"Windy weather and moist snow have caused snow rollers to form all over."

This place, it was different. Obviously, the terrain was something to get used to, learning to manoeuvre through and what could stand as landmarks. Already she had let a day go to waste after Lorcan attempted to treat her shoulder wound, giving it time to do its magic. But once it had passed she was on the move, wanting to become familiar with her new surroundings if she were to be staying here for x amount of time. Something had caught her attention while exploring as well, the young female moving away from the lake and towards the base of the mountain that stood on either side of the pack territory. Amber gaze fell upon these strange circular shapes of snow, and not just one or two, there were multiple ones scattering the base. Eyes narrowed and so Anaeia would glide in, tail held behind those darkened thighs. This would be a new find for herself, never encountering this phenomenon before.

OOC here!

This was amazing, it was turning out exactly how the youth had hoped. Clear Water Tarn was exactly what the boy had been craving all this time, friends, companionship, a place where he had a purpose. Best of all, he hadn’t had to come alone. Pebble’s agreement to come alone made him happier. He stood still in the snow, inhaling softly, something about the quiet female had captured the yearling’s attention, a strange mystery to unfold, one he was happy to do bit by bit.

Daesamar’s grin widened a bit, he needed to find her, see how she was doing and if she was recovering well or not. After all, she had hunted for him, it felt like checking up on her was the least he could do. So, he made his way down from the lake’s edge. After a few minutes, he started to see it, it looked like small lumps in the snow at first. “What…” he murmured softly, his head cocking to the side as he leaned in, sniffing at the odd roll. Was it snow? He hadn't ever seen the powdery substance shaped like this before, so he did the logical thing.

He snapped his fangs into the snow, the sudden cold caused the boy to yelp in surprise, pulling his snout back and sneezing as some of it got into his notrial. After the fit passed, he grunted, looking around. A brown pelt nearby caught his attention, his grin turning into a goofy smile as Daesamar let a soft bark out before coming closer to Pebble as she crouched over one of the larger rolls, his snow covered snout gave away exactly what he had tried to do as his tail wagged slightly “Hey!” he chirped, glancing out toward the strange phenomenon. “Ever seen anything like this before?”

A bark, though soft, would catch the females attention, pulling her skull away from the ball of snow and allowing those amber eyes to fall upon the source. Daesamar. Almost immediately her posture would change from that of curiosity to something along the lines of familiarity and relaxation. Even her tail dare to give a swing or two in a calm manner. But as he approached she would notice snow upon his snout, wondering what he had been up to for a brief moment. Tongue slipped out in greeting, the simple action when the male explained a name seeming to have stuck as a greeting for him since she did not speak.

He questioned her knowledge of the strange sight, the girl looking towards the rolls then back to Daesamar with a slow shake of her head. This was new to her, and she wasn't quite sure how to feel about it. Surely these could be of no danger to them, right? After all, they weren't moving at all and weren't all that large. Just then she would rear up on her back legs, using her front paws to prop herself against the thing so she could sniff curiously.

So, it was a new thing for both of them, that was a bit disappointed, the inquisitive yearling had a slight hope that maybe his tawny packmate had known, now he was itching to find out exactly what they were. Did they pose a threat to the pack? Questions he needed answers too. First however, he grinned, noticing her more relaxed posture. It brought a smile to the boy’s lips, before he mirrored her greeting, letting his tongue hang out the side of his mouth. It felt like something special, something only she and he shared, like a secret handshake and symbolic of the first time they had crossed paths.

As she propped herself up, Daesamar stepped closer, both to get a better look at the strange roll, and to offer himself as a cushion incase she fell over. She sniffed high, so he sniffed low,, letting his nose rub against the base as he pressed into it gently. The action tickled his nose, he felt the overwhelming urge to sneeze creeping like a predator. Trying to fight it, he plunged his muzzle into the roll, just in time to sneeze violently, dislodging bits of snow and squeak in surprise as fresh snow landed on his muzzle. When the fit ceased, he groaned quietly “Oh yea, um, don’t lick it...that happens.”

