really." He was using them yes, but a little bit of gratitude wouldn't go amiss. Even he knew that."We almost ther?"
