RE:Jenny, whilst out at dusk, you stir up a colony of bats –it's a complete swarm!

One of the many things Jenny liked about the south was how different everything was. The mountain was so bland and uniform, everything was the same, with scarce a soul to pester or to trick. She liked the Tarn, she really did, it was home and she had plenty of fond memories of it. But Jenny was the sort who always wanted more, what she had was never enough, she lived for the moment and as things stood the sky was the limit. With both Selwyn and Archer blood running through the veins she was a force to be reckoned with, she just didn't know what to do with herself. Not yet.

For now, she slipped away when she could.

It was on one of these ventures she happened to stumble across a vast cavern, like a big open mouth with stalactites for teeth. Wonder sparkled in her eyes as she crept closer, her mind abuzz with all sorts of ideas and schemes. She'd claimed that burnt out tree as hers but this was leagues better than some blacked peice of wood, it was large and imposing, a fortress of stone. And from the smell of it, it was hers for the taking. Yessss.

Stepping forth into the darkness, Jenny's pupils dilated to account for the lack of light. What a sight she must have been, with only her yellow eyes standing out amongst all the black. She sniggered at the thought, of imagining herself to be some spooky creature, the sort that slunk through stranger's dreams.

Above her there was a strange rustling sound, her eyes wandered up and- oh. They were sleeping, hundred upon hundreds of little huddled bodies all crammed together. So tight it was hard to tell where one body began and where the other ended. The Selwyn peered over her shoulder, the sun had yet to set, wasn't it a bit early to be sleeping? Clearing her throat, Jenny spreaded her gait and let out the loudest "HELLO" she could muster.

Before she even had time to regain her breath Jenny was consumed by a hurricane of bats. Her voice bounced off the walls, echoing back and forth but even then she could scarcely hear it over the sound of beating wings. She could see nothing but bats, hundreds of blurry bodies as they swooped by, desperate to get away.

Scully Archer

He shouldn't have been so far out, but Scully was already known for not following the rules, much to his father's ire. Anyways, it wasn't necessarily his fault he'd fallen through the ground and now had to find his way out of the maze that existed below. Aside from dens, Scully hadn't thought about expanses might be underneath the dirt and grass, and now it was all he could wonder: what had made this? A whole pack of tunneling of wolves? A different animal? The walls were not earth but rather stone, impossible to cut through, so maybe it had just always been? He'd have to ask @Ravenna, if he ever made it out; she always had answers.

Sometimes, he'd catch glimpses of the sky, but there was no way he'd been able to climb his way up and out. He'd just balk at how quickly the sun was falling and then move on, back into the darkness and into the next draft of fresh air, hoping this time it'd be an exit. He was starting to grow frustrated when the relative silence was startlingly disrupted. His mind was hardly given time to process the single word before it was overloaded with more noise, and suddenly he was surrounded by something or somethings beating against and past.

Fight or flight kicked in, and with a snarl he started snapping at the unknown attacker. Quickly, Scully caught something small and leathery within his mouth. It crushed easily, and he hated everything about the way it felt. It wasn't one thing, it was a million, and he couldn't fight that. So he ran, through the dark and clawed wings and furry bodies until he hit something just as black but large and solid. As fast as Scully had been racing, colliding with the other youth wiped him out, and likely would her as well if she wasn't properly braced.

Jenessa Kay Selwyn

What a weird feeling this was, to be completely surrounded and yet somehow untouched by the swarm of bats. She expected to be nipped at, beaten by their leathery wings but not a single one actually touched her. And then something hard and heavy slammed into her, sending the Selwyn pup reeling as she landed on the floor with an airy "ooof"

Shaking off the collision, Jenny rolled onto her side and squinted. Had she been whacked by a giant bat? If so where was it? What sorts of tales could she spin? Instead, as the bats cleared her eyes landed upon a dark pup, one quite like herself but with silver eyes instead of yellow. More than that, she actually recognised the boy. What was his name? Skorpy? Sconny? Honestly she couldn't remember, nor did she even try that hard to.

Laying her front legs out in front of her, the Selwyn pup laid there as though it had all been a happy accident. Like she'd meant to fall over, that this was all part of the plan.

"Are you scared?" She asked, a cheeky little smirk settling upon her lips.
