Olwen Spitfire
(I will be PPing January in this post and replying with her after whomever joins. Perhaps @Adelayde )

Owlen had found his cousin awhile back, but not his sister. They had been sticking primarily to one area, away from the nearby pack, and pretty much solitude from anything. There a hole lie in the ground, an old den of someone's or something's that had been left behind. It was big enough for the two wolves and they had been doing fine on their own, catching food, keeping other critters from the den, and even making a small cache for themselves. They argued frequently about what to do about Lumi's disappearance. Owlen was sure she would return, but January insisted she left the lowlands. Still the many strongly believed that his little sister would come back to the lands most like home.

However, as time went on he became more and more concerned. Where was she? How was she? It was her first heat, was someone taking advantage of her? She had been given the talk...but still. Owlen and January, following Ody's warning on not passing the wall of stench, had moved out that morning with intent to ask them. Maybe just maybe they had seen his little Lumi. She was so young...and this world was cruel. It was midday before they reached the boarders, having kept their little den site farther off. Olwen noted to himself that they would need to move after this. Wouldn't want anyone messing with them afterall.

Owlen approached the boarders, lifting his maw to howl, January joining in the call. Then, the two waited, Jani sternly reminded Owlen of his manners by nipping at his bum, "Be respectful." Wincing the white male lowered his tail, allowing it to find an unfamilar place slinked between his legs. January did the same, but futhermore lowered herself to a degree with ears off to the side. Other than his tail, Owlen did not relent on his normal proud posture. He knew who he was and where he stood, it didn't matter that his family was miles away and he only owned a small den here. He was Owlen Spitfire. The wounds from his fight with Ody had healed well, but garnished him some battle scars nontheless.

It was hard for the tawny second to stay put for more than a few moments lately. Anxiety rattling through her as she paced the Rye territory, day in and day out. @Drestig's death hit her hard, unable to really focus or comfort those around her who probably needed it, she sought out a sliver of seclusion today as she patrolled the borders alone. Ade had noticed her heat had dissipated recently, which would mean the pack would indeed have a litter this year despite Drestig's death. However, she was unsure how the rest of the Drestig's family would feel about it. With the recent disappearances, the Rye was in a drought for members, leaving only @Jessie, her boys, @Laike, and herself within the fields. So when a pair howled at the borders, her tawny ears perked forward as she made her way towards the call.

Arriving upon the borders with her banner over her back though a gentle wave to the pair was given as her mismatched eyes settled upon them with a friendly smile. "Welcome to Wild Rye Fields! How can I help you?" Smiling through the sadness like always.

January was not one to argue, but with it being the mating season, she had been more touchy. Why wouldn't this stubborn fool listen to her? Lumi was clearly nowhere near! They needed to head towards the trees. At least now he had come to some senses and with her prompting, or as he called it, nagging to ask someone. Of course this pack was the closest thing to them and made perfect sense. Jani had to agree with her younger cousin that it was odd how they claimed land, but who were they to judge? Especially now since they themselves had been holding down their own little den area. Back at home they had found places to stay during the night if need be but never stayed.

Jani believed for as long as they were here they needed to learn the ways of these wolves and be respectful. A smile came to her lips as the woman approached them in friendly manner. She looked to Owlen and pushed her chin down on his head in hopes he would lower it, then returned her attention back to the woman. "Hello, I am January, this is my cousin Owlen. We're looking for our little Lumi. She just turned two, so it's her first heat. We're really worried, she got lost following some...what did you say they were called Owlen?"

"Deer"

"Ah, yes, deer. She is almost pure white with a dark muzzle and greenish yellow eyes. She's extremely friendly but we're knew to these parts and still learning the rules around here." Briefly she looked to Olwen's scabby lips that were scarring. "We were hoping maybe you have seen her? She's very small." The woman stopped the onslaught of words now and waited.

The large Mackenzie female towered over the Arctic pair and even more so when the female moved to lower both of their stances as she approached. It was humbling to know they knew some manners as loners as the female was quick to start introductions and cut to the chase of why they called upon the Rye wolves. Tawny ears perked forward as January went on to ask if they had seen a family member of theirs.

Adelayde had been in their position plenty of times before since becoming part of the Rye. Having gone on trips in search of three wolves that had gone missing, though each time she came back empty handed. She described the one they were looking for, but Adelayde hadn't come across anyone matching that description. A frown settled upon her ebony lips, "I'm sorry, I haven't seen anyone that matched your description recently." And she had been traveling recently and didn't see anyone that looked like how she described.

Olwen lowered his head begrudgingly, lifting it slightly above Jani's when she had finished. Just because his cousin wanted to act this act didn't mean he did. Anyways, he was the alpha's son, not January. Like a grumpy old man Owlen stood there scowling and listening to his cousin ramble on. Why was she doing all the talking?

Finally Jani had stopped to allow the Rye's wolf to speak. His ears pressed forward, an expression of genuine interest on his face. His tail waged briefly in hope, a faint smile, but gone just as quickly as it had came. The female hadn't seen Lumi? "A-are you sure? She's my little sister...she's real small. She's helpless out here." He croaked, ears pressed so far forward it seemed they would detach themselves. To say he wasn't crushed would be a lie, and for once, willingly, he turned to Jani. "What now?" He whispered,

Throughout the encounter, the ivory male stayed silent, though his presence was still noted with his reserved mask and strong aura. Adelayde could tell that normally, the smaller male held the reins with the way he held himself compared to the female alongside him. However, it seemed this missing girl affected him where January took the reins until Ade admitted to not ever seeing the missing girl they were looking for.

The loyal Rye second has been in their situation before and it was disheartening when she didn't get any leads from someone. Sphinx was still missing, but the tawny woman could only hope the Rye girl was capable enough to take care of herself outside of the Lore. She could only hope this missing girl could as well. Tawny ears pressed back against her crown empathetically as a frown tugged on her ebony lips. "We've lost girls here too and I've never lost hope that one day I would find them or they would find their way back here. But, you have to believe they are capable of keeping themselves alive or else you will go mad." If her advice could help these two in anyway, she would give them all the advice in the world. It sucked loosing someone, but it can't tear your own world apart in the process.

"I'm sure if you taught her anything, she is still out there alive and well."
