I marked this mature for blood and language

Coward. You are nothing but a fucking coward! She wanted to scream it and yet, she did not want to waste the energy. It was she who was the coward, she was the one that ran in the first place but she had a good reason. The reason she told him, that she screamed at him as she begged him to take her life. She had held back, she both weighed more and had more strength. She meant every word she cried, every thing that she told him was true. She could not kill the one she loved, she could not end his life no matter how badly he might want it. She was in love with him, the year they spent apart did not change this.

A sigh left her bloodied lips, it was both his blood and her own. Maybe if she laid her long enough his task would be complete, even though he had ran from her, maybe if she made sure scabs did not form.. she could bleed out. She was still in the position she gave to him, just as she could have killed him she place her life on the line. She was on her side, covered in blood, her neck exposed and free for a rather slow death. She told him to end it, she had given him an easy kill and yet he ran. It seemed he was all talk after all, speaking of how he was going to have to kill her but when she let him.. he ran. Just like she did.

Tears would have fallen if she had not already cried enough, she was at her lowest. For a moment she looked up at the rather depressing heavens, curious if her mother was looking down at her before she let her eyes close as exhaustion began to pull at her. What was she going to do now?

@Fiagira sorry for the wait.
Just like he had promised, after asking for her permission, Lorcan had travelled to the Wildwood in search of Chaga mushrooms for @Ravenna. Normally the heavy snow which arrived in the winter months would have prevented him from collecting any medicinal plants, but he had remembered the medic telling him how the fungus grew on the trunks of birch trees. That meant that, even with the snow, there was a chance that he would still find some.

The agouti male had spent many hours searching through the birch trees, approaching each one with interest and inspecting their trunk for anything that resembled black rot. Whilst the majority of the trees had proved disappointing, he had struck luck on some of them. Rearing up onto his hind legs as he clambered up against the pale silver bark of a birch tree, his pearlescent teeth clamped delicately around a large piece of fungus and carefully pealed it away. Stumbling backwards into the thick snow which gathered around the base of the tree, Lorcan swiftly turned around to place it in the small pile alongside the other pieces he had gathered.

Not quite yet satisfied with the size of his collection, the male covered the stash with snow, and once again picked a random direction to traipse through the woodland in search of more chaga. Golden eyes had just spied another silver birch tree up ahead when a scent in the breeze caught his attention. Blood – and not just any blood, wolf’s blood. Dark nostrils flared as he inhaled the scent and tentatively stepping forwards he narrowed in on the casualty. Standing within the shadows of the trees, Lorcan observed the female suspiciously and checked for signs of other wolves before he finally stepped forwards to approach her.

Stopping short a few paces, his golden eyes ran along her battered body as she lay there in the snow, her tawny pelt stained a gruesome crimson red. Lorcan released a bark to catch her attention and then lowered his tail to a neutral position and waved it behind him, to show her that he meant her no harm should she suddenly wake up. The last thing he wanted was to be attacked for being too close to an injured wolf.
