All Welcome, Early Evening, Cloudy, -1°C
RE: A late season snow storm takes Relic Lore by surprise, take cover!

The crunch of crisp leaflitter beneath her paws caused her ears to prick as she stalked beneath the gently swaying willow branches. The warm breeze that had brushed through her thinning warm-weather coat had suddenly turned bitterly cold. The chill of it against her pale skin caused a shiver to run down the length of her spine and set her fur on edge. Above the drooping canopy, the afternoon sky had begun to turn dull and cloudy. Marlow could only assume that a storm was brewing, so immediately the wolf sought shelter beneath the gnarly, twisted roots of an old weathered tree.

Curling up tight within the confines of its protective roots, with her black-tipped tail tucked up over her muzzle, bright amber eyes kept watch over her immediate surroundings. The area was quiet, aside from the faint serpentine hiss of the wind as it shook the green tendrils of the hanging willow branches. As the outside temperature continued to drop, the agouti female could not help but wonder just how cold the nights got in the foreign lands. Seemingly alone, and with the weather taking a turn, the female promptly decided that she would stay put for the remainder of the evening and sleep through the storm.

Katiya Zakkai
A morning that had begun with warmer temperatures had shifted startlingly quickly as the day had progressed, the obvious signs of a developing storm becoming apparent by rapidly cooling temperatures and the gathering of dark, ominous clouds overhead. Rain or thunderstorms were not uncommon to witness during this time of year, but a snowstorm certainly was. A precarious situation to be in, though Katiya could not bring herself to feel the least bit concerned about it, not for herself. Though her coat had thinned in recent weeks, it was not enough yet to make things uncomfortable. That, along with the plethora of willow trees around aided in sheltering her to a degree. She did wonder what effect the cold would have on herbs and plants - it would be a shame if she were to need something only to find everything frozen and dead.

She resolved to try not to worry about it, however, traversing onwards composedly even as flakes began to drift downwards from the sky above. North was the direction she’d chosen, and she would continue with it. Katiya did not bother to attempt to disguise her steps as she slipped through the drooping willows, for stealth had never been her strong suit.

Discerning and tracking scents, though, was one of her better skills. So when she crossed one that appeared to have been created more recently, she felt compelled to turn and follow. Still, the wolf did not bother to mask her steps, brown eyes scanning vigilantly for any signs of life ahead, though the trees made it impossible to see very far. The slowly intensifying scent trail told her she was getting closer, prompting Katiya to pause and announce herself with an inquisitive woof.

approaching from the south c: - hopefully you don't mind!
