She trailed after him through the woods.
A minotaur in this weaved forest.
He had said he needed to return and she supposed she could not blame him. Yet she had needed to tie up things in their current home before anyone ran off to chase ghosts. Which left her a touch behind with which to do nothing more than follow his trail.
His scent would always be pressed into her mind and heart. They had been together far longer than she would have thought. Only because she had not dreamed of a life where she had settled down, ruled with a man by her side that she loved. Children abundant and each as troublesome as the last it seemed. Two of them followed far behind her.
They had been excited about the idea of an adventure, less excited about the idea of it being after their mother and father. So she had given them space to explore as long as they followed along. Especially as she neared in on @Kajika and his growing scent.
Although she was not as old as her husband, old age had still come for her as well. Less inclined to slam her body as a way of greeting these days. So she settled for a low warbled howl. Her voice a summons meant just for him.
She hoped for an answer in return. Enough for her to find him.
And find him she would.
