Inactive VI. Yearling
Nevrakis
Only @Garmir for the first round or two please <3

When Garmir had led him out of the forest the yearling had been told to wait in the general area until he came back for him. It had been an odd request to say the least, but as long as he was out of that scary forest he was happy to stay put. And so for the next almost week Nevrakis had done as he was asked of: stayed put in the overgrown forest. He made use of the new hunting technique his earthen companion had shown him, catching some mice when the opportunity arose, but for the most part he spent his time familiarising himself with the area. If he was to live near here he figured it would do no bad to know the lay of the land.

Nevrakis set his rump down in the snow, jaws opening wide in a large yawn, tongue curling out of his mouth as he let out an exhale. The sun had only just risen above the horizon with a few beams of sunlight penetrating through the forest canopy. It was certainly brighter than in the woods to the north, and at the very least he could hear some birdsong as the avian creatures woke up. He had no idea when Garmir would return - if he would return - but he was beginning to feel an itch in his paws, one that demanded he be on the move. After so long of not staying in one place for too long he was feeling antsy, and so he decided to keep his mind and paws busy by attempting to track down some more mice in the snow. Maybe he could bring a gift along?

Reason Garmir had asked Nevrakis to wait before attempting to join the pack was of course the recent drama that had consumed the pack for a while. He had decided to let things calm down a little before making attempt to bring in another member to the ranks. Also, the breeding season was still in effect and it made things more tense.

Garmir had not really checked on his newly adopted apprentice for almost a week and he wasn't even sure if he would still find the youngster in the WildWoods. Boy's scent still lingered in the area however and judging from the tracks and craters in the snow, he had noticed while tracking his pupil - told Garmir that Nevrakis had begin to use his unique hunting method, alot.

Garmir eventually found the dark boy in the woods seemingly amidst another mouse hunting session. It was almost shame that snow would be gone soon, for the youngster seemed to enjoy hunting the little rodents. Garmir let out huff to catch the boy's attention and he then - with a smile on his face announced; "It's time to meet the others. If you are ready..."

Nevrakis

The yearling was in the midst of a pounce when he heard a loud exhale from somewhere behind him, the noise causing him to misjudge the placement of his paws and making him somewhat face plant in the snow. At least his back half was still standing upright. Shaking the snow from his face, Nevrakis jumped to his paws and turned to face the other wolf, lips pulling back in a wide grin and tail wagging happily behind him upon realising it was Garmir. So he had decided to return after all.

He nodded ecstatically at his earthen companion's words, an affirmative bark spilling forth from his maw in response. "Lead the way." Nevrakis had taken the time to mull over his decision and he had come to the conclusion that he would take Garmir up on his offer, consequences be damned. However, he had no idea where the pack territory actually was, though it would likely not be difficult to smell out where the border lay if he chose to do so. But he waited for the green-eyed male to begin leading him to where his new home would be for the foreseeable future.

@Dread (not sure if Dread is leader soon?)

Since the boy was so ready and eager to join right away, Garmir did not really have to say much else. He took point and begin to lead them through wildwood. He glanced over his shoulder at the eager boy whom was quite certain he would be a member of a pack soon. Perhaps, but would he be accepted depended more on him than what the earthen male had to say and it was important the boy would make good first impression.

"Remember when we meet the leaders, be respectful. Wether you make it in or not depends on what kind of impression you make at first. I can vouce for you but decision does not rest on me." -He adviced while they continued, Garmir steadily leading the two towards the burnt section of the forest that was the Charred Ash Draw. "If they ask what you can offer to the pack,  be brief but to point. You can hunt, you are able bodied and you have no issues with taking orders." -He gave Nevrakis some bulletpoints to offer in case anything was asked of him.

As soon as charred and burnt trees begin to first appear, Garmir slowed his pace down and finally brought them to a halt. They were not exactly at the border, but closeby - surely close enough for the pack to hear them. He decided to stop here in event that Kerberos would feel like chasing Nevrakis from his territory. With border being some distance away, there was less chasing to be needed. The earthen male lifted his head higher and then howled, calling for audience and adding his own signature tune to it in the end. His gaze then turned to the young boy and he murmured to him gently. "When someone comes to see us, let me do the talking first. Speak only if something is directly asked from you, alright?"

Treyah Tainn

The feeling under her skin was getting worse by the day. What had started as an annoying itch had grown to a full blown burn, her scent only getting worse as time progressed and when coupled with their run of bad luck, her father's disappearance, Maera and Kerberos's fight, and his reluctance to hold onto his position, Treyah was more often seen with a scowl on her face, and if not, she was certainly absent her usual smile.

