Ellery Prudence Hervok
Calling any and all VK members! Come and play with the little babby.

The gradual process of weaning begins and they can now follow adults for up to 1 mile from the den. With being allowed to accompany adults, learning continually advances with the aid of social interaction. Vocabulary lists proceed to grow and social or pack norms are picked up on.

Ellery wasn’t allowed to go anywhere without an adult, which was really bothersome at times. But, if Mother wanted it like that then there was nothing she could do about it. Perhaps later in life she would learn to question and the hows and the whys (respectfully of course, as she would always be a goody two-shoes), but for the moment she would obey without question. And boy was she bored. Mother had to go do Mother stuff and Papa had left to go down to the lake to do some Papa stuff. She was never alone for very long, but when she was she didn’t like it. Nope, not one bit. She sat outside the den, head resting on her paws as she stared around absently. When would someone come by and see her?

Yuka Thorben

After lifting his leg for the last time and marking the border, Yuka headed back for the heart of the territory, content on checking in with his sister and Ellery, as was his usual routine. Nothing was usually needed of him, his niece being accompanied by another adult and his presence not being needed. As the Thorben approached the communal den, however, Ellery's scent carried strong towards him, while others were faint. The creamy russet-hued man's pace increased - not out of concern, but because he was excited at the possibility of getting to spend some time with the child. Children were something Yuka had never thought about, something he never really wanted. But a niece he could dot on - he could definitely deal with that. Amber teal-flecked eyes landed on the growing girl lying down, almost patiently, outside the den. Yuka's head cocked to the side, an amused grin tugging at the corner of the non-damaged side of his lips - offering a lop-sided look. The Left Hand almost felt bad for her, there was nothing to do. Tail wagging behind, he spoke lowly, "Good evening, Ellery. Are you up for a walk?" It didn't really cross his mind that she would say no. After all, who would want to lay outside the pack den all day.
