There's a road that takes me home

Morganna had broken from the group, surging ahead to warn the wolves of Aurora Heights of their presence. She trusted that Greer and Kyna wouldn't mind her walking a whole pack by their borders, provided they respected the boundaries and didn't stop to hunt or do more than rest before resuming their travels, but she still wished to give them fair warning. She was towing a lot more members than she had ever initially anticipated.

As the ground began to level she regained her bearings, with every intention of sending the rest of them towards the old Silent Moon Plateau territory to recuperate. She paused before getting too ahead of herself though, and sent up a call to her brother. She was on the move.

Returning to the heights after finding Tinley had been difficult but after being back a few days and throwing himself into his routines it had gotten easier. Pyriel had felt the pull to return to the bloodbreakers at first but decided he really didn't want that life any more. He was tired of fighting and the heights was a much easier life compared to what he had lived before coming.

He was doing one of his many patrols of the day when he heard the call. It was a call to Greer but he didn't think it would hurt to keep their guest company until the alpha could arrive. Quickly he made his way to where their visitor waited. “Hello, I know you called for Greer but perhaps there is something I can help you with?” He asked politely as he realized he'd never met this female before.

Elias had been chewing on a stick when the call reached his ears. He sat up a little straighter, his ears perked as he tilted his head to the side. That didn't sound like a loner asking for refuge, their voice held purpose and a sense of self-assurance Elias could only dream of. Whoever they were they wanted something from the Height's strong and silent type leader. He was tempted to just carry on gnawing away at his stick...because it was a very nice stick after all. But...attending borders was something he did a lot back at the Mountain. It wasn't his official job, nor was he expected to do it but old habits died hard.

Burying his stick under some snow, he shook off his coat and padded towards the border, wondering what sort of person he was going to meet. He approached, dawning ever close and- it was Morganna!! He'd recognise her anywhere!

Tumbling forward with all the grace of a charging grizzly, Elias narrowed the space between them with thunderous strides. Perhaps he wasn't minding his manners, or even setting a good example but who cared? A friend was here! He would never let a chance to say hello pass him by.

"Morganna! It's so good to see you again!!! He yelled as he skidded to a stop, his butt wiggling behind him as he dropped down into an excitable bow.

Things had been quiet atop the mountain, which worried the lithe shadow. His sister had mentioned that her children would be arriving in the lands of Lore soon, after their lengthy venture from Torbine, and that she would returning to the west. He was curious as to what happened to Niles and his mate, for he knew she had not been doing well the last time he spoke to his sister. Even the thought of losing his scarlet wife made his heart beat quicker, causing a weight to fill his chest.

It seemed, however, his thoughts had been answered.

Morganna’s call rang through the heights, announcing her presence and calling for him. Without hesitation he abandoned his duties, his spider-like legs moving nimbly over the rugged terrain. Unfortunately he had arrived late, as his second and the newest Heights member had greeted his sister before him. Striding past them, but not without nodding in greeting to both of them, he approached Morganna with a crooked grin atop her muzzle, for he knew what her presence meant. Something was happening. Something big. Move? He asked simply, his maw canted to the side as he pressed his nose to her cheek.

Morganna had been about to answer the tawny wolf when a familiar voice cut through the air, the large shape of a familiar face barrelling towards her with a slip. She leaned back on her rear legs, allowing her front paws to fall across his shoulders as she leaned down with a playful growl to snap gently at his ears. "Damsel! Good ter see yer didn' drown!" She teased playfully while her tail continued to wave, moving off the man as her brother approached. She managed to hook her nose under Greer's chin with a smile, "Yeah, I got Niles an' Skoll with me. There's 10 of us all up, we were plannin' on sleepin' at the plateau before goin' down th' other side. Didn't want anyone gettin' upset so thought I'd let yer know first." Her tail continued to wave merrily, things were finally starting to look up again.

He arrived at the border to find a dark female that he didn't recognize but he politely offered to help her until Greer could arrive. She however didn't get the chance to accept or decline his offer because their newest member had interrupted. Pyriel hadn't yet met this wolf and by his current behavior he was not too impressed. He would however have to remember the nickname that the male seemed to have acquired from the female. He would have to dwell on that later as Greer arrived and the information about the female he now knew to be Morganna came out.

Elias wasn't sure what to expect, but her greeting was far better than anything he could have imagined. She rushed ahead to meet him,barrelling forward till she rose up on her hind legs to give him a bit of affectionate roughhousing. Yep. This was it, he was living the life,floating on cloud nine. What more could he want from life? He had friends-who were happy to see him (!)- and he had a place amongst the wolves of the Heights. This wasn't supposed to be a forever thing but...it was getting all the more tempting with each passing day.

"Nope! I learned the error of my ways!"He beamed, rather proud of himself.

Shuffling back, and of course still wearing his big, goofy grin, Elias flopped down onto his haunches to let Greer and Morganna talk it out. They had leader stuff to do, if he didn't try to curb his enthusiasm he'd get annoying sooner rather than later. With his tail still swishing against the snow his ears perked as the leaders chattered away. A quick side glance at Pyriel told Elias he didn't much care for his behaviour but....what was so wrong with being happy? Maybe he should lighten up a bit, Elias would even be willing to show him how!

There was talk about ten wolves and moving. It wasn't really any of Elias' business but...did that mean Morganna would be nearby? He hoped so, it was always good to see friends.

His mercury gaze swept between his sister and his newest subordinate, a single brow arched. Truthfully, the shadow wasn’t surprised that his sister was already acquainted with Elias. It was Morganna’s business to know everyone, whether they were part of her own pack or of the surrounding packs. He raked his teeth along his sister’s cheek as she responded to his question, announcing that Niles and Sköll?! were with her. He blinked, confused by his older brother’s return. Where had his dear brother Sköll been hiding all these months? But that would have to wait for when he did not have an audience. Ten wolves? Morganna really had been busy. Morg always welcome, he hummed as he flashed her a cheeky grin, his tail sweeping behind him. It would give him a chance to catch up with his sister or, if he was lucky, his younger brother. Niles’ mate must have passed, otherwise he would not have joined his sister on her mission west. Quaking Vale? He asked, his brows pinched together. Had the pack fallen with Niles’ mate?

Morganna tried to throw the first subordinate a grateful smile but it may have been hidden by her brother's hulking form. She was glad that Elias had learned his lesson and managed a chuckle in response to his statement, after the month that she had, she wasn't sure she had the compassion left to save his ass again without recharging so it worked out well for both of them. "There were only three o' 'em when I got there an' after Castel went well, I couldn' let Niles stay, he'd starve himself ter death lookin' at 'er grave an' th' other one, well it's up ter him if 'e stays. Once things settle down if he's still around I'll have ter get more than a name." It wasn't like her to be so disorganised, but with Maeve mauled, Celandine sporting a sprained ankle, Skoll recovering from whatever those women had done to him, her healer visiting a pack in the north and knowing that Piety had chosen one of Craw's wives over her, well... It took a lot of effort to remain civilised. "What about you? How's th' family?"