So when Garmir called, she considered leaving it to someone else to deal with. The note spoke of some importance but was it really her place right now? Would she be making herself vulnerable by leaving the territory to address him? Then again, was she any safer here than she was out there? So she answered his call with a short note of her own, turning to make her way towards the subordinate, to see what he might want.

The sight before her at least managed to ease some of the wrinkles from her brow, tail arching up in greeting as she met the man with a shove of her flank to his, her gaze, however, remained on his companion. "Who is your friend?"

Nevrakis

Nevrakis followed closely behind his earthen companion as the other male lead him through the overgrown forest. At Garmir's advice his ears splayed to the side in nervousness. What if he did not make a good impression? What if the first time he even remotely entertained the idea of joining a pack he was turned away? That would be just his luck. He nodded in response to Garmir's instructions of how best to approach the upcoming situation, a shaky sigh leaving his maw. "Got it." Surely he would not be able to mess up such a simple thing, right?

"Oof." So caught up in his thoughts, the yearling bumped into the green-eyed male whom had suddenly decided to stop. He muttered an apology under his breath before slinking to Garmir's side, settling his rump heavily on the snowy ground. It took him a few moments to realise the trees around them had changed. They were... charred, like they had been burnt a while ago and never recovered, yet also never fell over. He wondered if they were even still alive, or if they were now just a relic of what the area had been like. The yearling sat quietly as Garmir howled for one of the leaders, feeling his skin crawl with anticipation. He gave a frenetic nod at his earthen companion's guidance on how to act when someone eventually arrived.

When a tawny coloured wolf appeared his back straightened and he glanced sideways at Garmir, brows furrowing slightly. She looked a little... young to be a leader, but he decided not to question it. Nevrakis pursed his lips when she asked who he was, fighting the urge to reply with his name. Garmir had told him to be silent until addressed, so that was what he was going to do. To the best of his abilities, at least. However, he did shift his wheat yellow gaze to look at the vicinity of the tawny female's face, knowing well enough to not look her directly in the eyes.

@Treyah

In all honesty, Garmir was relieved to see that it was Treyah whom replied to his call. Nevrakis had far better chance joining the pack if she evaluated him rather than Kerberos, for she was far gentler character. Garmir had undending respect and admiration for Treyah at this point, even when he was far older than her and it showed in his posture when she approached the duo. Garmir lowered his head and ears for her while they greeted, enjoying her physical contact and slightly leaning against her flank as she recognized him and asked the question about Garmir's companion. Her heat was evidently still ongoing and as trained as Garmir's mind was to ignored such things, Treyah in heat was something that managed to distract his thoughts regardless. Garmir wondered if her heat had anything to do with the way she approached him or if she had always been this physical. He forced his mind away from her and got to the point however.

The earthen male smiled brightly, almost proudly with his tail waving behind him and as he moved forward as to not stand between Treyah and Nevrakis. He turned around and then introduced the two to one another. "Treyah, this is Nevrakis - a youngster I met some week earlier in the Ghastly woods while hunting. He is looking to join" -He nodded at the boy before turning his nose towards Treyah in turn. "Nerakis, this is Treyah - our lead female and kindest wolf you will ever meet. Say hello to her." -He instructed while moving to give small encouraging nudge to the dark boy.

turn your face towards the sun, let the shadows fall behind you

Treyah wasn't sure if Garmir's friend was shy or if he'd just been told to watch his words. She offered him an encouraging smile while Garmir filled her in, if he thought the boy was worth bringing home, she would trust his judgement on whether or not he would be a good fit. "I'm sure we'd be happy to have him!" There was a tease in her voice, obviously addressing their company, rather than talking around him. Her eyes offering the yearling another once over before moving in to bump her shoulder against his own in acceptance before rounding on the other wolf with a playful growl and a shove. "Aww Garmir, can't even let me pretend to be the big bad leader for a day huh?" She didn't expect to do more than maybe ruffle his fur as she aimed her teeth somewhere over his shoulder.

Nevrakis
Apologies for the wait guys! :x @Garmir

The yearling gave a shy grin as his earthen companion introduced him to the tawny leader, nodding his head to emphasise Garmir's words. After a long and arduous thought process he had finally come to the conclusion that he wanted to join a pack, something he would never have thought of doing just a few months prior. But he figured life was filled with taking chances and risks.

Nevrakis balked at Garmir's instruction to say hello. He had thought he was supposed to stay quiet, though it would be considered rude to not greet the leader of the pack. "Uh... hello, miss Treyah." He cringed inwardly after he spoke. Miss? The yearling had no idea how to greet a leader, but he was sure miss had not been appropriate. She at least seemed to be an easygoing type of wolf, judging by her teasing words and friendly demeanor. He stood still as she bumped her shoulder against his, ears twitching curiously. Did this mean he was in? Nevrakis looked at Garmir for help, hoping he would be able to shed some light on what had just happened.
