look what you made me do

Summit tried to limit his time off the mountain. But, he couldn't help himself. The Heights were now familiar, but the rest of the land below? Uncharted territory. He didn't like being ignorant. It was like that saying, leave no stone unturned. Maybe, he could find a stone river. Where the noisy mindless beasts ran with great lights. When better to see it than dark?

After an evening patrol, with the setting sun he decided for this one night he could venture further. The time his. Besides, there was a long nights moon out, and he wasn't going to waste it.

Descending the mountain with inches of snow made things a little difficult. The snow wasn't quite deep enough to cushion the mountains sharp edges, and he had to go slow. Sometimes on the trail of others. At the halfway mark he found his path and easily surpassed hidden rocks that could trip or wound. It was at his last step he paused, hauling in a long breath, letting the cold air dive deep into his lungs. Wide awake, eyes cast heavenward to see the white orb a glow, and much larger than usual. He didn't know why but he found comfort in it. The clear sky and freezing temps might hinder others, but not him. He was built for the cold. He rushed forward, racing the moon to the quiet meadow.

Ravenna Archer-Lyall

With the moon full and bright in the open, clear night sky, Ravenna Lyall danced in her lighting. With her pale, silver and gray hairs and her equally silvery eyes, she was a glow under the moon's light, even further more as the lands blanketed in a thin layer of snow. As a little girl, Ravenna had loved the snow, yet the beauty of it she learned quickly came with a price and a very hefty one at that. For now however, she enjoyed it for however long that she could, running past the borders of her home and to the west further as she often did. Though she loved her brother, she did not mingle too far east to the mountains, not after what happened last time. Not after having fallen from them before ether. She was a forest girl at heart and always would be.

Here in the meadows, the land was open and vast. Not that the Willows were suffocating. They weren't anything as dense as the Cedar forest and no where near the Thicket of Secrets and yet in the meadows, there was nothing in her way as she sped through them, chasing the same mother moon as Summiter. It did not take long before their paths came together and she could see that wolf out there running. She paused, altering her track if only to make sure it was the wolf she had seen before, running back from her cousin as he called for the help of his pack.

Out here, Summiter had no one he could call for and Ravenna had every intention of both giving him a little scare and run for his money after what had happened last time. Would he run for her brother's pack again or would he choose to stand off on his own? She rushed forward again, heading directly for the man's heals. Her tail was level with her spine, her ears back, though her hairs did not bristle, her display lacked any true aggression. She more or less just wanted to mess with him, though did not know if he would take to it or not. ””

I'm assuming she bumps him? If that's not what was going down let me know xD We're both down for a "friendly" spar.

If she believed him a coward she was wrong. His own swift stride muffled his ears to hers, but he only needed the surprising touch to know someone was after him. He wasn't going to tuck tail and run without knowing what or who.

Summit was was never one to make the same mistake twice. He figured last time he was wounded because he hadn't been prepared for the ass his uncle was. This time he wasn't about to expect a rather large, cuddly bunny behind him.

A disapproving bark he dug his paws against the powdery snow. With haste he turned to face his attacker. Fangs out, hackles raised, as a growl working its way from the inside out. He figured it was the whiner ready to take a piece of him.

Surprise! It wasn't! It was a wolf who looked like she'd been bathed in the moonlight even under the light of the sun.

A little to his surprise the lady lacked a similar display. Like hell, would he drop his defensive stance But, where was her body guard? He didn't scent him. Could she handle it? The question might just be evident in his deep, blue-ice stare. He knew whatever happened here there was no recourse. It was just the fae with stark, silver eyes and him. He liked to think he was ready for what she really wanted to dish out.

He turned quick to face her, his defenses strong, ready for a fight. Ravenna had no intention of a serious all out war, not without reason and most certainly not with a member of a pack she had planned to ally with. Still, she couldn't help the devious smirk that spread across her features and her tail remained low sweeping back and forth between her legs with a certain excitement. Her head, otherwise having been high with an act of dominance, now lowered to level with her spine, her ears falling back against her crown protectively. She was ready.

She begins to arc around him, as though searching for a good place to attack, any weak spot in his defensive display she could find. It was hard to use her weight against him when they were just about the same size already do she was left with practiced skill alone. She sprints forward, offering a mock attack as though to strike for his foreleg, hoping he might reach down for retaliation, to which then she would lift up with true purpose, aiming for him muzzle.

The young leader was not going to back down. Not that it surprised him. She didn't seem one to run from a challenge, and he'd like to think he wasn't either. How violent would this dance get?

Being unfamiliar with her he couldn't think of any specific advantages he might have. Something that made his teeth tighten as his father would have scolded him over it. He wasn't here, and she was charging.

Trying to keep his feet planted, it seemed she was going for a leg. A good strategy. He couldn't stand well if she got it. Maybe, just staying out of her hold would be his best defense. Attempting to side step out of her reach, he keeps his chin tucked, and teeth bared, ready to nip at her neck in turn.

As Ravenna reached up, moving from her leg to his muzzle, the other wolf side steps, causing her to strike along the front of his chest instead. It was not exactly a great placement for attack, though she got along of fur and flesh anyhow. Summiter retaliated, going for the back of her neck where he could reach. She snagged at his chest, pushing on him to try and out manuaver him though in her attempt it was obvious she was not trying to sink deep enough to draw blood. It was revealed as merely a spar of sorts, a bit of a rough and tumble. Hopefully, Summiter would get the message that she had no intention of dividing their packs more then they already were.

I just imagine them keeping hold and pushing each other around.

Warning bells went off in his mind. She was too close to where he'd been grabbed last time!  A small growl began in his chest. A slice of him wanted to rudely inform her he wasn't going to be the one bleeding. A different piece wished he'd just submit but the greatest was just seeing it as a match of sorts. The conflict of their awkward meeting that hadn't been settled. Without blood. Why he just about expected a new rip she did not quite push that line. She pushed against him physically, using her grip as leverage because despite the hold he had she did not make it easy to keep. He couldn't count how many times he almost lost his hold. Gaining ground, and then losing. No matter what he pushed back. Using a bit more of his strength then he should. Back and forth was growing tiring, and his jaws were aching. He thought elk were bad!

Hahaha, yeah, nothing like a good wrestle though!

Ravenna was growing tired as they more or less wrestled one another, holding on and using the weight of their bodies to try and push one another off balance and into the ground in a submit position. With him holding the back of her scruff her neck muscles and shoulders were aching and she tried to keep her upper half from sinking to the ground. Because he was pushing her neck, she felt her grip on his chest slipping and hopefully his pulling on her wouldn't cause her own teeth to tear his flesh. So far it didn't seem so though she could feel her teeth tearing out his fluffy winter furs. With one final attempt to gain the 'upper paw' Ravenna used one of her front legs to grab around his back of Summiter's own, hoping to swoop his front leg from under him as she pulled so that he would loose his balance and fall. In this position he would likely fall /on her/ but them both falling was still better then just her giving in.

His grip was definitely slipping. Normally he'd try to regain it. Since she wasn't hurting him necessarily, he didn't want to chance injuring her in turn. He hung on, hoping by stubbornly clinging she might be the first to let go. Even he knew what how small the odds of that were.

If he could just use his weight to force her down even. By then he was sure that would tear something. About ready to yield, she had gotten her leg over him. A muffled protest began, but it was too late. As he let go everything went black as he fell, waiting for it to hurt. He realized the snow hadn't caught him, it was her. As much as he was tempted to stay like that, he rolled off, and unto his back. A rough cough squeezed from his ribs and he heaved in a much needed breath. "Do you always play so rough?" The question was gruff, but only because he was winded.
