Garmir Ghostpaw

Quite true, the boy had done nothing that would deserve Garmir's company and yet the strange male was set on following. It was perhaps just pure misfortune that led to this encounter - or perhaps it was meant to happen. Noticing that their path changed slightly - away from direct route towars the mountains, Garmir was more convinced now that this wolf lived somewhere either beyond or upon it. Information was what he was after, but there was something else he wanted from Cyril before he would cease this torment and let the boy go.

Dodging the question entirely, Garmir took a measuring gaze at the youngster, his poison green eyes especially keen on expression and body language that the other one gave. That smile on his face slowly faded as he watched, moving just a tiny bit closer as he in turn asked question of his own. "Do you believe in fate, boy? A simple question really - no right or wrong answer." -He asked out of blue, his tone little more serious now, as if there could be wrong answer and what would follow next could very well depend on it.

There was a reason he asked for this and there was also answer he half expected from him, but perhaps - just perhaps this boy was deep down different and he may have found another one of... them. He waited for answer for what seemed almost like impatiently, the earthen male no longer bothering to even maintain his fake smile. He wasn't aggressive, even if he might have been intimidating sight but there was something odd about him that showed through his character.

Cyril Kael-Santoro

He was growing more and more uncomfortable the longer the stranger remained trailing him. Cyril knew he needed to disappear into the trees, and quick, before this lowly omega did something to harm him. Or called one of his buddies to do the job for him. The fur on the back of his neck stood on end as his pace quickened, his yellow gaze fixated on the dark figure to his side. His expression remained neutral, for he did not want to intimidate the stranger or make it seem like he was threatening him.

The question that rolled off his tongue was the last straw for the sullen boy. His upper lip curled, exposing his ivory incisors as he spoke through his teeth: No. Without waiting for a response he dug his feet into the frozen ground and took off, his long, gangly legs pumping beneath him in order to create as much distance between himself and the older male. He had no interest in continuing this conversation—not with some creepy omega! If the wolf tried anything Cyril would be sure to call for the leaders of his pack, as he was sure they would be interested to learn that he had been harassing a cub that was merely passing by. Or he’d call for his mother, who wouldn’t hesitate to teach this creep a lesson.

His pace quickened, ears tucked against the side of his head to make himself more aerodynamic as he plunged through the forest, his path heading for anywhere but the mountain…

Cyril’s exit unless stopped.

Garmir Ghostpaw

Cyril suddenly breaking into a sprint came not as a surprise for Garmir, for the boy's discomfort had been clear on his face and posture for a while. There had been enough teasing alright, and the earthen male did recieve answer - although he would have had one last bit to share before they were to depart. With a huff, he watched the young wolf run - and quite fast he had to admit. Amazing how good runner someone could be when motivated enough to do so.

Garmir sat down, both disappointed and bemused at once. Not many wanted to play his games - that was understadable, but at no point had he planned to harm the young wolf. As he watched the shadow disappear among the trees, the strange omega shouted out loud after him; "THAT WAS THE RIGHT ANSWER!"

Oh well, there was no point sitting here all alone. Cyril had played the game, though he had not seen the end of it. Perhaps next time if the boy was braver could they play the end part. The earthen male looked behind him, remembering he was quite far away from home. He should propably hunt on his way back, to be useful for his generous hosts. With that, he stood up and took one final glance at the direction where  the youngster ran. A chuckle escaped his maw as he turned around and set course towards the Charred Ash Draw. Enough fun for today.

Exit Garmir unless stuff?

Cyril Kael-Santoro
faded & archived <3 thanks for the thread, @Garmir! it was fun (even if cyril is a bit weirded out XD)

He did not stop running. Not even when the earthen male called out to him, his voice echoing through the trees, chasing after Cyril. His ears folded against the back of his skull in an attempt to block it out, his brows narrowed with determination as he sprinted through the gnarled trees.

That was the right answer!

And what did that mean? What was his reward for guessing the right answer? It didn’t matter—the boy did not intend to find out. What mattered to him was putting as much distance between himself and the strange male as possible, and making sure that his trail couldn’t be easily tracked. He began moving more sporadically, brushing his fur against trees in the wrong direction to throw off his scent. What he really needed was a river to mask his scent. Then he’d be in the clear… Fade — thread complete.
