Dark brown ears pushed back against his head as Niyol recalled something his brother had said earlier. This place certainly was strange. The pair had been successful in finding their way out of the disorientating quaking aspens, but now as the large brown and silver male looked around he was faced with a scene entirely more unnerving. The aspen trees had been replaced by sickly looking pines. Huddled tightly together, it was almost impossible to move forwards without brushing up against the the brittle bark of their trunks or snapping the delicate ends of their branches clean off. The place reeked of death and decay, and Niyol was sure it would do him and his brother no good to wander the forest for long.
Flinching slightly at the sudden snap of a branch as he pushed past another pine tree, Niyol paused to glance around him, making sure that @Kanti was not slinking around close by to have possibly witnessed it.
