Bastet Akhenaten
Private for @Birtie

Bastet Akhenaten

She felt her stomach lurch, it was a feeling she'd been experiencing on occasion and it wouldn't die even despite the amount of food she ingested or drink she consumed--it was the unsettling feeling of uncertainty that kept her up at night. She had every right to know what was happening and yet strangely enough her usually outspoken and open male lead had been absent lately, she noticed too that another wolf in particular had been frequenting around him lately, it was a sight she had not expected to see but knew that spring brought out feelings that were hard to repress. Swallowing a burp that dared to emit from her mouth, she lifted her head and called for Bir, the woman who had come into the pack so very ready to make a change and take control without so much as introducing herself. She felt that before there was a paramount change, it would be best to get her feelings out before they made her explode.

Birtie Parlow-Tallis
phone post pls excuse~

She didn't exactly feel better now. Granted she didn't fully know how this part worked. She still smelled and the itch was still there. It made her frown and her brows furrow sharply. Perhaps she was being too impatient. Maybe nothing was supposed to happen.

It was a call for her that broke her clouded mind. Truthfully, she was thankful for the call. It would take her mind off things. Or at least she hoped it would. She took long strides there, not wanting to make the dark female wait. When Birtie arrived she let her tail hang limply and head settle lower than Bastet's. Now was not the time to be challenging so for now she'd play her part and play it well.

"You called?" The large Parlow rumbled in neutral tones with the faintest trace of curiosity.

It was good ^^

Birtie was quick to respond, her posture was much different than previous and she assumed it was rightfully so--there was no need for a challenge. She didn't quite understand the sudden dim of the cream woman's fire, everything about her before was ablaze and lit, ready for a change and prepared to take it without having properly earned it and yet today, standing in front of Bastet, she actually displayed herself properly. For now, the dark woman would play alone but she was certain that something about this woman was off--in fact her stomach began to do somersaults. A single ear flicked backward when she sighed heavily, deciding whether to bite her tongue but she was certain that if she did that then the woman standing before her might not understand her message as clear, so instead her filter had been lifted, if only slightly. "You look well, in fact very well." she mentioned, having caught whiff of Kajika in the wind and knew that it came heavily from the cream woman's pelt.  "How have you been settling in?" she asked, though it was hard to conceal her lack of interest-- she was merely prying for information, both of them knew this.

Birtie Parlow-Tallis
slight mature post for strong language

A brow raised in slight confusion at the woman's words. She didn't understand where it came from. "Really? Because I kind of feel like shit." She chuckled softly. Perhaps shit wasn't the best way to put it but by no means did she feel any different than any other suffering female this season. That much should have been obvious from the scents on the air.

Needless to say, the confusion stayed rooted in the Parlow. Where was this all coming from? She had expected something more than mere small talk. "Just fine." Birtie answered honestly.

"What did you call for? Just some small talk?" It was unusual and unwanted. The large female would much rather be keeping away from the others until her hormones settled.

Her head nodded, lips pursing as the woman spoke. She was honest with her, well as honest as Bastet could guess anyway, and though she didn't want to mention it, the woman did look like shit. Breeding season probably kept her awake at night, the itchy urge for the comfort of a male was probably the reason she was trailing so closely behind the rump of their lead male and if she knew anything about Kajika, she was certain he was kind enough to keep her there, at his side for sake keeping. She had been able to quiet those nagging urges, her traumatic past was enough to make her never want the pleasure of conceiving another child into the world but mother nature was not done with her and like the women in the pack she still bled. Unlike her young counterpart though, she housed herself in her den until the urge died down, there was no wolf in this pack that had caught her attention nor deserved her time. "I wanted to see how things were with you, last we met wasn't on the friendliest of terms," she reminded the cream woman, inhaling sharply and keeping her own attitude in check--Birtie was the feisty type apparently. "you don't mind if we get to know each other a little bit, do you?"