It would appear that the two young wolves were inspecting this strange thing from top to bottom, sniffing along for anything that could have stood out about it. It was strange and because of that, she wasn't quite sure how to feel about it. Annoying? Boring? Surely it could not be anything dangerous or else those two leaders would be here already and disposing of the threat. Brows came together as she was about to push off, but a sudden motion and sound from Daesamar would startle the girl, to some degree. She jumped away, as though the roll was going to strike at them. Back arching and body streaming to the side like a cat, and landing back on all four just a foot or two away.

Head was lowered and lips peeling over those canines, ears pulling forward and ready to grab her companion should the roll try anything else. But nothing happened, the boy simply sharing what the snow did without concern. For a few moments she would watch him, eyes narrowing the slightest amount as though she did not fully trust this. And then she would relax, tail dropping and head raising as she strolled over to his side. She even sniffed at his face, focusing on his snout where some of the flakes had gathered. Perhaps a little too close for comfort.

The large boy yelped, shrinking back at Pebble’s sudden actions, he wasn’t able to hide his amusement too well, his lips sealing as he tried not to giggle aloud. He was failing horribly, his head bobbing, the soft snorts trying to escape. He sucked ina breath however when she came closer, they looked almost eye to eye. Suddenly, the boy swallowed, the laughter gone, replaced by a sudden nervousness, his heart seemed to skip a beat as it’s pace quickened.

A few seconds passed between them, he debated on what to do, by his nature, Daesamar was a very affectionate wolf. He enjoyed the close contact of those close to him, but with pebble’s silence, he wasn’t confident in how she might react but...he leaned in, bumping his snout against hers, some of the snow falling onto her slender muzzle as he stuck his tongue out in silent greeting. His nostrils flared, her scent was stronger now. Was he getting sick? the sudden rush of his heart fluttered, threatening to burst out of his chest as he closed his eyes, unsure what the odd tingling was. "I don't think their'll hurt us." he said, breaking the silence after a few more moments passed.

She watched @Daesamar with a hint of confusion, eyes narrowing on his the convulsing of his body and the strange sounds he was making. Was this the work of the roll? The thought made her glance briefly at it before reutrning her gaze to the male. Or was something just wrong with him? Whatever it might be, it seemed that as she went to sniff at the snow on his face he grew silent. An odd individual he was. Her ears slowly folded back as she inspected that he was okay.

Suddenly those ears seemed to flick forward at the bump of noses, pulling head back with a shake as a small amount of snow fell upon her own. Touch. It was strange, something she was not accustomed to and it felt weird. Would he pass that convulsing thing to her now? She watched him carefully as though on alert, but he looked okay, even sticking his tongue out in that greeting developed between them.

It wouldn't hurt them. She had been steadily staring at him in those few moments, processing this. And then she seemed to snap of of it, blinking a few times and looking away. Was this normal? Is this what she should be doing on here? Away from them? Turning back to Daesamar the girl would huff, to catch his attention. Stepping forward with her head held up to be leveled with his own.

The yearling grinned like an idiot, keeping his tongue poking out the corner of his mouth when he caught his companion's soft huff. Silver eyes closed slowly as he blinked, opening them up to find her almost nose to nose with him, he let a soft startled squeak escape. He stared at her a moment longer before looking away, a wave of heat flooding his cheeks as he tucked his chin into his chest and mumbled an apology.

He didn’t know what he was feeling, but it became worrying when it didn’t pass. He was growing desperate to find a topic of conversation, but his throat was drying, he swallowed quickly, looking around and focusing on the odd snow rolls. “So u-” he started, his voice grew in pitch, ending in a short hiccup. “What formed it?” he managed to get out. Quickly and almost incoherent, fearful that he’d emitted another strange noise today.
